I said during the pregame broadcast the two things I wanted to see for my Tigers (1) was for the defense to step up, the Dline to cause havic and the secondary to start making plays. (2) Foster, to take command not just be a leader but command and I saw a little of that last night. Last year he was along for the ride, this year he needs to drive the bus. The long passes are nice, just throw it up and let the WR run go get it, but slants, out routs, come backs. I see the coaches are working them into the game plan and Foster is making the throws. Touch passes to the RBs and a little zip on the slants that's what I've been waited for, for Foster to get the chance to get it all together. Nice job last night Foster. The defense gave up some yards last night but was able to stop the Bulldogs in the red zone. Two INT and two sacks and several tackles for loss. I can tell you right now, we miss Tarver, badly, very badly. Would love to have him in the LB rotation and at FB finishing off blocks and running the ball and coming out of the backfield on passes. The guy was a machine. I seen some players been moved around and more in the rotation. Work on TACKLING twice as hard, trust me it makes a difference. I did see the Tigers start to loose some gas in the middle of the fourth quarter when Big Ned got the game within two points, but the fumble recovery after the punt energized us and we finished the game and got the dub. It was a nice BIG win for us last night, now we got to build off of it and not have a let down in the following weeks. TigerNation!!!

If only a&m could win......something...….
-
Yep, That dropped TD in the first quarter for Texas was monumental!!!
-
Whoever wins just beat a very good team
-
With time running down in the game, that dropped TD pass in the first quarter for Texas is getting HUGE!!!
-
I think you can take that DBU and put it in your back pocket for both of these teams. Both secondary's are getting torched!!!
-
How big is that dropped TD pass in the first quarter by Ingram.

If y'all where still playing football I must have not been talking about y'all.

Silsbee got made fun of last year after two games and look what happened. While we kelp winning in the playoffs y'all where packing your cleats and playing basketball or trying to play basketball. Is this the start we wanted? Heck no, not in the least. It is what it is. Now, just like last year, we have to find a way. The heart of the team graduated last year, that was an exceptional group. It's y'alls time now, y'alls time to find a way, to find that heart. Just one game at a time, one practice at a time. We'll get there. TigerNation!!!

High school football player head buts ref...
STiger85 replied to prepballfan's topic in High School Football
So, after reading some articles about this game, the player that head butted the official throat punched a player from the other team on the play before and received a personal foul. Then he preceded to argue with said official finally head butting him then going after another official. Both teams where warned after the first quarter that the game would be called tight because of the high number of personal foul penalties. The blue team is on probation for football and basketball for actions like these. The game was about half way through the second quarter and the officials called the game because of it getting out of hand. -
Congrats PNG on a hard fought win. This was a good game to watch, PNG just had fresher leg in the end. Both offenses showed they could strike fast and grind it out, both defenses showed they can make the offense work for a yard but also need work to get off the field. The difference in this game was turnovers and penalties. At half time both were the same and the end of the game it was one sided. This was just a hard hitting, tough game that both teams can learn off of. Good luck the rest of the year PNG. TigerNation!!!

Now a 8:15 start

Game time has been moved to 8:00

It looks like both teams will have some key starters out. I know Silsbee will have a total of four starters out and a couple more that are probably/questionably going to play.
-
BC going back to the spread?
-
If this is true it is a huge blow on both offense and defense. HUGE BLOW!!!
-
Silsbee has plenty of athletes that will step up at the receiver position this year. Just like last year, not one receiver this year started last year and I think that group turned out pretty good so I like our chances. Again, let them get some game experience and don't judge them on the first couple or three games.

Why yes, yes I do have the stats! I will not put them on here, but will message them to you if you like. Then all I want you to do is type on here "STiger85 was right". Yes I remember the games, the whole games. I know both starting QBs having to do what they could to survive. We only gave up two INTs in the first two games, one game a piece, both going for TDs. The INT in the Newton game, if I remember right, was tipped and intercepted. The receiver was open. Like I said if I remember right. Just so you know there is no angle here. I am a Silsbee Tiger through and through and bleed maroon & white. I will not sugar coat things about the Tigers, I see no since in it as people on here will find about it. As I have stated on here already, Foster is the QB, he has the time, the experience and he has earned it, your preaching to the choir. I just can't wait to see that next step.
