  1. Wishing Dayton good luck. That veer offense if run right, without a selfish QB that wants to run the ball all the time, is very hard to stop. But, no step for a stepper.
  2. Oh.....WHAT!!!! Everybody been hearing that Kville is going to 2A next year, mostly from you. All I was doing was repeting what you had said. But as always YOU will and do turn people off of Kville.
  3. I thought ya'll where moving down to 2A, where ya'll will win state. lol. It don't matter where we play ya'll, besides we haven't lost at ya'll place yet. ;D
  4. Silsbee is getting close to full strength. OF comming to the Tiger Den, this will be a good one. Go Tigers!!!
  5. These stats come from chrom.com, that the coaches turn in. Bailey Jasper/QB pass 599 yds. 9 tds. rush 826 yds. 12 tds. rec. 44 yds. 0 tds. These are district numbers. Bailey really did not come to starting QB till mid way through the season. These are good numbers, Brooks has found a gem in this young player. Not playing all year at the same position will hurt him.
  6. This is where I'm at on this....Ok so we have a veteran 2B, with speed and will bat second. So that's two speedsters in the top two spots. Then Berkman, Lee, and Pence. Not bad first five. Then what. Hey we drafted Burke for SS sometime in the near future. Why not now. He has speed and a gun for a arm really good defencive player, has a little better bat that Everett. So lets go Whiginton, Burke, Catcher (who ever that is), then pitcher. I like Pence no. 5 hitter. We all know about his bat and speed, he will be on base for Whiginton. JMO.
  7. Thought we were talking about district not playoffs? Keep to the subject.
  8. Is this a "well he's a senior so he should get it pick." Here are some end of district stats I have found. Johnson season pass 1665 yds 17 td rush 624 yds 9 td district pass 1211 yds 13 td rush 394 yds 7 td total 2289 yds 26 td Rhodes season rush 1529 yds 19 td rec. 259 yds 5 td district rush 1117 yds 14 td rec. 220 yds 5 td total 1788 yds 24 td Garrett season rush 1021 yds 18 td rec 152 yds 2 td district rush 894 yds 18 td rec 118 yds 2 td total 1173 yds 20 td 20 plus TD for all three players, not bad. All three played on defense as well. By having over 500 more total yards and two more TD, Silsbee Johnson has had a better offensive year. Now, remember all of them played defense, so Rhodes would have to have a super year on defense. I just don't think he had a good enough year on defense, are returning punt and kickoffs. Don't get me wrong, I am not bad mouthing any player, never would I do that. But we can post till our fingers turn blue, it's all in the coaches hands. Me, well I'll have to go with Johnson. He's just a Soph.
  9. As it was said in an earler post this is not a all playoff team. I can see where people would want to add playoffs here. Yes, classification does have something to do with the MVP. Playing QB is the hardest position to play. Ask any coach, in any league, they'll tell you. Now lets see here, who does the most for his team and who stands out the most in the district. We have here a Soph. coming in and having to learn a new offense, play on Friday nights, and just like any QB get blamed for the loss and be the hero for the win. This player put up the best numbers in the district. Oh and he even played on defense as well. When it comes to MVP, everything has to do with it.
  10. Are you kidding me? rhodes or garrett over Johnson. These guys are seniors, been doing it for a few years. Johnson is a Soph. and a QB at that. Had more passing yards than anyone in district, more passing TD than anyone in district. With over a 54% completion, did I mention he is a Soph. Now, you add in his rushing yards and rushing TDs and he had a awesome year. He's just a Soph. Now for a RB to take that away, well he would have to have a 2000 plus yard season. If you add Johnsons yards I believe he had that 2000 plus yard season. No, I think a lot more people disagree with you on this one. Like the post said, this is all district, not all play-offs. Oh and one more thing I'm not your b-r-o-t-h-a.
  11. 21-AAA MVP- J. Johnson QB/Silsbee Nobody had more total yards or total TD than the soph. from Silsbee. Offense MVP- P. Rhodes RB/Kribyville It was said on here before the season "best RB in 21-AAA" most rushing yards and rushing TD Newcomer- O. Hypolite QB/WO-S Took over after you-know-who left and remained perfect. More to come!!!!!
