  1. So, the local Beaumont Little Leagues and the SETX select baseball teams? The thing about baseball is if you want to get better at it, your going to have to work all the time. It's not basketball or football, baseball is all the time sport. If you are willing to dedicate the amount of time to getting better.
  2. A friend of mine would like to know what schools have baseball in lower grades? If that is what your calling feeder schools?
  3. Scenarios for seeding in 22-4A as of 2/25 Orangefield, Silsbee and LCM are in. Orangefield is the only team that can be solo district champs. There can be co-champs. A Orangefield win and they are district champs; Silsbee needs to win out and a OF loss for co-champs or a Silsbee win over LCM and they are the #2 seed or LCM to lose out for #2 seed or a loss to LCM and a win over Vidor and a LCM loss to BC for a tie for #2 seed LCM needs to win out and a OF loss for co-champs or LCM needs to win out for the #2 seed or LCM needs to win out and a Silsbee win over Vidor for a tie for #2 seed; BC needs to win out and have ether Silsbee or LCM lose out for a tie for #3 seed or BC needs to win out for #4 seed; Lumberton needs to win and have BC lose out for #4 seed or have a Lumberton win and BC lose one of two games for a tie for #4 seed; Vidor needs to win out and have Lumberton lose and BC to lose out for a three way tie for #4 seed; WOS has been eliminated from playoffs. If y'all can think of any other scenarios let us know.
  4. Thru 4/24 Orangefield 9-2 Vidor, Open Silsbee 7-3 LCM, at Vidor LCM 7-3 at Silsbee, BC Bridge City 5-5 WOS, at LCM Lumberton 5-6 B. United, at WOS Vidor 3-7 at OF, Silsbee WOS 0-10 at BC, Lumberton What a wacky Saturday in 22-4A Orangefield slipped a little in their quest for the district championship, Silsbee had to go into extra innings to get a sloppy win and hopes of a share of the championship, LCM hangs on to a shot at a share of the championship, BC took a hit on securing a playoff spot, Lumberton hanging on for dear life for the last playoff spot, Vidor sat back and kept an eye on the district on this crazy day, WOS did everything it could to play spoiler but couldn’t finish. It’s the last week in District 22-4A, better hang on it’s going to be a bumpy landing.
  5. I heard LCM won 1-0. Can someone conform the score.
  6. Final Silsbee 5 WOS 3 9 innings
  7. Thru 4/21 Friday Opponent Orangefield 9-1 at LCM Silsbee 6-3 at WOS LCM 6-3 OF Bridge City 5-4 at Lumberton Lumberton 4-6 BC Vidor 3-7 at PNG WOS 0-9 Silsbee Orangefield has at least a district co-champ and with a win will be district champs. Silsbee with a win will have a playoff spot and still a shot at a district co-champ with a OF loss. LCM with a win will have a playoff spot. BC with a win will have a playoff spot. Lumberton with a win still has slim playoff hopes. Vidor still has a shot, yes, it is mathematically possible. WOS is playing the spoiler.
  8. Final Lumberton 100 000 0 1 1 1 Silsbee 000 300 - 3 6 0 WP: L. Simmons CG Great game tonight at the Tiger Diamond. We saw some great pitching, great defense and timely hitting because the pitchers weren't giving nothing up. Young for Lumberton was on tonight going 5 1/3 inning giving up three runs, zero earned while striking out four with two walks. Silsbee's pitcher, Simmons, threw a complete game striking out nine giving up four walks and only one hit, even when he lost focus he was still on. Both defenses played lights out. Silsbee was able to get the timely hits to get the win. Way to stop a two game skid Tigers. TigerNation!!!
  9. It is what it is. It didn't matter if there where eight hits or five hits, you give up twelve walks and three errors your chances of winning is not very good. Silsbee let the elements hinder them and BC didn't, it was like BC was playing with a nice new ball and Silsbee was playing with a wiped off wet ball, but hey in this district if you lose focus in any game bad things can happen in a hurry. Congrats to BC on the win and Silsbee lesson learned. It's going to be a mad dash for the playoffs in this district.
  10. OF clinches a playoff spot with one more win or a BC loss. I suspect OF clinches next Tuesday.
  11. Thru 4-17 Next Week Orangefield 8-1 WOS, at LCM Silsbee 5-3 Lumberton, at WOS LCM 5-3 at Vidor, OF BC 5-4 HF, at Lumberton Lumberton 4-5 at Silsbee, BC Vidor 3-6 LCM, at PNG WOS 0-8 at OF, Silsbee Orangefield is separating themselves from the rest of the district, Silsbee has lost two in a row and moved out of first place into second, LCM is hanging on with every breath they take in a tie for second, BC holding onto the fourth spot but making some noise, Lumberton one game out of a playoff spot, Vidor needs to find a way to get consistent and right the ship, WOS has been eliminated from playoffs.
  12. 12 walks issued by Silsbee pitchers. Hard to over come that plus the three errors, not going to win many games like that.
  13. Final Silsbee 000 130 0 4 8 3 Bridge City 300 035 - 11 5 2 WP: S. Foreman
  14. We saw the district leaders go head to head and OF edging Silsbee in extras, a pair of second place teams going into extra innings and LCM edging Lumberton, and BC starting to find their grove in district beating Vidor. Big time important games next week. Don't blink on 22-4A

  18. After the first half of district play, thru 4/7 Friday Silsbee 5-1 Orangefield Orangefield 5-1 at Silsbee Lumberton 3-3 LCM LCM 3-3 at Lumberton Bridge City 3-3 Vidor Vidor 2-4 at BC WOS 0-6 Open Would you look at these match ups to open the second half of district play. The league leader and second place going at it Silsbee v Orangefield, two teams tied for second Lumberton v LCM, two teams going in opposite directions BC v Vidor. This district is so close things change in a hurry. None stop action in 22-4A.
  19. Final Vidor 000 000 5 5 7 2 Silsbee 110 220 - 6 8 1 WP: C. Partain SV: L. Simmons
  20. Thru 4/4 Next Week Orangefield 5-1 Open, at Silsbee Silsbee 4-1 Vidor, Orangefield LCM 3-2 at BC, at Lumberton Vidor 2-3 at Silsbee, at BC Lumberton 2-3 WOS, LCM Bridge City 2-3 LCM, Vidor WOS 0-5 at Lumberton, Open Orangefield has won five games in a row after losing their first district game, Silsbee has won their last two games by ten run rule after first district loss, LCM has lost their last two game after winning their first three district games, Vidor and Lumberton have been inconsistent in district, BC has won their last two district games after losing their first three district games all in extra innings, WOS can not find a foot hold in district just yet. One more game left in the first round, better hold on tight it's going to be a bumpy ride in district 22-4A.
  21. Silsbee 006 000 6 12 11 1 LC-M 000 100 0 1 3 3 WP: L. Simmons
