  1. Still, starting out 0-2 not good. ‘‘Tis better to face bottom of other district than face top. Works with all districts.
  2. Important game for both teams, both are 0-1 in district and with only two district games after this one a loss will put you on the outside looking in on the playoffs in last place. Only four district games starting out 0-2 will be bad.
  3. Yeah, I had the Astros in six. I don’t think I’ve seen the Astros bats that ineffective. When your playing a team like Boston they don’t need any help with calls going their way, the bad calls hurt us but our bats killed us. Boston ability to hit with two strikes was a difference maker.
  4. Well, I'll keep to my predictions. It's a odd number week and the Cowboys are on the road. Not good. But, this is the most heated rivalry in the NFL so any thing could happen. I'll be pulling for the Cowboys.
  5. Landry's last season was 3-13. Johnson's first season was 1-15. Johnson made the deal of deals and the rest is history.
  6. I would love to see film on this game, just to see how a team can score 87 points??!!!
  7. If your talking about the go routs, yes we did. One was in the end zone that was catchable the ball just bounced off the receivers hands, one was thrown short into double coverage and intercepted, one was thrown into triple coverage and luckily it was close to the sidelines and got knocked out of bounds. That last one, the receiver that was all alone over the middle ran a slant rout. There's always different routs run on pass plays, the QB just has to process it and make good reads.
  8. Congrats to WOS on the win. It was a hard fought game and both teams left it all on the field. A dropped TD pass on our second position and two turnovers. When you have a young QB and he's struggling you got to help him out, that pass in the end zone bounced off the WR hands then one over the middle that was caught but a hard hit jarred it loose, got to hang on to it. The INT pass should have never been thrown there, WR had double coverage, also late in the game our QB threw into triple coverage with a WR wide open over the middle. Got to check the safety! Our QB will watch film and see and learn from it. Just the third game for him starting at QB. Why not go up the middle on WOS, with eight or nine in the box, you try to go out side on them and that's WOS strength their speed on the outside. Never have been able to run outside on WOS. Good luck to both teams from here on out.
  9. More then likely this will be the game that WOS puts it all together. If we take care of us I like our chances. WOS seems to always have a special place in their hearts for us.
  10. Well, it is the even number game for the Cowboys plus they are playing at home.
  11. Orange getting pelted with rain. Looking like another wet field at WOS
  12. It’s my understanding that not only will #23 play RB, but because WOS lost the LB to injury, he will have to play the game at LB also. and he is just getting back from being injured himself.
  13. The O line is blocking just fine. When the other teams don’t have to worry about the pass you better believe they are going to load up the box. We have a JV quarterback trying to make it in a varsity world. Throwing the ball up in the air down the field is not quarterbacking. Don’t pour the anointing oil just yet. BUT get it ready, the more he plays the more experienced he gets and he is calm in the pocket. I see him at practice and he is working hard and you can tell it’s just about to all come together for him. Our O-line is just fine, when our passing game gets going......
  14. When we are the only team in the area that plays WOS on a regular basis and only win four or five games, I can see how the other teams that won’t put WOS on their schedule regularly would say that. Until we start winning some game against them that statement is true.
  15. Silsbee (3-3) v WOS (2-4). Can anyone remember if at any time these two teams played and nether one has a winning record? Common opponents are Nederland, Newton and BC Silsbee WOS 14-21 (L) Nederland 18-19 (L) 48-14 (W) BC 21-0 (W) 14-56 (L) Newton 7-21 (L) Silsbee and WOS had their chances against Nederland.
  16. People need to realize the WOS is a different kind of beast and playing at home. WOS will be like a wounded and cornered beast and the football season just moved unto their territory. WOS has ruled what ever district they have played in for the past eight years, not loosing any district game during that time. This will be a tough game for Silsbee. Both teams struggle at QB. Silsbee needs to get a handle on the penalties and keep from putting the ball on the ground. Silsbee has to take care of us, get better at what we do and let the game take care of itself. We know WOS will be WOS. Silsbee has taken better teams into Dan R. Hooks Stadium and lost. As long as we win by one point and get the W and improve in the process. I think people will see an epic battle. TigerNation!!!
  17. Silsbee comes in after a three hour bus ride and beats Spring Hill on their Homecoming 21-6. A tough, hard fought game. Safe travels home Silsbee. TigerNation!!!
  18. Oh please, don’t flatter yourself. Silsbee had 200+ yards passing and 100+ yards rushing, one player had 100 yards rushing on Lumberton.