  12. It is Silsbee oh-bright-morning-star. You really don't need to worry about Silsbee, your hands will be full worring about Kirbyville.
  13. Man I was hoping that Silsbee would win the tie breaker. lol This will be another year that goes down to the wire. Go Tigers!!!
  14. I believe J. Johnson had two passing TD's.
  15. I do not know the players coming from Philly. This is why I like the trade. Berkman will stay at 1B, he is a good outfielder but he is one of the better 1B in the league and for him to get better he needs to stay there. If there is one person on this team that you need to be hot all season it is Berkman. He is the one that carries the offense. If Bourn is the CF and Pence movies over to RF with Lee in LF this is looking like a very good outfield. If Bourn has the speed then he can make the RF & LF more agresive. I seen Lee get more agresive when he seen that Pence would be there to back him up. The infield has a little question mark on it. We all know that Berkman will man 1B and Burk will take over 2B. Burk is a good 2B he and Berkman will be a good tandum on that side. Burk has some power at the plate but will he be a cluch hitter like the man that just left. Whigiton at 3B. Is it his? Are the Astros going to have to go into spring training wondering about 3B & SS? I would like to see him there. Just needs more power at the plate. And now for SS. This is a need for us. Lets see and defense player like Everett that can hit .300 or above maybe have a little power also, that should do it. Catcher now this is intrasting. Ausmus wants to stay and catch evey fourth or fifth game, now the guy that moved up at the end of the year didn't do a bad job. Is this how we go? Ausmus teaching that guy. Mite not be to bad. Pitching i'm not even going to go there. I'll just say this I like our #1 starter. I guess Geary will replace Qualls(spelling) in the rotation when he moves to the closer spot. Costanzo well time will tell. With the money we saved with Lidge being gone we need to go out and get a QUILITY starting pitcher. This is JMO. What do ya'll think.
  16. Man Silsbee and H-J in the top ten. Silsbee still has players in football uniforms so we won't stay up there long. H-J on the other hand, not that's a different story.
  17. Updates, updates got to give us some updates!!!!
  18. J. Johnson Silsbee QB, leading 21-3A in yards from schrimage and TDs. He is just a Soph. Oh and he is also leading the GT in yards from schrimage.
  19. You got one projection wrong. Silsbee will be playing Splendora not Jasper. Just tought I would tell you so you could get it right.
  20. Look at these stats: Passing Player School Comp Att Pct Yds TD Int Rush Att TD Total Yds Total TD J. Johnson Silsbee 79 153 51.6 1406 15 8 546 91 7 1952 22 H. I only picked the players from the GT. Not trying to make any one look good or bad. Not bad numbers by these players, and still one game to go.
  21. The best celabration is looking back at the defense while you are trotting in the end zone to the offical to give him the ball, making him bring his hands down that are up signaling a TD. Can't get no better than that.
  22. Well we are counting on yall to beat HF, But if you cant then I guess 16 will do. lol. Go Tigers!!!
  23. This is great. The longest standing rivalry in Southeast Texas Silsbee/Jasper to decide a playoff spot. How it sweet it is. I say Silsbee by 16. Then a coin flip. ;D LOL. Really I don't care if we win by one. Go Tigers!!!
  24. What a hard fought game. Maybe the best game played all year. Both teams new what was a stake, and they played like it. Congrets to Kirbyville on a good win. I really liked that #32, really good RB. To me the only one that really stood out for Kirbyville. Going to be a great one. Rhodes and Hazelwood had there moments but #32 toted to load. The young back field and recevers for Silsbee look really good also. Just a super game to watch. On the players and coaches part all did a good job. Now for the Refs. not to good. I could count two to three times that the refs could have called pass interferance on Silsbee they where really close but I have seen it call for less. On a kick off when Silsbee recovered the ball some how it went back to Kirbyville. On the long TD run by Johnson, not a ref was there to see what happen. On the other long TD run a so called block in the back, another bad call. While the player played a good game I for just once would like to have some good refs at a Silsbee/Kirbyville game. Good luck to Kirbyville next week. For Silsbee its Jasper next week and then on to the play-offs. Go Tigers!!!
  25. Silsbee lost in three games to Columbus 25-15 25-15 25-15. I was told Columbus was a very, very good team.
