First, Defense slowed down a very good offense. Only giving up 20 points to a offense with two big time receivers and a good QB. Second, we didn't run the ball like I though we should have, but NY spent 100 million dollars to stop offensives. Third, dropped passes. Beasley catches the slant on the first drive and that's a TD. Dez hangs onto the one in the end zone and that's a TD. Guess what we win if that happens. Penalties killed drives. Finish drives and you will win games. Go Cowboys!!!

Can we a least get past the bye week before we start this thread.

Just looking for Silsbee to progress like we have done each week. To much to work on, left seven TD's on the field in the last two games. Dropped passes, penalties got to control what we can. Can't leave any TD's on the field against a gifted team like WOS. We love playing WOS always a fight, no gimme game. TigerNation!!!

This Silsbee Senior class has had great success against Jasper, only losing one year. Since the seventh grade this Silsbee Senior class is 4-1 playing against our arch rival. TigerNation!!!

Great job Tigers. First win of the year over Jasper a big time rival game. Got down early in the first quarter (19-0) and fought back for the win. Jasper has size and speed, tons of speed. Defense stepped up and shut down Jasper. Offense settled down and got rolling. We left to many TD's on the field tonight, got to clean up them penalties. As I read all these pages on the topic I see the word hate and I see hate in the words that are written. A while back a wrist band came out with the initials WWJD on it, What Would Jesus Do. Punishment should always come at a price of a wrong, that's part of the learning, as with this wrong. Racial slurs, whether whose mouth it comes out of, is very rarely intended to be friendly and 99.9% of the people have used some sort of a racial slur. What would Jesus Do, first he would forgive the person who transgress on him them he would talk to him about love and understanding. No one on this earth has ever felt the hate and persecution and oppression that he felt. Forgiveness is something very hard to do and it is not the way of the world. Hate is the way of the world. A wrong has been done and punishment is coming. Will there be forgiveness in the hearts of the wronged? There is a old saying that is true as it ever was "be the better person". I believe it can happen tonight at the football game, I believe these two team can make it happen. Good luck and be safe.

Averaging 30 points a game so far and people still think our offense is the problem. I've been saying since we lost in the playoffs last year that our offense will be fine it's the defense that needs help. Our defense looked better last week and going to look better this week. Both sides of the ball is a learning process and both are getting better. TigerNation!!!

That field has never been the same since the mud bowl...I think 2007 was the year That Silsbee/WOS game did tear the field up, but it was the next game, Silsbee/BC, that the field has never recovered from.

Big time players show up in big games. Over all better effort, a step in the right direction. To many going both ways while players sit on the side line. Several turnovers that got over turned. Newton has a very fast defense and a big, good QB.

Silsbee, PNG Cancelled

This will be a game where both teams are looking for answers after talent graduated. While both teams are wanting the win, both teams are looking for improvement from the two scrimmages. Silsbee may have an edge in the skill positions and PNG may have an edge in lineman. Both teams are looking for an improved defense. Silsbee will travel to the Reservation against a very hostile crowd and play in one of the most lop sided stadiums in SETX, where most will say the visiting team is down seven points when they get off the bus. What questions will get answers and what improvements will get improved. How will the Silsbee new coaches and new offense and defense react. Two teams with great tradition and history are playing in week one is just one game of several great week one games in SETX. First off I'd like to offer prayers to the injured tonight. Ozen freshman who was carted off the field by ambulance, Silsbee JV QB (broke clavicle) and Ref who hurt his leg. Ozen offense needs timing and it will be fine, they do have some size on both sides of the ball. Silsbee offense looked better, running the ball and passing as needed. I think the last freshman team to play PNG is this year senior? That would have Partain at QB and McCain at RB.
