  1. Broadcast will start at 7:30
  2. Game time has been moved to 8:00
  3. It looks like both teams will have some key starters out. I know Silsbee will have a total of four starters out and a couple more that are probably/questionably going to play.
  4. BC going back to the spread?
  5. If this is true it is a huge blow on both offense and defense. HUGE BLOW!!!
  6. Silsbee has plenty of athletes that will step up at the receiver position this year. Just like last year, not one receiver this year started last year and I think that group turned out pretty good so I like our chances. Again, let them get some game experience and don't judge them on the first couple or three games.
  7. Why yes, yes I do have the stats! I will not put them on here, but will message them to you if you like. Then all I want you to do is type on here "STiger85 was right". Yes I remember the games, the whole games. I know both starting QBs having to do what they could to survive. We only gave up two INTs in the first two games, one game a piece, both going for TDs. The INT in the Newton game, if I remember right, was tipped and intercepted. The receiver was open. Like I said if I remember right. Just so you know there is no angle here. I am a Silsbee Tiger through and through and bleed maroon & white. I will not sugar coat things about the Tigers, I see no since in it as people on here will find about it. As I have stated on here already, Foster is the QB, he has the time, the experience and he has earned it, your preaching to the choir. I just can't wait to see that next step.
  8. Actually, It was having to make decisions while running for your life, in both games. Why would you even think about running a kid down in situations like those first two games, two first games against highly rank teams with great football tradition in highly hostel environment, I'm sure there was some errors. That hot shot RB was the scheduled starting QB in rotation, not someone that they "had to bring in" and no he didn't do a decent job. I declare Soulja, what where you watching? Do you remember the first time Foster started against a ranked team with great football tradition in a highly hostel environment? Yeah, he made some "questionable errors" also. It's something that happens in that type of environment. Foster had the chance and opportunity to get more experience and he took advantage of it. Like I said Foster should be the starter and I'm looking forward to seeing him take that next step. Because this years team will need a better QB than we had last year and with a year of experience under his belt everybody will be looking for it. TigerNation!!
  9. Let's go a little bit further and say the production of the first three games from last year. Now, game one was against the 5A #15 PNG Indians and a top QB in the nation, game two was against the #1 3A team in the nation Newton Eagles and their barrage of D1 players and game three was against the 5A #20 Nederland Bulldogs, that went down to the wire. I ask you who on our schedule was better than the first three teams? NOBODY! So, comparing the production in the first three game against the last twelve is irrelevant. Also, Johnson was not the starting QB last year, the QB position was a platoon project and it wasn't working. Johnson was just the better QB last year. As good as Briscoe is, Foster has the experience of starting in ten games last year, playing in twelve games and like the man said a betting man would roll with experience. From what I seen in practice and the two scrimmages, I think Briscoe has done a little better, but maybe not enough. Do I think Briscoe should start over Foster, No. Foster has game time and that means a lot. Lets see Foster's production against these first three team that are not as good a last year. I expect to see Foster take that next step. TigerNation!!! P.S. First pass of the season last year was a Johnson to Turk 75 yard TD.
  10. Just a few stats from the scrimmage. I'm not clamming these stats are 100% accurate, I pulled them off the scrimmage film. There was a scrimmage and a game simulation scrimmage. Both teams had the ball twice in the scrimmage and three times in the game simulation. Brownsboro Silsbee Total yds 135 378 Passing yds 27 129 Rushing yds 108 249 Passing 2-7-27-0-0 5-9-129-2-1 Rushing 22-108 TD 19-249 3TD Turnovers 0 3
  11. Both scrimmages were against run heavy teams and the Tigers defense did do a good job of stopping it. Now, PNG is a very balanced team and will test our Tigers secondary. Oh, the smell of fresh cut grass and the roar of the crowd.
  12. Not one hundred percent sure but I think Silsbee scored five touchdowns and Brownsboro scored one touchdown. Silsbee looked better but still lacking in the passing game. Silsbee has several players hurt and did not play and a couple more got hurt tonight. Ready or not bring on the regular season. TigerNation!!!
  13. I didn’t see amazing today. I seen a team working their butts off, working to get things right. I seen coach’s looking for players to step up and fill the spots left to graduation. I think the defense will take several weeks to find that right combination before they take off. I seen an offense with confidence. I seen a team wanting to take that next step and working hard to take it. TigerNation!!!
  14. Can't wait to see how much this young man improved over the summer. He was put in a predicament he wasn't ready for last year, but he rose up to the challenge each week and you could see the improvement. I'll be at practice tomorrow checking things out, getting ready for broadcasting Silsbee Tiger Football. TigerNation!!!
  15. So your saying some WOS fans will blame the rain for not preforming?
  16. What I heard was the scoreboard was reading Mustangs-14 Silsbee-20 and that each day they reset the scoreboard to read Mustangs-51 Silsbee-2 and each morning when they would come back to put the scoreboard up it would again be reading Mustangs-14 Silsbee-20 and it would take them all day just to figure out how to reset it.
  17. So, you put more parameters on answered questions. More on point, do any D1 quarterback have to start on Sundays and win a Superbowl before "you" think they are a developed QB? How much more does a football fan need than a QB starting multiple games in multiple seasons at a big Power 5 type school to show he has developed? I think each Head Coach all across America develops their QBs to their system. Now, I'll have to agree with you that some schools provide very little help in developing a QB and hope the QB can get it on his own.

  19. Actually, the WOS archives are kelp updated, so the only problem is taking the time to do it yourself. But WOSgrad to the rescue.
  20. You can go to the archives thread and figure it out, that’s what it there for. One thing for sure WOS has way more than one district loss.
