Anahuac had all their players, just dont think they were ready for the way EC came after them from the start. Ec jumped out to a 10 point lead and it took so much effort to  cut into that lead that evertime they did they just ran out of gas and EC would pull back out in front. But I have to say that they never quit comming. The new line up for EC helpes them finish ever Qr. Anahuac would cut into the lead at the start of ever Qr just to have EC put Carrington, Green, Dunigan in and pull away. And you are prob right that Kountze is 25 points better but I think we will still play the game, strange things happen when 17 and 18 year kids are in charge.

Not saying that EC will win, but they will not get blew out like Kountze has everone  else. EC play them close at Kountze untill the 2 half, and Kountze will not have their hand picked UIL Refs that bring their on homecooking ;)  EC is the only team to hold Kountze to 90 points and no oops ;D in Dist. so far. This will be a good game and dont look for EC to laydown and rollover for them, Ec players will pull their laces up a little tighter for this game.

Eagles2010 I am realy not comparing the two sports, just comparing the clames that EC playes in a week district. The same post were made during football season. Personaly I think any team from eather District can beat any team from the other district, except for maybe Kountze ;D I am sure that Woodville has a strong programe, they did have good athletes on the football program. And should make for good games during the playoffs.

Carrington and Green had a good Off game with 12 and 14 points. And Dunigan had a good Def. game with 6 boards and 5 blocks and 2 points. Gilfillian had a good game on the boards 5 , and 7 points. Dont have all the stats yet have to get home and watch tape.

Ec won a nainbiter by 5 after leading most of the game by 10. Anahuac took the lead by 3 with 3:00 left. The Bucs took the lead back with :30 left and then pulled ahead at the end.

Ec is up by 10 at end of 1 qr and still up by 10 at 1/2 23 to 33

Hay Court side bring you laptop and keep us up updated sure am hating to miss this one.

And if you are a player you can play any sport. There is not one Pro Basketball player that could not play football. How hard would it be for a 5'10'' def back to try and stay with Jorden

I am hoping the lineup change the coach Andrews has made workes this week with the EC V Anahuac. I dont think that Anahuac can mach up with Carrington and Dunigan on the floor together. Anahuac relies on speed and realy does not have much sizes. Carrington at 6'3'' and Dunigan at 6'7'' should give them trouble. But if it was not for this game I too would be at the Evadale , Spurger game.

Are these the same kids that were going to run EC off the football field? And how did that turn out ;D

If and that is a BIG if the same team for EC showes up to play Friday night that has been playing the last 4 games, they will win this one by 10. Carrington is nolonger trying to play the 5 and it has realy helped him. Coach Andrews is now playing Dunigan and Carrington and Green all on the floor at the same time. They beat a good Harden team lastnight by 36 points but more impressive is the fact they held Harden to only 27 points. With the three of them in there are very few Off Reb by the other teams and they give up very few points in the paint. Should be a great game cant wait to see them GET IT ON :o

I would love to see the Rebs put a win in this weeks column, but keeping it real I think the lack of a true point guard will hurt the Rebs. I see Spurger winning this one by 15. JMO I think Murphy and Blankenship will even each other out, and I see Evadales two big post Stark,and Tucker will even out with Big George. That leaves the two point guards, I think McGallion is one of the best true point guards in the area. Wish I could be at this game ???

This game went just like I predicted Was close at first but Harden got in foul trouble and just could not keep up. They had 3 players foul out and EC keep puting pressure ( by scoring ) on them. [/quote]I guess we both missunderstood eachother I was talking about the Pressure of having to score every trip up the floor. With 33 and 1 on the floor they can slow the game to a half court game and score in the paint that makes teams have to score just to keep up. And JMO if they come to play when they play Ana. like they did to play Koun. they will win that game by 10 or more. The only thing is you never know if that team will show up ??? They have a 13 and 12 record so looks like they have beaten more that just Buna and Warren :D

[/quote] Sorry that you havent seen more of the EC games but With Carrington and Dunigan on the floor at the same time they seem to get more Off. Rebounds and that leads to more easy baskets. EC does not have a true point guard and a deep threat but if they can controll the boards that will put pressure on any team to take better shots. And Dunigan is the 2 leading scorer on this team and leads in blocks so He can score and play deff. So I guess you thank that no one on this team can score
