;D ;D I have always said that 5 gallons of luck will beat a 55 gallon drum of skill every time ;D ;D

They are not a jumpshooting team, they have to get the ball inside to the three big guys, and they have to finish their shots. In Fridays game the three inside players schore 39 points in the paint. The team was 3 for 5 from the 3 point line. But still need to make those free throws late in the game ;) But as long as they keep playing this way, the only team that can stop them is themselfs.
OK True, granted, you have seen a whole lot more Evadale games than I have, but I thought Evadale has a good thing going when they work it into one of the big men and as the defense collapses on him, he kicks it out for a wide open 3.  Has that not been working of late?
Well the last 2 games the three ball has not been falling. We went 0 for 10 agains Leggett, and we only shot 5 Friday. Yorktown was a small guard team that was real fast so we did not get many open looks from out side, But they had no answer for the size inside. #21 scored 28 points and they tried 3 different players to try and stop him, and 2 of those fouled out and the third had 4 fouls at the end of the game. # 3 made 2 threes but the most of his 19 points came from him flashing to the goal when they tryed doubling 21. But I am waiting for both players to get hot on the same night, that is going to be something to see ;) :)

 4. This was the first game all year that the Rebs have came from behind to win a big game. Yorktown came out a shot the 3 at will. The second half the Rebs went to a man def. and their size was the difference. # 5 for Yorktown had 19 points in the first half, but the man def. held him to only 3 free throws in the second half. scoring for the rebs were

Dunigan 28
Murphy 19

Trucker 6

Stark 8
Totten 4

5. This is the first time that Evadale has played a 2 round playoff game in 10 yrs.

You can't imagine what this community is going through right now. It is beyond words.
And I was talking about the kids, realy the baby that those animals attacked. Like I said the game means nothing, its a game. Thats the clue.. And that is the biggest problem with this country now. Your talking about playing a game, and not the fact that someone has ruined this little girls life. And just remember that Silsbee went through this same kind of thing just a few years ago.

 10.
Hawks over Indians
How do you see this being an Upset????? The Hawks are suppost to play Silsbee for the third time to see who goes to Austin ;D Now if they were to win that one ,you could say that one would be a Upset ;D
 11.
The Rebels lack of ability to put teams away is related to their conditioning. They run out of gas late which is why I have said in the past they need to play 2 big men and rest one to be fresh. The free throw problems unfortunately are hard to fix if you don't shoot them the same way consistantly. In #3 defense it's hard to shoot the 3 in the open arena if you haven't worked on it some. The depth perception can be a little different animal.
Yes he told me that the back board was so clear and there was so much room behind the goal that his shoot was just off.

They better have a short memory, and just forget this game ???
Is that what Evadale had better do, forget their game?  ;)
No Evadale need to rememory their game. They had that game won, and just gave it away. Kountze had no business playing Silsbee. But thats what you need to do is divert the attention away form that good old fasion @$$wiping that you all took tonight. But good luck in the playoff game tuesday night. We will be injoying our bye.

 14.
West Sabine's depth came to the forefront last night. Their conditioning is excellent and it showed last night. Seems like every team these days has trouble sinking their FT's, though. The only thing that will cure that is practice, practice, practice, and (wait for it) more practice! Seems like Evadale has trouble guarding teams with speedy guards, of which West Sabine has many. Can't really give an accurate assessment, however, seeing as how that was the only game I have seen Evadale play.
No not teams with speedy guards but a team with one good shooting guard. #11 won that game for WS, and the fact Evadale quit attacking the inside. #11 was 7 for 9 from behind the line :o. That kid can play. The biggest problem that Evadale has right now is they just dont know how to finish a game. They get a team down but just dont have that killer instinct. They should have won that game by 25 points, when you get a 11 point lead that is when that instinct should kick in. And they just dont have it >:( But this game is just what they needed before they start the playoffs. There are no more eazy games. Its time to put up or go home, and get ready for baseball.
 15.
fatigue does strange things
That might be the case ,but you still have to make the free basket... #21 went 3 for 9 from the line, and I have been in his ear all day. But he only sit for 4 min. and for some reason he said that is was realy hot on the floor. And at the end of the game he had no legs left. The one good thing that this game did was #3 has a few game were he cant throw a ball in the lake, and maybe this was the last one of those for the year ;)
 16.

