Silsbee beat Spindeltop

Silsbee lost to Jasper. Had a 4-1 lead and lost 6-4. I heard that Jasper had to forfit the game with West End Tuesday b/c of an illegal pitcher. Any body know if this is true.

West End won Silsbee and Spindletop square off tonight @ Spindletop

I know Jasper has an 8 yr old team playing in Lumberton at the LL tourny.

No, this is all the teams that put together a 9 yr old team. I know Buna, Kirbyville and Jasper did not field a team. Can't remember the others. Now, if you look close the way the bracket is set the top part could be the North and the bottom part could be the South.

I know of one error he had. Can any of you guess? It was definitely a 4-6-3 double play, not E4-4-6-3. Did the ball not land in his glove and then fall to the ground. Was he not moving. So easy of a catch a T-baller could have made it. No matter what the intention, it is an E. You are correct on three out of those four sentences. The thing is he still got two outs in stead of having two men on. It appeared that the Silsbee second basemen took notes on how to drop pop ups...if you want to play that game. OK so he took a couple of steps. No game being played here. Now, if you can keep up we are talking about errors on a certain second baseman. Not how many outs was made, nor are we talking about anyother second baseman. Just this one. Now let me get you up to speed. It was said that he had no errors, which is false. If he wanted an error free game he would have caught the ball, he did not he dropped the ball which is an error and in doing so two outs were made. So, try to stay on task about this certain second baseman and try not to drag other players in to make you fill better. It doesn't go into the books as an error, so therefore it is not an error. Learn the game before you speak =]. OK, is it because he recovered the dropped ball and made an out? I'm thinking that might be the only way an error would not be recorded.

I believe if you looked he put all the sports that each school had in common. Now, I don't know that each school has cross country. This is maybe why soccer is not on there either. If it were some schools would have more points. Think before spouting off at the mouth, keeps foot out. Way to go AAW, that's using your head for something else that a hat rack.

Does anyone have a 21-AAA District rule manual handy. Everyone would love to hear what the rule manual says about this situation. Me, I would love to see this game played out. Both teams were stroking the ball in bad weather. But rules are rules.

It is a shame that this year HF will be remembered by it's last two games. (If the one for BC is not finished). People will get on here and read all year long and remember what was said at the end of the season and not all season long. You always want to end a season on a winning note, weather a winning season or a losing one. These boys from HF can hit the ball, flat out smash it. That's what I will remember about HF. But most of the people on here will read and remember HF by the way they acted in games and the way they got a win. (If the one for BC is not finished). Both teams are in the playoff and congrats and good luck. Make 21-AAA proud.

Dang, these girls are pretty good and both teams are just juniors. Look for them to take that next step next year.

Don't tell em mactiger. Let them figure it out next year. And yes this young lady is very talented a long with the rest of the team. With the best Vball coaches in this area Silsbee has a better than good chance to make the playoff.

Didn't Silsbee place two girls doubles teams in state. That would be Burrell & Easley and Gardner & Lloyd. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Final Astros win 6-5. At the start of the year Houston could not pitch or hit. Then here lately there pitching got a little better, now it seems there hitting is coming around. Could it be that the Astros are pulling it together. One can only hope.

It's just one guy's opinion. Probably shouldn't bash anyone willing to help kids....Robert Verde is one of the best, but he isn't the only person out there who knows a thing or two. Give others some credit. I don't realy think he would want too uurrggg Not judgeing ,to each there own Every Child responds in a diffrent way ,to diffrent instructers .What may be great for one could ruine another . Blast was teaching mike epstien . It did help some kids, but just about destroyed others . We wasted all of the fall ,then went back to what we were doing . Find a method ,your child can learn and enjoys . If they do not feel comfortable at the plate and have to think about what to do at the plate ,they will fail . Both #6 and #17 from Nederland have taken from Green and JMO but both are pretty sucsessful hitters ,both lead the Bulldogs last season in Bat AVG. on the state runner up team ??? Ah, but runner-up by only a FEW INCHES! ;D Man that was funny, don't care who you are. :D

From where I was setting Statum appeared to not quite get there to tag the runner. So the umpire's call was correct.

Man, after two games in a row where we lost leads late in the game, Silsbee had some late inning heroics and a win. Are the Tigers turning the corner? Stay focus boys. Congrats on a great win. Go Tigers!!!
