The Tigers and Mustangs have turned it up a notch in the playoffs. Silsbee has played a third seed, fourth seed and a district champion averaging 44.0 points per game and giving up 13.3 points per game. WOS has played a fourth seed, third seed and a second seed averaging 40.6 points per game and giving up 11.6 points per game. As always in a Tiger/Mustang game it will come down to turnovers and special teams. That is how the Mustangs beat the Tigers in the first game this year, having three takeaways and playing field position in the punting game. The two best 4A teams in the Golden Tringle will battle it out at Beaumont ISD Memorial Stadium for the right to play in the state semi-final game. Yes, I going to be a homer and say Silsbee will win. If not I'll be pulling for WOS to take up the torch and carry on. TigerNation!!!

No matter how watered down the UIL make the playoffs, bottom line is you have to win and if you win you get a trophy. You are the champion of that round. Also, if you win that round and get a trophy the big deal is you get to go to the next round. I see no participation trophy for the losing team.

For the second year in a row a depleted and injured riddled Silsbee Tiger team beat a good HF Longhorn team to win the last game of the season and keep the momentum headed into the playoffs. For the second year in a row the Tigers had to hang on for dear life to win the game. The Tigers get a much need bye week to get ready for the playoff and the Longhorns play for at least a piece of the district championship or the #3 seed for the playoffs. Long live Friday Night Lights!

One would think it would have been shown on senior night.

I don’t think nether team is as good this year as last year. HF trying to stay on pace for a DC and Silsbee trying to win out and take that momentum into the playoffs. Silsbee has faced duel threat QBs this year but non as athletic as the HF QB. I know Silsbee is banged up pretty good on both sides of the ball, so it’s time to see how much depth we have going into the playoffs. Silsbee has been road warriors this year and no sense in stopping now.

Is it still half time???
-
Did we miss an extra point?
-
Who scored?
-
You got to have all three of them at RB because they start in the secondary, we can’t even get a full game out of Martin. And there isn’t much difference in WR, them other WRs do get open every game.
-
You don’t take your best RB and put him at WR. You already have several WR that constantly gets open. We already have Martin running a few routes.
-
Your kidding right? He didn't play against PNG, Newton or Nederland last year because he was on JV. Played very little against BC and Lumberton and got significant playing time against Springhill. That's two hugely different set of teams. How can you compare the first three teams with the second three. That's why there was a difference in our offense and that is the Coincidence.