The question is, did this player who only played 1.5 quarters and ended up being the high scorer for HF get the majority of his points in what some call "garbage time" during the last half of the 4th? ;) That is what I was told. ;)
And I bet he text you and you both agreed to not start the HF starters in the 4th against HJ because HF might keep the score too close and there might be a slight justification to play his beloved seniors in their last game.
Dove your under class men have had 30 games this year to try and get a winning record. They finished 13 and 17. Do you realy think that finishing 14 and 16 would have made ant difference. But after playing all year at HF, if you realy fell that your kids would be better off playing somewere else, quit crying on this board and move. Right now its a buyers market in housing. But you strike me as one that is just going to bitch and cry about something but never have the guts to do anything about it.
 17. In this game there was no inside-outside game, #3 went 0 for 9 from out side. But there was no reason for them to ever shot a shot from more than 6' . Thats what got the 11 point lead. WS had no answer for their inside game. Why they stoped taking the ball to the rim is the question. But if #21  does not start making his FT , teams will just start fouling him ever time he gets the ball low, and not let him take the ball to the glass.
 18. Out of the three games tonight this one was the best by far. The lack of size hurt EC late in this game. WO-S just had to many Off. boards late in the game. At on time WOS got 5 Off. rebounds before making the basket. I still think EC is one of the local teams that has a chance of making it to Austin ,in 2a. Silsbee being the other. I thought Evadale might have a chance but if they dont find a way to beat small fast teams they wont make it very far.
 19. I just dont understand this bunch of kids. They had a 11 point lead by taking the ball to the rim. Then the second half they decide that that was working so well that they would come out at half and become a jump shooting team :( They got out scored 33 to 15 in the second half. WS had no answer for the inside size the first half, and for some reason Evadale went away from that. They had 4 turnovers in the first half, then had 14 in the second half. This was a 6 piont game with 2 min left and the reb had to start fouling and WS did not miss the FT, While Evadale went 2 for 8 in that streach. This late in the season I just dont know how to fix this >:( I just see a waste of talent.. Could be a short trip in the playoff if they dont learn to play to their strengths.

 21. OK I can say that I was wrong in saying 10 points. I should have said 15 to 20 points. But no one can say that they have not played anyone. They have played a very tuff perseason. Just hope that it pays off int the playoffs. This is the first year in 10 yrs that they have won their dist. And no one can say that they have ducked anyone. I know for a fact that their coach tryed to get 4a dist champs Ned. to play this warmup game and they turned him down.

The only 10 point games I see are the 2nd time you played Kountze at home, Krum and Cayuga. The others weren't close. Maybe I'm mistaken though?
seeing that you were not at those games,The only game that they were not end untill the last Qr was HJ. And in most for them they were only down by 3 or4 at half. And the score you have on the EC game is wrong it was 54 to 44. Who ever put it on that way made a misstake. But that realy makes no difference . The guy said that they had not played anyone, and that just aint the case. And so they lost most by 15 points, does that make it better ??? But I fell safe saying that this game will be closer than the Kountze and Silsbee game ???  Kountze  will lucky to stay with end 20
 23.
Should be an entertaining game. I'll say West Sabine by 10. Will probably be close throughout though. Will be honest I don't really know anything about Evadale except what I've read on here. Think they have a 6'7" post named Stark?
The Stark kid is 6'3'' and Tucker is 6'3'' and Dunigan is 6'7''. All are aver. 10 points and over 10 boards a game.
