EC's new center Blane Dunigan had a good game to start off the New Year with his new team. 15 min  6 Rebounds,    7 blocks ,11 ppoints, 3 steals,

by Quarters 1Q  EC 22 BC 13   2Q   EC 35 BC 32   3Q    EC59 BC 46   4Q EC 74  BC 66  EC is still on Football legs and the jumpshots were short and the free throws were way off. BC Shot a very high%  from the line and that is what keep the game close. Next game will be at the Evadale Tournament . EC starts out with Orange Field at 2:00 Thur. Hope they work on the Free Throws, the ones they missed to night will hurt them in a close games. I would beat the shot less than 25%.

Does Burkeville have any size? if not I don't see evadale losing. They have two big guys in side that get after the off. rebounds. Makes for a lot of easy inside points

Ron come on down and see our brandnew GYM and watch the new Buc's start the new year off with a win. With their new 6'7'' center there will be no easy inside shoots. Just dont see BC scoring 60 points, but we will have to wait and see.

This was a premiere tournament before the two storms destroyed the new gym twice It was hard to play a double bracket in the one old gym. When the new gym was first built it was one of the nicest gyms around ,and a lot of bigger schools wonted to come and play in it. Hope to see it that way again soon.

Just dont seeing EC losing the home opener in the new GYM. To good of athletes and to much pride.

[/quote] Sharks lost to Deweville and after watching D vill play Evadale lastnight Sharks maynot be as strong as some have predicted. D vill has no size and no real shooter. Their only off is to send a snowbird back on ever play they give up on rebounds just to try and get a layup on the other end. They only had 18 total rebounds for the entire game. If they out rebounded the sharks it will be a long year for the Sharks because I know that Sp. Evadale, HD, will work the boards.

Bridge City v EC  This will be EC first game of the year and the first game in their new house

Evadale won this one by 8. They had way to much size for Deweyville. They contoled the off boards and had way to many 2 and 3 shots. Starks had a good game and really took over the game in the 3 quarter. Deweyville had no answer for Evadales size.Great way for the Rebels to start off the year .

[/quote] Sorry I did not mean teams that did not play Football I meant Players that did not play football I think Kountze only has one are two that play both sports. The rest have been playing BB for a hole year now.And dont tell me they dont play BB in offseason  ;D Unlike the AD at EC I know that the gym in Kountze is open everyday Today is the first day that EC players could be in the gym So give them a week are two before you count them out.

Well EC could not handle Anahuac speed Could not stop Woodville speed, and now cant run with Daingerfield, Don't know why there making the trip ??? ??? I just hope they play as hard  as the first two games that they weren't picked to win.  ;D

9 Blocks .Is Deweyville that long or is the Sabine Pass team that little or are they just shooting flatfooted 9 blocks are a lot .

I sure hope the best of Spurger this year. I just hope that they all stay healthy this year. It would be a shame for them to loose one of there starters like last year. Does not sound like they have any help after the starting 5. That could really hurt them. If they stay healthily all year they should go for a good run in the playoffs this year.

Sounds like people have way overestimated Kountze. If you cant win with the other team missing 30 freethrow es you wont make it far in the playoffs.JMO They are 1 and 1 so far so don't buy your Austin tickets just yet ;D
