9. Just more proof -- Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said on Sunday that House Republicans would oppose President Barack Obama's payroll tax cuts for both employers and employees, arguing that the policy had already failed to provide a sufficient boost to the economy. "It hasn't worked," Ryan said, suggesting the current temporary tax cut should be allowed to expire, which will amount to a 50 percent tax hike on workers making less than $106,000 per year. He also said he opposes the president's proposal to require millionaires to pay the same tax rate as the middle classthat the Reps will do anything to try ans stall the ecom, to make the Pres look bad....
 10. Well  if you know anything about my track record with changing schools. I beleave that you put your child in the best place for them to be successfull. And it is not worth the fight for a coach to fight a kid moving or trying to prove that a kid was recruted..  As the coaching staff in WOS just found out. But as I said the running up of the score goes to the coaching staff, and not the players.
No not on the loosing end here ,dont have a dog in the fight. But I do know that they have 4 or 5 kids that were recruted that could not cut it in the 4 and 5a schools. And now they are winning ballgames. And your right about Legacy being the wipping boys in the past, But I dont ever remember teams running up the scores, by still passing in the 4 qr. But have your 5 seconds of fame and injoy the spotlight while it last, because it wont last long ;D
True Blue, is it a sin to be at 1 of the 3 big schools in Beaumont, realize that you will never play due to the depth and competition for playing time at those schools and transfer?  They were not recruited.   Most are seniors that realize that they won't play again after this year and just want the opportnity to play the game so they leave the big schools.  And to be brutaly honest, yes without those transfers, Legacy would probably be 0-4 right now.  The mental mindset is just different in the school.  So for ANY coach, including when I was there, you have to open up the doors to the public and hope a few difference makers come through.  We made the playoffs the year I was there but wouldn't have if it wasn't for a little outside help. Like I said earlier though, there is now excuse for trying to run up the score in the 4th quarter by calling timeouts and throwing bombs.
Do you exspect us to beleave that those 5 player all came up with $ 7600.00 each , to play at Legacy?? Just how much of that is the school paying or waying the fees. But as far as them calling time outs and throwing bombs at the end of games, that goes on the coaching staff. Little class show there. But he is just auditioning for a bigger school.

 16.
LMAO!!! Actually the more I think about it, HJ has the same height in the front court that they had last year.  They also got smaller on the back court!!!!
So are you saying that Kade or Joe did not grow any this summer, are are they not starting this yr. I saw Joe this summer and he looked to be 6'4 or 6'5 and I know Kade is at least 6'7. But seeing that you are not 5'7 maybe you can not tell that they have gotten taller
 17.
HJ will not have Sutherland (easily the best 3 point shooter in the district last year) and no Gus, but with Bosha and the new kid I think they will be a better team overall.    HJ has always been an inside out team.  Cannot wait for the season to begin.  Just hoping that HJ can get through football with no injuries, especially to those who play basketball!!!
Who am I to talk about your HJ team, but the few times I have seen them play in the last 2 yr, they seemed to me to be a guard oriented team. They relied on speed and traping defense and shooting the 3. From what I have seen with this yrs team they are big, realy big. But with that comes a little slower team. I think they will be the best team in the dist. this yr. but I wont to see how the coaching staff coaches a different kind of team.

I wont to see if the HJ coaches are as good as most think they are. This yrs team will be a complete different team then what has played at HJ for the last few yrs. They are big and strong inside with a good slashing 3 guard, but not the 3 shooting team of yrs past. Just wont to see if they coach to the kids or if they try to make the kids playup to them..
We will actually have two of the best 3 point shooters in the district this year.
I know you have a good 2 guard that can shoot the open 3, but JMP this will be a inside  out team this yr. I dont see the speed this yr, but I see the best big team in the dist.

[Hidden Content]
Sorry but I think High Island should drop to 6 man ball. I think it is unfair to their playesr, to have to play against a team with that many more players, And I think it is unfair to the other teams to have to play a team that realy has little chance, or could even have to drop a game, like they did here.
Too late for that. They will have to wait till next year to make that change. Problem is, still a lot of this season to play as an 11 man team.
Oh I know it wont happen this yr. But that is something that needs to be looked at real hard. I just think it would be better for all partys. Give the kids a fair chance against a team their size. I know the fokes that set in the stands dont wont to see this, but they are not the ones having to play  4 Qrs with no brakes.

 25. Here is some more of your Rep TAXCUTS.....- In Texas, firefighters aren't just battling the wild fires raging around Austin and Houston. The state's first responders have also had to deal with budget cuts affecting everything from fuel purchases to hoses and oxygen tanks. In some cases, fire officials say, firefighters have had to pay out of pocket for basic necessities like proper protective gear and fuel to get them to the scene. One fire department that battled the blazes in Bastrop County had to pay for a hose, recalled Bastrop City Fire Chief Henry Perry, speaking to The Huffington Post during a break from working the wild fires. "That fire department has been on this fire every day," he said. "Before this fire, they were having to buy stuff out of their own pocket." Perry said he knows of at least one other department whose firemen had to pay for equipment maintenance and engine fuel. Earlier this week, HuffPost reported that Gov. Rick Perry, the GOP front-runner for president, had signed off on millions in firefighting cuts as part of the state's most recent budget legislation. The Texas Forest Service's funding has gone from $117.7 million in the 2010-2011 budget years to $83 million in the 2012-2013 budget years. Severe cuts have also hit assistance grants to volunteer fire departments throughout Texas. The grants decreased from $30 million per year in 2010 and 2011 to $13.5 million per year in 2012 and 2013. These are cuts that firemen are now dealing with. Rep Tax Cuts  at their finest :o :o
