The Carrington kid is playing hurt and is deff not 100%  his sholder is hurt and needs to be fix but that would put him out for his Sr year so he is just tuffing it out. If he streches it out to far is comes out of place so if you watch him he tryes not to use it. I have seen him try to rebound with one arm. I feel sorry for the kid he is trying his best but you know it has got to hurt him. Just look at his stats for this year, they are not closs to what he put up last year.
 2. There were a few calls that make up wonder about the quality  of the Refs but the player that ran on to the floor had checked in during the time out and just forgot to come out after the timeout but he was on the books, that is not a vilotion.  The refs should have never stop the play of ball. Still have not gotten  the call were OF got the 3 and the ball???
 3. Well I havent been in the Koun. gym in 29 years for a District game so I guess I will have to wait and see. But I will take that coke. I wont be hard to find are hear ;D  Just look at the big kid then look for the old man in his mirror with about 60 lbs added >:( Just make it a DR Pepper and we have a deal ;)
Just tell me were to meet up with you before the game  and Ill take that 30 points for a coke  ;D I know we are nowere close to Koun. now but 30 points thats a streach. I also know that both SRs are at a different level than the JR but give him one more year at this poss. This is his first year at center with this new team. And if you know anything about BB there wont be a collage look at eather one of Koun. players to play the inside poss. the are both  guards and small forwards.
 5. This was a very ugly game but sometimes they are just that way. #3 Green carried the team tonight he realy steped his game up to pickup his team. I sitll wont someone to tell me the ruling behind the 3 pointer that OF made and then got the ball under their basket. There was no foul called they just counted the 3 and then gave them the ball?? Great win EC, have a great Xmas and get ready for the Turn. see everyone there
 6.
Ill make it easier for you if he comes back hardin will dominate ec and anahuac plain and simple
IF IFS and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a merry chrismas ;D
 7. 6'2'' and 6'3 is not big at anylevel 6'6'' is big at 2a level ;)  I guess that why we will play the game ;D Seemes to me HJ was picked by 20+ Just tell me were I can get some of that action were you are going to give me 40 points I have a few coins to put down. ;D
 8. There is no doubt that Chase is the best PG in the 1a class and could be in the area. George is playing the 5 and is a little short to be concered the best at that spot, If he was to play on a team were he could play the 3 or 4 he would definitely be in the top picks. JMO for what its worth ;)
 9.
I use to follow teams when they went to state in three-a. What are those kids doing are where are the playing now? Kids like Fred, Trey Peters, Hancock sp brohters and others. Anyone know? I know Hall was a fish on that team but any idea about these? Thanks
I saw the Peters kid working at OCB in Lumberton driving a forklift .
 10.

EC gave up a 10 point lead to OF in the Evadale turn. Dont see them going that now. They are realy playing good together now, they have learning to play with a big inside player and with teams having to dubble team inside that has open up the outside shot. Their young coach has got the team playing together and with a mixture or SR and underclassman they have gotten better with evergame. They are not closs to Kountze yet but if the Lions stumble they will be ready to jump at the chance. No one gave them a chance to play with HJ They were one missed traveling call and a freethrow from taking the lead with 25 sec. left. So dont sleep on this team
the lions could stumble E.C. don't have the inside to play with kountze. The bigs will dominate.
What bigs ?? the two kids that are 6 2 and 6 3 That ant big.  They do have major hops But that ant big. They could not handel the one true big kid that they played against at HJ.  Like I have said dont see any 2a team beating them as long as one stayes out of foul trouble and the others knee holds up. But  dont stumble like they did against HJ they blew a 10 point lead when Bray got his 4 foul.

