well i j ust found something else it appears we have a discrepancy.....two different locations are reporting two diff divisions for lumberton and houston smiley as well as png and galena park........but im going to go with the uil link over the post in a different thread

not if they are playing galena park and lumberton is playing smiley.....check your brackets

ok.....if lumberton is playing smiley then that means they were sent to div1 which there is only one 22-4a seed.....dayton and png must be in div .... so i dont think lumberton and dayton can see each other again. am i completely wrong?

i remember watching sulphur playing several years back, and being darn impressed. I am sure the caliber of team is still similiar to what it is now. So dont let em say they cant compare to setx teams... Way to go guys! Im very impressed. And keep up the good work!

it sure seemed that you were bashing. The lumberton raiders are proud of their town and their team which is somehting they have never had. Without tem pride this forum wouldnt exist at all in fact texas high school football would not exist . So when you made the statement that they should shut up until they win in district that sounded like a bash pretty badly, especially when you look at it from the perspective that none of these teams have won anything in district. Lumberton can talk all they want just like Nederland or Port Neches can, and for you hfaninthestands makes you look like a jerk dont bash them for being proud. However you can bash them for some of the ways they show it( stunner be a little nicer though no less proud). But the fact remains they scored like 5 times against hamshire fannett even when it was a scrimmage and were turned around inside the 30 and hf didnt score once.

well being from lumberton i will tell you the WASPs of the town think its good looking, they are more interested in them being cute little mommas boy's and making good grades (which isnt a problem except where football or other sports is concerned) so the red and blue works fine for them.... correction most of the people in lumberton the attitude that oakland uses would fly with some but not all

i should be more specific about lumberton beating silsbee it was a scrimmage a few weeks back that they played in game format, though they only played 3 quarters dont know why. however by all accounts and the score lumberton stomped them pretty bad

This gets a comment. My friend search nederland or PNG. The lumbertonites are finally proud (regardless if its unfounded or not) let them be and enjoy it. OR are you upset because they bent yall over in the scrimmage out in hamshire fannett and yall are worse than them

I hate to say it but Ned Jv could probably take on vidor on their best day. Though you hate to see any team get stomped that is what will happen

This is a friendly discussion we dont need things like that said all you did is waste people time for reading it.

All of this is possible but we can all agree silsbee is a good time giving nederland and houston sterling a run for the money. Now granted Png did beat silsbee but so did lumberton. That was a good scrimmage now i do agree maybe playing bridge city and cleveland doesnt make em look that great (especially when kelly almost beat bridge city). Who knows though those boys in lumberton have a good team, and though perhaps not playoff material still quite noteworthy. Noone should take them quite so lightly it will not be an easy victory for anyone who plays them.

Why Dayton so big? The rankings of last week as far as 4a is concerned had Lumberton just under Dayton. No reason to make a BIG prediction in my books. Please explain your reasons piratefan.

LadyRaider makes a good point...Really and truly why would the color combo be intimidating when Lumberton has never won in football? I know some people quake when they see the colors on the Lady Raiders Basketball team. Plus if they were to take silver and black it would be simply copying the NFL team. (which originally they may have done anyways... Bears, Panthers Etc.). But give Lady Raider a break she is a 2010 that makes her what.. a freshman? all she has is the cliche's her coaches hand her.
