I dont know what punch you guys are drinking I have never seen the kid play BB but watched him play football Was not impressed  attitude got him ejected. If he is as good as youall think, he would have never left Cal. and came to a one horse 2a town to play. get real. Man that hurts I got to get my Hankie :o You guys have been talking trash all week and then pow hit me with this. I to know all the players on this Evadale team, and I am very proud to say I have watched these young boys turn in to fine young men. It does not matter if they win are lose I will always be proud to say I knew them when.....

I would like for you to show how this dist. is ( over rated) to be over rated you first have to be rated high. In no were that I can find were anyone in this Dist have said that they are that great are stronger that anyother Dist. You continue to put down these kids,and tell them they are over rated. All they have done is put on their pads and lined up against the team that they have to play that week. In Evadale's case they played good enough to beat every one of them. For you to keep trying to knock them down is childest. If that makes you fill good to put down a kid, you show no class. You do have the right to your opinion, just no one on here cares what it is. I was told a long time ago If you cant say anythink good just keep your mouth shut. Evadale might get beat this week but You cant take away from them the fact that they are undefeated to this point. Not many teams can say that including your great team Mart

Wish I could see this one but looks like I will be at Sam Houston watching EC whip up on  Woodville ;D  If the line can keep Billy standing I think you have a good chance To show the naysayers that your not in that week of a dist.

Looks like EC gets to see the Speed of Woodville, Should be good game, Maybe they can play somewere close,like Sislbee or Lumberton that should be about 1/2 way for both teams. ;D

Right we are still playing football now and I hope they go as far as there talent will take them, but We are ready to play basketball. He is playing behind 2 Sr and not getting much playing time and it is really eatting at him But that is the price he is having to pay. The new gym is looking great stuck my head in this week

As you said not to put much stock in summer play but not seeing any 2or3a teams play last year the biggest difference I noticed was the speed of the game. Didnt see much def. just run the floor.In a half court game I did not see anyone that could shoot over him in the low post but he is going to have to play faster than he ever has had to before. There was no one in 1a anywere close to Kou in speed. Did not see the kid from Cal. play in the summer but watched him in football, looked like major attitude , got ejected from game. Just looked to me it will be easy to get in his head and take him out of his game he will be giving up 4in and one or to blocks will set him off.

There are more 1a schools in the state than all others combind . If there is one college recruiter at the HJ tournament that is one more than will be at any 1a game this year. JMO but I think Spurger can play with HJ and Kountze this year I watch both play this summer. I know It was just summer ball but HJ was not that strong in side, dont see them stopping SP end side player. Cant Wait for Football to end ;D

I respect your op and you have made good points. And the players that you listed all played at the 2a and 3a classes. That is the point that I am trying to make, not that EC is a power house or any better than were we came from, but they will play KO. and HJ and larger schools that will draw more attention. I had a collage coach tell me that they dont have the money to send some to see one good player at a small school, But if they can go were there or more to see it is worth the trip, Like the HJ tournament. I look for it to draw a little action, dont you. There are no 1a teams playing in it. I personal think Sp could play with most of the teams that will be there but there not in it.

[/quote]You have made my point, no matter how good of a player one is , if he is at a 1a class school he will be lucky to go to a JUCO. I dont think that is fair but that seems to be the way it is. I personally am trying to reach higher than that for my son. He might not make it, but it wont be for the lack of doing everything in our powers to get there. It is his goal to play at the next level and I hope this move will help him reach it.

[/quote]Sorry My computer has been down so I have missed a lot. But to set the record straight,We never moved because of any coach in Evadale. CourtSide said that if a player is good enough coaches will find you no matter what size school you play at, I disagree. In 2001 when the evadale team won state there was not a better player in the whole state any better than Jason Wilkins, I watched him dominate the state playoffs. He had to go to a Jr Co. for two years then went to play at Nichol St. When there he lead the team in 3 point %. In My Opinion, if he would have played at a larger high school he would have been looked at by better and bigger programs. As a parent I feel it is my responsibility to provide my son with the best opportunity to be successfull. I know everyone can't move to a larger school but fortunately I owned land in Winnie so we were able to move.                                                                                                                                          Someone posted that he was not the best player on the team last year. In no way have I ever said he was, He was a Soph and only 6'2'' last year.  If I in anyway I implied he was I apologize for that. He may not even make the starting team at EC. If he does I feel he will get looked at now that he is 6'6'' and playing in a bigger school . I wish nothing but the best of luck to the Evadale Program. I have coached most every player on this team since most were 8 years old, and I will miss watching them . Again Best Of Luck To the Rebles and have a great year. You are half right and most wrong he did walk off on a summer league game that they were down to HJ by 6 at half and for some reason the kid coaching keep him on the bench the hole second half and they lost by 40 and that is when he walked off and after that game he did not play anymore games they lost every game but one, that was to Kountze 8 grade team. so if your going to trash him get your facts right. And he did only play the last half of dist. last due to grades, but when he came back he averg.18 points a game. As far as his playing skills he went to the SFA camp won best big man and best def. player out of 700 players, so him leaving might not hurt Evadale, with a record like they have had the last two years, but it sure Will help EC.

You know all you wount to be's that have or had a proub. with Dunigan can say all this to him in person but as I can see not one of you will. We have nothing but best wishes to all the Evadale players and true fans. Cant wait to see you at the Basketball Turnment this year. As you have said he wont be misted on the footfield but cant wait to see you on the hardcourt. Hope you win more that 3 games this year. Just FYI: EC is something like 9-0 against 3A's the past few years. I like your spirit, though. Evadale is gonna' make some noise come playoff time! ;D I appreciate Blues enthusiasm but I'm not ready to call out EC just yet. Blues a big boned ol boy and I know he's got a big heart that's easily excited. (And his Mom-in-Law keeps me in a good candy supply at the games) ;D ;D. Lets beat the stuffin out of Kountze and maybe we can get EC on the schedule next year. We owe Kountze a few!!! I believe the Rebs will spoil the Homecoming dance. Dont get me wrong I love beating the stuffing out of weaker teams but I dont wont our toughest game to come the first game of the playoffs. I am not Disrespecting the Buna Or the EC programs they are the class of that Dist. and that is the calleper of teams we will meet in the playoffs. And some times a loss can help more that a blowout win. It takes a good team to come from behind in a close game . Sometimes it can hurt a team that has never been behind before. This is a young team this year and I dont wont to see them have to play there toughest game when it is win or go home. But you are wright MO we do owe Kountze a good stomping I remember a few years when they were up 3 TDs and kicked a onside kick.
