  1. Final Silsbee JV/Fresh 39 Hamshire-Fannet JV 8
  2. Correct, Silsbee could face Sweeny in second round if they win their district. Right now Wharton is leading district 11.
  3. Silsbee leads the series with 7 wins against just 1 loss. Silsbee won the last game played in 2013 by a score of 55-21, HF last and only win came in 2007 by a score of 35-14. HF has had an extra week to prepare for the Tigers. HF is a threat, their QB (1) is what makes their offense go. His quick and slippery along with No. 11 they present a challenge. We will have to score and score often. Our defense has been playing some good ball, gonna have to keep working. Being senior night Silsbee may be a little off focus for about the first quarter but should start settling down by the second quarter and pull away the second half. JMO. TigerNation!!!
  4. This will be Silsbee’s senior night, couple that with a win will guarantee the number two spot in the playoffs and a chance of a district championship. Big game for both teams.
  5. Thing is, with how we rotate players on both sides of the ball very few are left on the side line that don’t get in.
  6. I'm going to have to one up on the game ball for defense. The whole defense for Silsbee should get it. See that kind of offense for the first time The Tiger defense gave up 165 total yards to Liberty and 68 of that was on their first drive of the game. #20 starting his first game at LB stepped up and play good, The pass defense on that third down play was big for the three year starter #22. The defensive rotation was huge, 8 Dline, 4 LB, 5 DB. To many unsung hero's to name but our defense went to work!!
  7. I told a WOS fan after the Silsbee/WOS game that if y'alls QB starts playing that good or better y'all got a good chance at a long playoff run, really long.
  8. This is not good. Cooper has been nursing that ankle all season long, now Sibley hurt also. Big game next week Liberty v WOS.
  9. Overall District District W L W L PF PA WO-S 4 4 2 0 59 35 Silsbee 5 4 2 1 91 52 Liberty 5 2 1 1 45 63 H-F 5 3 1 1 69 51 HJ 2 7 0 3 48 111 Game this week 11/2 Liberty (1-1) at WOS (2-0) H-F (1-1) at Silsbee (2-1) HJ Open
  10. Wrong!! After Liberty s first drive that was it. Liberty did have a nice third drive but ended in a missed FG. After that it was all Silsbee. Don’t matter how much time you keep the ball if you can’t score you lose. It was a hard fought game on both sides and the score indicated how the game went.
  11. Yes you did. Not only did you say Liberty was the toughest Team Silsbee will face this year you said Liberty is the best clock control team Silsbee will face this year. If you don't understand basic writing skills it makes you look dumb. I would hope you can get the point. If you want to put past games out there, Liberty only beat Cleveland by seven points by a score of 7-0 and Cleveland is arguably the worst 5A team in town. I would not consider Silsbee offense as high powered, but thanks for the vote of confidence.
  12. Produces? Yeah, I understand what your saying. Putting up that 1st rounder for a WR, knowing about the failures of the past. When I first heard Cooper's name I was like alright he can help, then I seen the trade. Gees not again. We got WRs for the jump ball, Cooper will run routs and Cooper knows when to run what rout. If he can do that, that will be the difference. Hopefully he gets that separation also. Will he be good enough for the money I don't think well see this year, but next year who knows? Thing is we have been so close to win on the road, maybe Cooper will help get us over the hump. If he can help with that, that would definitely be producing and winning in the NFL is all that matters. We'll see?
  13. I think your putting the focus on the wrong side of the ball for Liberty in this game. Silsbee can score on ether on a five minute drive or a ten second drive, clock management is something Silsbee wants to do in a game not necessarily have to have. As long as Silsbee has one more point than the other team at the end of the game, that's what we want. TigerNation!!!
  14. Yes, Liberty presents a problem for Silsbee. Liberty runs an unorthodox offense. Two TE, two slots on outside of TE, the RB up close to the QB kinda like a sniffer and they LOVE to run between the guards. They will line up in a slot-T every now and then and line up with a WR out wide even less. Silsbee will have to play disciplined gap assignments on defense to slow that offense down. Silsbee offensive will score points on their defense. Big game for both teams!!!
  15. I see Liberty has gotten over two inches of rain over the past couple of days.
  16. Silsbee owns a 23-12-2 record over Liberty. The first meeting was way back in 1940 and the last time these two teams played was in 2005. This will be the 38th meeting between these two teams.
  17. Overall District District W L W L PF PA Liberty 5 1 1 0 38 35 WO-S 3 4 1 0 24 21 H-F 5 3 1 1 69 51 Silsbee 4 4 1 1 63 45 HJ 2 6 0 2 34 76
  18. 26 penalties tonight (14 Silsbee, 12 HJ) nether team could get into the flow of the game. The refs will have to go home and ice down their shoulders. Very nit-picky on the flags tonight. Both teams jaw-jacking back and fourth and the refs where up for the challenge, throwing mutable flags on both teams for running their mouths. The one thing that has hindered Silsbee all year is penalties and fumbles. Late in the year to be loosing focus, two maybe three TD called back for Silsbee for penalties. An ugly win and a W is good. On to the next game.
