So, y'all feeling all nice and comfy after beating some 3A teams with a combined record of 4-7. Your loss is to a 4A school that has beaten a winless Christian school and two 3A teams. Not to mention y'all have never beaten Silsbee. Now, Silsbee coming in with a losing record, having two last minute losses to bigger schools and a win over a power house 4A school, that maybe down this year, still a tradition rich team. Y'all still feeling all worm and fuzzy? Consider this, Silsbee has already seen y'alls offense, having played two teams that run it as good as or better than y'all can. Y'alls loss is to a team whos offense isn't as good as ours and they put 31 points on y'all. But you know thats why you play the game. Hey, it's y'alls homecoming and what better time to get y'alls first win over Silsbee. Me, I'm going with the homer pick, Silsbee. TigerNation!!!

PG may be down, but make no mistake this football program has made it to the state championship game several times in the recent past. I'm pulling for Silsbee to win, but I don't know about the easy part. PG is deep tradition and after two blow out losses will be looking to right the ship. After two heart breaking losses Silsbee needs to not lose focus in the fourth quarter and close games out. TigerNation!!!

LOL!!! Guilty conscience, I never mentioned nederland or png. 😉but since you brought them up. For nederland and png to get that many game they have to played twice a year several times, Silsbee and Jasper only did that once. The Silsbee, Jasper rivalry is so intense that it has been stopped a couple of times to let things cool down. Like I said, this aint no neighborhood playground. I agree, both are very nice historical rivalries.

Silsbee was down so many players, mostly linemen, that it really didn't matter how long we had the ball on offense. Not only did we get wore down we didn't have the players to give them a break. The offensive lineman would basically turn around and play defense. Should get some relief back this week, but not all.

The oldest rivalry in SETX, Silsbee v Jasper. This ain’t no friendly next door neighbor, across the railroad track game. You want to play in this game you better tighten your chin strap a bit little more.

It was not a fumble. With Silsbee up Two minutes left in the game our RB slipped on the three yard line to put the game out of reach. Carthage won the game with a Hail Mary into the back corner of the end zone with 18 seconds left win the game.

Hey BH, Carthage is off on Week 3 and Week 4.

I told y'all earlier, the only advantage Crosby had was it was the first game of the year for Carthage. Carthage gives Crosby five turnovers in the first half and Crosby could only manage a ten point lead at halftime. Crosby gets ten points off of turnovers and a TD on one play in the first half. Just a shame for Crosby the second half had to be played, it was totally dominated by Carthage. Good luck to both teams, expect big things from both teams. Hope Crosby QB will be ok.
