  1. Silsbee never had a big lead in that game. Silsbee is the team that made a come back that fell just short losing by 3 points.
  2. Some of them are not Tiger fans. Thing is you got teams that run the slot-T then you got the master at running the spot-T in Matthews. Vidor boys have been dreaming of running it since flag football and have been running it since JR. High. So unless there’s been move-ins playing in the backfield Vidor going to be ready. This has always been a good physical game and should be again. I won’t predict a score but as long as we win by one, we won. TigerNation!!!
  3. I know it has been moved, I can still give updates.
  4. Hate the game is getting moved, but mother nature rules. I want to see Silsbee come out and play like we did last year against Vidor, all except the last six minutes of the game. Looking forward to a good game and as always picking Silsbee to win, yes a homer pick. TigerNation!!!
  5. Turf is down from end zone to end zone. All that's left is the side lines and emblems. Getting close. TigerNation!!!
  6. It was right on schedule, until this rain decided to come down.
  7. Silsbee v Orangefield Controlled scrimmage-Silsbee 1TD, rush 11-86 (7.82 ypr), pass 5-10-73-1-0, penalties 3-25; Orangefield 0TD, rush 16-86 (5.37 ypr), pass 2-3-30-0-0, 1 turnover, penalties 1-5 Live scrimmage - Silsbee 2TD 14points, rush 17-124 TD (7.47 ypr), pass 3-8-42-1-0, 1 turnover, penalties 2-10; Orangefield 1TD 6points, rush 23-127 (5.52 ypr), 0-3-0-0, penalties 3-15 A good physical scrimmage for both teams. Orangefield has some nice size lads on both sides of the ball and some scrappy RBs that don't quit. Both teams had some long runs and both teams showed they could grind it down the field. Silsbee defense had two goal line stands, one ended in a fumble and one in a missed FG. Silsbee's offense was more consistent this scrimmage, blocking and running. Good luck to both teams this season. TigerNation!!!
  8. Silsbee v Livingston Scrimmage In controlled scrimmage, Silsbee scored 2 TD, ran 8-43 (5.3ypc), pass 5-7-120-2-0, 6 first downs; Livingston scored 0 TD, ran 11-19 (1.7ypc) pass 1-4-7-0-1, 1 first down. In one live quarter, Silsbee scored 1 TD, ran 9-15 (1.6ypc), pass 4-9-124-1-0, 4 first downs, penalties 2-15; Livingston scored 0 TD, ran 5-(-3) lost fumble, pass 2-4-11-0-0, 2 punts, 0 first downs, penalties 3-29. This was a good early scrimmage to evaluate the players. Being the first scrimmage, the defense had an edge on the offense, and you could tell as both teams' defense had several tackles for loss. Silsbee offense was a little inconsistent, running the ball and passing. But as I said first scrimmage blues. Silsbee's defense controlled the line of scrimmage and smothered their receivers. Silsbee's kicking game wasn't bad, only missed one FG I believe. Can't wait to see how much Coach Smith and his crew improves this team for the second scrimmage. TigerNation!!!
  9. The goal post have been put back up. Getting close now!!!
  10. Do you know the games you speak of?
  11. Isn’t that with any team?
  12. I’m guessing that’s why it’s called preseason rankings. I’m guessing they base it on what you have coming back, positions you have coming back, what you did last year, and so on. I’ve never put to much stock in a number in front of our name in preseason. Like cardinalbacker says where’s the proof you belong there, but then again if there’s nothing to argue about then some people will dry up and blow away. It’s nice to know Silsbee lives rent free in cardinalbackers head.
  13. Good season Orangefield, you got something good going on over there with y’all’s coach. Good luck in 3A.
  14. Yelp!!! Silsbee hasn’t won a playoff game since 2017.
  15. Congrats on the win Vidor. Silsbee made it to easy for Vidor. You can’t go through the motions and then decide to show up at the end of the game. Teams are to good in this district to play like that. Well, the playoffs are here, can this Silsbee team put a run together? From top to bottom this team needs to show up. Good luck Tigers. TigerNation!!!
