Silsbee vs Longview Springhill (Silsbee Homecoming)
STiger85 replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Football
Spring Hill has two wins over two no win teams. They lost to a good Malakoff team last week 19-9. The Tigers are looking for their first home win of the season and what better way to get it on homecoming night. -
Silsbee vs Longview Springhill (Silsbee Homecoming)

I think this defensive has stepped up in the last two games. We have played better on the Dline, LB and DBs. Now, there is a couple of players that need to go back to tackling school, but the defense is looking better. -
I watched game film several times and did not see a penalty on that play or how can you call a pass interference on a ball that was five yards short of the intended receiver. Now, on the roughing the passer call against Silsbee LB, I can see where the ref can call targeting. Other that, Silsbee and Lumberton earned the flags.

You think so lowly of your team??? Like I said earlier I think the slot-t suites the talent of Lumberton personal. I can see Lumberton making the top two spots, will they? If Lumberton can get better at passing they'll be trouble. FYI, Silsbee has not looked like a top 5 4A team all year, every Tiger fan will tell you that! Also, we where a good team last year when we beat Lumberton and looked how that turned out.

Barely beating slot t boys from Lumberton????

I think you could tell which team played last week and the team that did not. After all that momentum we gained after the Nederland win we had to wait an extra week to compound on it. Any time you can get on the football field is good, no matter who you play. Our offense was nothing to brag about last night, not consistent, good at times, struggled at times, penalties hurt. Thing is we know our offense is better and will get better. Our defense was the difference last night. I think Lumberton's personal is suited for the slot-t. Other than two running plays we kelp the Raiders bottled up. Our front line causing havoc, linebackers making plays and secondary getting INTs. There's still two or three that need to go back to tackling school but all and all the defense is looking better.

That was one he(( of a game. I like how you down play that '16 BC squad. That was quite possibly the top two or three best team BC has ever had. I like how you remember the names of the Tiger players. Oh, by the way we didn't throw the ball very much that year. Yeah, it was an interesting game.

The 27th Village Creek Classic. The Tigers lead 19-7. Last year the Tigers won 35-13
-
You can tell two starters are out in the middle of the Dallas D line
-
10-6 Dallas with just over 6:00 till half.
-
Dallas playing lackadaisical right now, giving Miami some hope
-
If one outside venue gets turf I think you’ll see all outside venues will get turf at the same time.
-
You gotta take the good with the bad when your the QB, but 35 point spread would be a bit much. Maybe a 34 point spread. Lol
-
If it happens it happens. Coach Smith is not one to run the score up on purpose.
-
Dallas ball on the 10
-
Dallas make the deadskins punt on first position
-
Cowboy win toss and elect to kick off
-
OH, them Cowboys gonna put a beat down on them deadskins!!!!
-
I don't think the emphasis on stripping the ball is coming from the coaches.

I said during the pregame broadcast the two things I wanted to see for my Tigers (1) was for the defense to step up, the Dline to cause havic and the secondary to start making plays. (2) Foster, to take command not just be a leader but command and I saw a little of that last night. Last year he was along for the ride, this year he needs to drive the bus. The long passes are nice, just throw it up and let the WR run go get it, but slants, out routs, come backs. I see the coaches are working them into the game plan and Foster is making the throws. Touch passes to the RBs and a little zip on the slants that's what I've been waited for, for Foster to get the chance to get it all together. Nice job last night Foster. The defense gave up some yards last night but was able to stop the Bulldogs in the red zone. Two INT and two sacks and several tackles for loss. I can tell you right now, we miss Tarver, badly, very badly. Would love to have him in the LB rotation and at FB finishing off blocks and running the ball and coming out of the backfield on passes. The guy was a machine. I seen some players been moved around and more in the rotation. Work on TACKLING twice as hard, trust me it makes a difference. I did see the Tigers start to loose some gas in the middle of the fourth quarter when Big Ned got the game within two points, but the fumble recovery after the punt energized us and we finished the game and got the dub. It was a nice BIG win for us last night, now we got to build off of it and not have a let down in the following weeks. TigerNation!!!
