  1. The times of old have gone away, the 2WR 1TE 1FB 1RB offensives sets are few and far between. Now days there are 4WR sets or 2TE sets or 1RB sets. Sometimes you will not see the same offense schemes in the same district. Also, same for the defense sets. You got the 4-3, 3-4, 42, 50 and so on. With so many sets there is around it’s hard to nail down 11 players for All district. I also think the superlatives should be in a spot on their own. If your good enough to get recognized for being above and beyond you should have a spot above everyone else. Now, putting 25 on a team is a mite much. This is how I see it and my opinion.
  2. Ok, tell me again, how many days till baseball season!
  3. So, Central has nobody hurt, no body playing any other sport? A full roster for varsity?
  4. So, Central will have full force of their basketball team that they have available?
  5. Yes, both right. My thinking was off. lol
  6. The Silsbee Tigers will take on an ol' foe, the Carthage Bulldogs, in the Regional round of the playoffs. The Tigers (7-4) are the District 10 Co-Champs and the #1 seed, the Bulldogs are the defending 4A-DI state champions (12-0) are the #1 ranked team in state of Texas in 4A, the District 9 Champs the #1 seed. The game will be played in Lufkin at Abe Martin Stadium Friday at 7:30. This will be the sixth time these two teams have met in the playoffs with Carthage having a 4-1 record over Silsbee. These two teams have two common opponents in Huffman and Center. Carthage beat Center 42-12 and beat Huffman 46-10. Silsbee beat Huffman 61-30 and beat Center 37-17. The last two games have been exciting, in 2015 Carthage pulled away in the fourth quarter winning 56-40 and last year Carthage had to come from behind and score the game winning touchdown with 14 seconds left on the clock to jump start their playoff drive to a state championship. I expect nothing less from this years game. TigerNation!!!

  9. After watching some film, Bay City is a lot like Center but better. Bay City offense runs through their QB, the first true duel threat QB Silsbee has seen this year, 2,000+ passing/1000+ rushing. He likes to spread the ball around. They have a big running back that likes to impose his size on defense's, doesn't have top end speed and not much of a cutter. The WRs are a good bunch, short routes, deep routes and speed. The Bay City defense is quick. They flow to the ball with great pursuit and like to gang tackle, ok on one-on-one tackling. Their run defense they like to plug the gaps with LB on stunts and blizes and rely on their front to put presser on the opposing QB, DBs has some speed. The Silsbee offense, after last week, needs to clean it up. Four turnovers and run blocking, to many time our RBs got hit in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage. We should be able to run the ball and if they pull up to stop the run we should have no problem going over the top. The Silsbee defense should be able to get after these guys. If we contain their QB like we did last week it will be a long night for Bay City. Again, I don't think Bay City has seen the overall team speed like what Silsbee will put on the field Friday night. Should be another good played game. If Silsbee offense plays clean I see a 42-28 win. I know, a homer pick. TigerNation!!!
  10. Now I know why I don't listen to this show.
  11. Final CL 87 Silsbee 79. Way to gut it out Silsbee. I know we lost but way to play. Keep working hard.
  12. Now the refs are favoring CL 84-78 CL
  13. 81-75CL. Silsbee getting some calls
  14. Wow, refs must think it’s a wrestling match now
  15. CL #10 and #5 must shoot threes on their sleep
  16. Silsbee has nobody under the goal that can rebound, CL to tall
  17. Lots of running . CL starting five looks winded, so does Silsbee starting five
  18. CL bench is standing up after every CL shot
