Its one thing to argue with a ref, but to take it to a physical level is a whole new level. And the crew was an Orange County Crew! But you are right, Nederland still paid them off because last nights game was such a meaningful game. Which is why we had JV players in on defense in the third quarter.. sheesh  ::)

GCM may have gotten better but I remember when we played them how sloppy they were. Nederland was stuffing their offense bad too and forcing them to make mistakes. If this happens again, it will get ugly quick...

[/quote] You NEVER show new plays in a game leading up to playoffs. I can promise you coaches from 19-4A schools that we could potentially face, will be there with cameras. NEVER EVER EVER reveal new plays or schemes before you are ready to reveal them in the playoffs.

Sorry Ozen. Livingston is going to win this one and win it big. With backs against the wall and Vidor already clinching a spot, i doubt Vidor keeps in starters past the half.

Not sure if i'd consider them dark horses persay, but this Nederland squad hasnt gotten any respect from the state polls so I'd definitely consider them underdogs to go deep. I said it at the beginning of the season and ill say it again. This group reminds me of the early 2000s teams. Very hungry with bumps along the way and the will to overcome.

I wanna see the best. Dont want an "easy" way to the state crown. And mytwocents, no team is a pushover come playoff time. To say that vidor would beat most teams in the playoffs is pretty crazy. Its a one game at a time approach; practice, preparedness, execution, and a little luck. Youre getting the best of the best in a couple weeks.

This is just absolutely terrible. Do people not see whats wrong with this? That coach should be fired and never allowed to coach anywhere again. Teaching kids to give up when youre down is detrimental to a society that already takes the easy way out most of the time. Wow unbelievable. What a joker. If i had a kid that played for colmesneil i would be raising all kinds of hell...

I think it would be crazy to leave starters in the whole game if it happens to be close. It doesnt matter if we lose to LCM. I know the kids want to win and if I were playing then I would want to play the whole game too, but you have to be smart. Neumann would get raked over the coals if a starter got hurt playing in an unnecessary game. Another point: i have seen teams who have nothing to play for, get really dirty and cheap at the end of the season with teams that will have a postseason. Now i am not saying or accusing LCM of having this mentality, its just a fact that it does happen..

Where are the defensive players? Id go with Corbin Carr no doubt.

We lost to the #19 team in OT so yeah one would think so, but it doesnt bother me. Id rather not be ranked going into playoffs..

The reason it should be the way it is, is because if you only allowed two teams from each district, and you had one district with 3 or 4 really good teams and another district with all crappy teams, then you might be leaving out a couple of schools from the really good district who deserve to be there more than the two schools from the crappy district. Essentially it would be like the BCS giving each conference 1 automatic bid to a BCS game, including the WAC, MWC, etc.... Instead of giving two to the SEC..

What are your thoughts? I personally would like to see the first team get two or three possessions in and if they look sharp, then pull them.

I work shift work and am not always free to listen to the live show, but would love to listen when I have free time.

My apologies. I thought you had them ranked in order because the rest of the defenses are ranked in order. I didn't break down the offenses but I agree Nexerland wouldn't be that high on offense.

I think one travels with the Nederland band/westernaires/cheerleaders, but I think it's just the rent-a-cop from the high school. He's an actual Nederland cop though with a real car. I don't think the football team has an escort. We didn't when imposter a few years ago.
