True Blue

I am very proud of the way the Rebs came out to play tonight. like someone said earlier pick your poision.. BS had a game plain to not let #3 beat them, and they were in is pocket. But that opened up the inside, and the Rebs took full advantage of that with their 3 big guys. #32 had 25 points #43 had 5 steals in the first Qr and 7 for the game along with 10 points and 5 blocks. #21 had a triple double 15 points 18 boards and 10 blocks. And everone knows that I have been critical of the point guard play, but I have to give props to #5 for playing a great game. I dont think he had a single turnover. And great job by coach L for having the team ready for this big dist. game. He never took his foot off the gas and it showed. Did not press the ball at all in the second half but he keep the team attacking the rim the whole game.

Spurger needs to come out and play like their playoff lives are on the line, because if they lose this game that may be the case. 3 losses could knock them out of the playoff hunt.

In most cases he gets traped at mid court or turns is over out of bounds. He is the hardest player on the team just alittle out of control some times. The best point they have is #5 but he has got to keep his head up and look down the floor. As soon as any of them puts their head down its a turnover looking for a place to happen. Their realy working hard with the three big guys passing the ball over the top. Its the first pass that is giving them trouble now. 

Woo Evadale is still behind Spurger eventhow they beat them head to head and they beat Goodrich, who also beat Spurger. Looks like some are holding the tuff schedule that they  have played against them.

HF will be 1 and 4 starting 2half of dist. Their chance of playoffs left as soon as the OF was over. Get out the gloves and warmup the arms, Baseball season is comming soon.

[/quote] Well you know everonce in a blue moon, we agree on somethings. Evadale does have holes, and the bigest has been a the point. Just look at evergame that they have lost, and look at the turnovers, by who ever is at the point. They have worked hard at trying to fix that , just hope to get a good warmup game to see if they have. I hope tomorrow night in BS that they get tested with pressure on the ball. The best way to learn is under fire.

Its been hard to pick a score spread all year with Evadale. They have been ahead by 30 with 2 min. left and pulled the starters and the back ups give up 10 to 15 points in just a flash.  I think that the Rebs will win this one , with a good showing of the 3 big guys. But who realy cares by how much, as long as its a win.. 6 of the Evadale players went to watch SP play BS and they all said that BS has a group of kids that can shoot , but have no size inside.

[/quote] No . you were down by 8 at the half, but were out scored 21 to 11 in the third, and 22 to16 in the fourth and were down by 29 before Evadale pulled the starters.SP played hard the whole game but never was realy in the game. If you get a few brakes in the HD game you might have a chance to get 3. High school ball is all about matching up against the other team, and you just dont have the size to match Evadale.

Well if they are at full strenght they are clearly not the strongest 1a Team

Missing freethrows at the end of the game or on more emportant than ones in the first qrt. And yes it is allways a good clean game when the two teams meet in what ever sport. But this year is just Evadale's year their Sr class is one of the best in years. And I hope when your team come to Evadale to play you play them as hard as you guys can. Thats the only way their going to go anywere in the playoff is by playing good hard games the rest of the year.

I thought that with them losing Blankenship  that was going to hurt. Their point can push the ball and Big George can score, but if you can match his play  they realy have no one else that can score. I hope that they can turn it around. It would be a shame if they miss the playoffs this year after comming so close last year.

When a team is picked to blow throw their dist. it is eazy for other teams to get up to play them. Its is harder for the better team to get up to play weeker teams, I think that they will be ready to play come playoff time.

After reading the box scores, looks like EC had a player come off the bench and put up 24 points. I bet Anahuac did not see that comming. But if EC shot 31 Free Throws ,how many of Anahuac's players fouled out??

Guess this is a big school deal. Small schools have allways played both girls and boys together.. Hard to get people to watch both play. Whats the big deal for 3 or 4 weeks you loss a little sleep 1 night a week. Come on Man ;D

And they all know that. The Point that was on this team from the time he was 8  did not play this year. AND ever parent knowes I have coach everone of these kids starting form the time they were 8, so they all know me. And they all know if they would like to set a talk they all know were I live. Unlike some on here I will and never have said anything on this site that I would not say to anyone face to face. But if any of you guys that think I am out of line, just man up and come and see me.