 13.
I am just not going to say a kids good if he wasn't that's not what I do I am going to tell you the truth and the truth is the guy can flat out play and I know talent and I've seen point guards the last two yrs in the district and he's the best in district he gave ec and kountze big time fits two yrs ago I just hope he gets back in a month and that's what we are hoping
I wish the kid the best of luck, but you know it takes 3 or 4 games to get your legs under you and if he only gets back the second half of Dist. there will not be enough time to make a difference. As far as adjusting to the physical play Ec did that at the end of that game for a win. But I dont see Hardin adjusting to a close called game, Ec beates Hardin by 25 at home. JMO
 14.
Their is a HUGE difference in being one of the better players on your team and being one of the top 10 players in SETX.I haven't seen much talk about any of the kids from Memorial(a pretty good club)or Forney from Nederland. Some of the players mentioned in this thread couldn't start for Kountze,Silsbee or HJ.There are probably 5 players in 23-aa that would get a mention on a top 25 list.Walker,Brey and Whisenant from Kountze. The PG from Hardin if he rehabs enough to play and the Mayes kid from Anahuac.
Your real quick to put 3 Koun. players in the top 10 yet didnt these 3 players loss twice to HJ? JMO if they are  good  enough to be in the top 10 they should be able to adjust there game to beat a team the second time. And how can a player that has not played in 2 years even be in the conversation. This Thread is just personal op. and people are just speaking of players that they have seen. The 4a and 5a teams prob. do have kids that could make this list just most people on this site are suporters of the smaller schools.
 15. I wish the kid the best of luck, but just dont see a kid that has not played ball in two years to come in after half the year is over and make that much of a impack And if they play anywere were the Refs call 1/2 the fouls that were made Friday night you wont have enough kids on the team to finish a game. JMO
 16.

Hardin didn't play to well either hopefully they will get the davis kid back soon who is the best point guard in the district if they cqan get him back before the start of the seconds half of district they will be fine
This is in 'Hardinesse', let me translate... "Hardin didn't play very well"...We are the better team but just had an off night. "Davis kid back soon (sic) who is the best point guard in the district"...Never heard of him, I bet the folks at Kountze haven't either. "Seconds (sic) half of district they will be fine"...We've got 4th place wrapped up!
;D ;D :D :D :o
 17. HE Had another Double, double with 12 points and 10 boards. But it was not easy they gave him no calls in side and he realy got beat up. One kid keep throwing elbows in his back to try to keep him out of the paint. With 4:00 left in the 4th Green fould out and he had4. Played smart no fouls and started taking the ball hard to the rack, got no help from the Refs so he had to go strong. It was good for him to have to play in that kind of game early in the year, so if he needs to step up later in the year he will know what it takes. But the hole team is starting to play together real nice. They are looking inside faster and that is starting to open the outside shot up. He is getting triple teamed some times an that is realy opening up the floor. Just watched tape and we missed several chances to pass to the backside for a wideopen layup, but that will come in time.

He is playing for a new team in a new position and leading the team in points reb and blocks, And only playing 1/2 of the game, comming off bench. And making alltrun. in the HJ turn.
he might crack the top 25.... he isnt that good
EC has several players that look like they may develope into pretty good players. The games I've seen no one has been consistant but someone looked pretty solid each game.Green,Jones,Carrington and Davis all looked good at times. The coach is the key to this group,he puts them in a position to win.I've never seen a top ranked high school player that didn't start.
Have you ever seen a player make all turn. and be leading the team in 3 stats that was not starting. Just look at the mins and who is on the floor when the game is on the line. This coach is keeping his team together and starting his 3 Srs but when the game is on the line his  big player is on the floor ;) Just like tonight with another double, double.
 19. Ec had to win one the old fashion way earn it by playing tuff. Dont know were these Ref are from but if there was no blood in the paint it was not a foul. But dont handcheck 60 feet from the bucket that was a foul. If Harden plays that ruff in Ec they wont have enough players to finish the game :o Great way to start off Dist. 1 and 0 Now lets get ready to make up for that early loss to OF this Monday with a win. I dont see them lossing a 10 point lead like last time.
Sweet that is great news..........back in time then for the HJ/EC game at Ford Arena on January 2nd.  Gives him a few games to get back into before district starts!!!
That is great news. It sure did not look good when it happen. I cant wate for the Jan 2 game, to see the two big kids go agains each other. I look for the Sr to teach the Jr a few things. ;) 6'6'' Vrs 6'6'' It will be good for both kids and both teams. I look for HJ to come ready to play this time I think they did not think EC could play with them and maybe looked pass them. I dont think their coaching staff will let that happen again.
 21. SP is a prettygood small school team And Orangefield is a good 3a school. Its like a good lightweight fighting a good heavy weight.  The big guy will win most of the time But that is why they play the game ;D JMO Orangefield will just out last the small school.
 22. Why has none of this been in the main line news?? Were are the real reporters at ? Are they all scared off BISD ???
