  1. So, how long till baseball season starts?
  2. Come on...that can’t be Skip. Could it????
  3. Silsbee 41 Bay City 35 yeah, it alright
  4. Congrats to the Silsbee Tigers Bi-District Champs. Congrats to Coach Smith and his coaching staff on their first playoff win, one of many to come. Now own to the Area round and the Bay City Black Cats, they run an offense similar to that of Center maybe a little better. TigerNation!!!

  6. After watching film on Center this should be one of the more entertaining games of the playoffs. Both teams have played some stiff competition on their schedule and are battle tested for the playoffs. Both teams have receivers that can get open and can run. Both teams have young running backs that have come into their own as the season progressed. Both teams have first year QBs that can pass the ball and don't mind running when their number is called. Also, both teams special teams have several TDs. The key to the game to me (jmo) is Silsbee's defense looks to match up better with Centers offense than Centers defense matches up with Silsbee's offense and Silsbee over all team speed. I'm not saying Center hasn't faced better teams than us because they have. Don't get me wrong, points will be scored as both offenses have proven that they can score at any point on the field. Call me a homer or what you will, say I'm old fashion and over the hill, but my pick is Silsbee in what I think will be a good game 38-28 over Center. As I've said before when these two districts meet up in the playoffs the outcome of the game should not surprise you. TigerNation!!!
  7. District 9 has been a thorn in our side for several years now. Don't think we'll be overlooking anyone. Only way to get to the next round is win this round. When these two districts meet up in the playoffs as many times as we have nothing should surprise you. Hoping for injury free games Friday and good luck to district 10, no telling where we will be next year. TigerNation!!!

  9. Silsbee will go into the playoffs on a four game win streak as Co-Champs and #1 seed. Congrats Tigers. This team and coaching staff had a lot of physical and emotional tragedies to overcome throughout the year. Congrats to the coaching staff for holding this team together and the seniors for leading this team. Good luck in the playoffs Tigers, Nacogdoches won't be able to handle the sea of maroon coming Friday night. TigerNation!!!
  10. Not everyone......the ones that don't win don't get one!
  11. Actually, Brady had a baseball workout/scout day at UT yesterday.
  12. With one game left to play in district here are the playoff scenarios. Silsbee (3-1) v Cleveland: A win a Co-Championship, a win and LCM loss #1 seed, a win and LCM win #2 seed, a loss and LCM win #2 seed, a loss and Navasota win #3 seed. LCM (3-1) v Navasota: A win and Silsbee loss District Championship, a win and Silsbee win Co-Championship #1 seed, a loss and Silsbee loss #2 seed, a loss and Silsbee win #3 seed. Navasota (3-1) v LCM: A win and Silsbee loss District Championship, a win and Silsbee win Co-Champs #2 seed, a loss and Silsbee win #3 seed, a loss and Silsbee loss #3 seed. Bridge City (1-3) v Huffman: A win #4 seed, a loss and out of the playoffs Cleveland (1-3) v Silsbee: A win and Huffman win #4 seed, a loss and out of the playoffs. Huffman (1-3) v Bridge City: A win and Cleveland loss #4 seed, a win and Cleveland win out of the playoffs, a loss and out of the playoffs. A lot of variables for the last week of district play. Hope I got it all correct. Makes the district race much more exciting. Good Luck.
  13. The changes our coaches made after the LCM is looking good. Getting healthy helps also. This team is playing with a hunger and energy we only seen glimpses of earlier in the year. Playing the backups and getting them game time experience in the fourth quarter only helps this team. One game left in district, we got to finish it. A win and we could be co-champs with a first or second seed, a loss and we could be second or third seed. Finish it. TigerNation!!!

  16. The winner of this game could be co champs or champs, all depends on how the Silsbee/Cleveland game goes.
  17. Just think what the basketball, baseball and softball will be in 4A
  18. So this areas 4A DI could look like this; Silsbee Lumberton Ozen Huffman Navasota LCM Bridge City
  19. The Silsbee Tigers (3-4, 2-1) will take to the road again and take on the Hargrave Falcons (3-3, 1-2) in Huffman. The Tigers coming off a blow out win over Bridge City (40-15) and the Falcons coming off their first district win over LCM in overtime (27-20). The Tigers are looking to stay at the top of district and the Falcons are looking to stay in the playoff hunt. Looking for a good game at Falcon Stadium Friday night. TigerNation!!!
