My question is, What restaurant will you be dining at before each game?

From the looks of things it looks like two QBs are getting equal amount of time. Both look good and needing all the reps with the WRs they can get.

Why would you say that? It ain’t like we beat one and not the other. We have the same amount of wins against both teams in the last 20 years.

I understand what your saying, like you seen it first hand. WOS defense would not be able to get off the field in the second half. Carthage would score no matter if it took five plays or fifteen plays.

It's the dog days of summer and a little over a month away until high school football practice starts. So, I decided to start this "what if" conversation about two of the best high school football teams I have seen in recent memory playing each other. The 2017 4A DI undefeated state champs Carthage Bulldogs v. the 2016 4A DII undefeated state champs WOS Mustangs. Each team had the athletes and speed to score from all over the field and defenses that you couldn't go wide on, plugged up the middle and got to the QB if you tried to pass the ball. To me this would be a epic high school football game that would be well worth the price of admission. I think this game would be a little more high scoring in that both offenses puts a ton of pressure on the defenses to stop the run or stop the pass. In the end I think Carthage would come out on top, the Bulldog defense would be able to handle the Mustang run game. Also, with as much speed that WOS had on defense Carthage would ware down the front defense line of WOS and take control late in the game. I see Carthage winning by two touchdowns plus, something like 45-30 Carthage. It's a game that would be fun and entertaining to watch and to see the coaching from the side lines would be epic.

Looked like a good game. Anybody got a roster and what area the teams where from?

If it makes you happy to bring band in. Agree or disagree, annoit him or not the fact is he has the hardware to prove it. For example, wouldn’t one say the WOS has the best football program in SETX, they prove it with the best winning percentage. What about BC Baseball, they prove it by the number of DC. Or Silsbee basketball. No matter how you go about it Kalon has the hardware to prove he has done something the others haven’t.

Athlete-noun-a person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise. That’s pretty straight and narrow. So, how would one go about labeling someone the greatest at something. If that someone won more awards than anybody else wouldn’t that someone be greater than the others.

He’s already been mentioned! He would be in the top part of the group.

I wonder what the “wind speed” was? The Bromell kid ran his 9.99 in the mountains in New Mexico and had an “elevation limit on that run. He’s 23 and has several sub 10 runs in the 100 that where ether wind added or above elevation. It’s that a kicker.

And here we go. I say he started games, you say he didn’t start any games in basketball. You are trying to down play the accomplishment of one to build up another. Fact of the matter is six gold and two silver are better than two gold and two silver. Kalon will be playing football and running track at Baylor.

"JD" two gold metals, two silver metals. Not bad, but he's farther on down the line. As far as Kalon coming off the bench in basketball, Silsbee had 10 maybe 12 starters on our first SC team you really didn't know who coach was going to put on the floor first. Nice try. Next!

I do not know of any other athlete coming out of high school in SETX that is more accomplished than Kalon Barnes. Six gold metals, two silver metals. Anyone else want to step up to the table?

It’s human nature to want to play and work hard to get on a team that is consistently winning DC and making the playoffs, not so much on a team that struggle to have a winning season and hardly makes the playoffs. It takes hard work and a want to attitude to get things turned around.
