As I said before this will be a great chance for Andrews to learn from a winning coach how to build a winning program. EC just went from a 3 place team to a team that will fight for the 1 place spot.

I have stayed out of this for a week but enough is enough. I dont know how it works in the 4a and 5a schools but in the smaller schools it is there.Politics deffinetly play a part in who playes and who does not. I Had a coach come to coach my oldest son and when he got here he told all the kids that were telling him how they played the year before, Dont tell me how you play show me. I thought great, but when the jerrseys for V were handed out there was a 10 greader with a shirt?? The only prob was the kid had had a broken arm the intire preseason. The Only thing this kid had shown was his last name was the same as the schoolboard Pres.  But that to is a part of life. It happens everday in the real world. So all you can tell your child is to work harder at the things that realy mean the most, Being a good student and a good person and the rest will work itself out.

Who is the QB going to be ???

This could be a trap for the Rebs. Just dont look pass this game to next weeks Homecoming Keep playing one week at a time and go for another undefeated season.  I know that no one is happy with the Off. so far , but I know that they are working hard this week to fix that. Look for the Rebs to light up the score board this week.

when it is officaly out who this new coach is, you will see what I am talking  about. He was hand picked to help put the EC basketball program back on top were he left it. Great job by the powers to be in EC on getting this guy back.

Its no rumor it is fact and this guy and you can take this to the bank > will not have his basketball players doing any off season football lifting during Basketball season.  This just took the EC program from the 3 place team to competing for the top spot. Congration to EC on this hiring.

I have not seen any of the teams play but by reading what has happen so far this year, I would have to put  Harden in the mix. I think the 3 spot will be between EC, Woodville and Harden.

They need to give the kid a break on the Def. side. He played linebacker last year, and was in ever play. So they moved him to strong safety this year and all that did was to give him a 5 yard head start to hit someone. The kid plays all out on ever play that he is on the field. So the only way to keep him from hiting some one is to have him on the side line.

The way I see this is that Evadale should be 1 in 1a and 2a this week. :o With Kelly lossing Evadale should move up :o Dont quite understand how this is rated, because there are several 2a teams on this list, that would blow them off the field, just keeping it real. ;) But the braging rights are fun. ;D

[/quote]I cant believe that agg is on my side but he is right this time. My son does start at wideout. He is 6'7'' but he only 165 that will never make it on the O line. The kid I and talking is 6'3'' and 250 ,That is a guard dream size, big and strong with good feet.  With him on the line and the starting tightend at 6'3'' 240 and the big fullback all on the field at the same time they could run on anyone. I know that they will blow throw dist. playing just like they are now , but I would like to see them go more than one and done in the playoffs. Who realy cares if you go undefeated in dist. if you get blew out in the first playoff game.

Its still killing me to see the bigest kid on the field for Evadale standing on the sideline as a backup tightend , when the QB is getting killed from the back side and the left guard is getting beat everyplay. If your getting beat on ever pass play you have to at lease keep a back in to help pick up the rush. I was on here last week saying that the QB needed to make all his reads before taking off running, this week he did not have time to make the first read. He never had time to look down the field. The D-end was in the back field more than the fullback. Great job by the defence but its time for the offence to stepup and take some of the pressure off. Things dont get any easyier this week , because Colmesneil will be looking for pay back for the loss last year.

Well looks like Orangefield has run the table with the 2a schools just to bad they play in the 3a dist. :D :D

well it was not pretty but it s a W and that is all that counted. Evadale only had 2 good off. playes but that was enough to score the only TD of the night. Off. is still struggling and had 0 passing yards, again droped pass hurt, but with 2 long runs back to back was all they needed. And again the def. stepped up  at the end of the game in their end of the field with the endzone at their back and shut Trinity down 4 plays. Good job boys, and some one owes me a steak ;D ;D

Be carfull what you wish for bacause as soon as you get a football coach that is also the AD and he starts the universal offseason weight lifting, and he makes the basketball team lift during basketball season you all will be screaming to get rid of him. ;D

I agree that they will get it together and to his def. that was the QBs first real game this year. I know he will get his # this year. He has plenty of people to throw the ball to that should be able to catch ;) Once he can depend on them it will be OK

JMO but looking from the outside in, it looks like Kountze put all their eggs in 1 basket, the basketball one that is. Kountze is going to be a dist. contender again this year in basketball and they should be proud of that. But is is real hard to be able to be a strong program in every boys sport.
