  1. Just a few quick stats: Silsbee Hardin Jefferson Passing R. Foster 4-4-130-2-0 #6 4-8-78-0-0 Rushing D. Taylor 20-241 3TD #6 22-157 3TD A. Arline 7-69 2TD #1 15-37 C. 2. Is it still half time???
  3. Did we miss an extra point?
  4. You got to have all three of them at RB because they start in the secondary, we can’t even get a full game out of Martin. And there isn’t much difference in WR, them other WRs do get open every game.
  5. You don’t take your best RB and put him at WR. You already have several WR that constantly gets open. We already have Martin running a few routes.
  6. Your kidding right? He didn't play against PNG, Newton or Nederland last year because he was on JV. Played very little against BC and Lumberton and got significant playing time against Springhill. That's two hugely different set of teams. How can you compare the first three teams with the second three. That's why there was a difference in our offense and that is the Coincidence.
  7. And the way I see it....last year in this game Foster was starting for the second time and the first time in a WOS game. This year was his fifteenth start and third time to see WOS. He has the experience to be more consistent.
  8. This team has not been able to get into a football game rhythm all year because of missed games. Advantage Bye week. lol
  9. I remember y'all last year. Look at yourself in the mirror...….
  10. Man, you just need to get off.
  11. You know his numbers! This was the third time he has faced the "ALWAYS best defensive team on Silsbee's schedule" and it didn't look like he ever faced them one time. He was not even close on his passes until the last drives. Like I have said before I've seen him better, last night we needed better.
  12. Your right he was on a team that went farthest into the playoff in history. Thing is he had receivers last year that would go up and get the ball on contested throws. This was a game for Foster to show that he did lead Silsbee further that any team in history and he didn't. I've seen Foster be better, he needs to get there and stay there.
  13. After fifteen starts you'd expect a better performance from your QB. You'd thought after all those high pressure playoff games he would have been able to preform in a high pressure games. In a game we needed our QB to step up and be better he did not. Silsbee secondary did better, we move some people around and looked better. Silsbee out played WOS in the first half even without completing a pass, even the WOS people in the press box commented on how Silsbee was dominating in the trenches. In the second half because of the lack of passing WOS was able to gamble and send extra defenders to stop Silsbee run game. But that's WOS, you have to match their intensity all game and double it in the fourth quarter. Now we need to have our QB step up, we can not afford any ho-hum performances from him, from anybody. I've seen better from our QB, I know he is better. Regroup, learn and execute. TigerNation!!!
  14. Holding WOS run attack to only 87 yards and 2.3 yards per carry is what everybody in the football universe calls stopping the run. That is like 200 yards under WOS season average.
  15. Just a few quick stats; Silsbee WOS Passing R. Foster 4-18-52-0-3 J. Terrell 11-20-144-1-0 Rushing D. Taylor 13-83 TD E. Gales 12-55 C. Martin 10-41 J. Chaney 8-31 TD A. Arline 9-28 J. Terrell 13-(-7) R. Foster 3-(-3) Receiving C. Martin 1-21 J. Zeigler 5-63 TD K. Cartwright 1-16 E. Gales 1-26 R. Hatton 1-8 A. Thomas 1-20 D. Taylor 1-7 C. Crawford 1-10
  16. So, your basing Silsbee run defense on one game. Good.
  17. Yeah, Coach T is way off on his assessment. Must be propaganda article for the Mustangs. Both teams love to run the ball, Mustangs pass a little more than the Tigers. Both defense are built to stop the run and both secondary are not where they would like to be. As always special teams will be huge and ball security will be crucial. Penalties will play a part and the timing of the penalties. If the Tigers can match the intensity the Mustangs bring I can see a good game here. The Tigers are young, not many players from last years state semi final run. A lot of first time players on varsity, a lot of first time starters playing on varsity for the Tigers.
  18. And you still made that statement??
  19. You really have no idea!
  20. Just a few quick stats Silsbee Springhill Passing R. Foster 8-9-77-1-0 G. White 20-35-425-6-0 Rushing D. Taylor 11-145 TD D. Powers 5-5 C. Martin 12-75 TD M. Marrs 3-10 A. Arline 8-69 TD Receiving D. Colvin 2-25 J. Rockwell 7-151 3TD C. Martin 3-14 T. Jones 6-145 TD K. Cartwright 1-16 TD E. Marrow 4-53 TD A. Arline 1-16 D. Powers 1-73 TD Q. Kelly Jr. 1-6
  21. The Springhill coach said in a interview yesterday that he didn't think they would have any success running the ball on Silsbee so he was going to try and pass the ball.
