I heard Odgryziak was hurt. Not sure if it happened against PNG or in practice.. Need him bad in a low scoring game like tonight..

Livingston killing themselves with penalties.. Don't blame em.. I'd be holding and tackling this Nederland D too.. Dogs defense forcing Livingston to throw.. Not quite their strong suit..

My God people. LET IT GO... I don't care who's sources say what. Whatever happened and whatever is going to happen is out of our hands. There is a system set up to deal with these things. Many would say our system is broken. Welcome to America. Our whole judicial system is broken. People find loopholes to get out of rape and murder. Sometimes life isn't fair and sometimes people are punished differently. If you are wanting a fair and accountable system then go somewhere else because its non existent here but we, as a society, do the best we can. I'm not claiming the football players received special treatment but even if that were the case, nothing you or I can do about it. This kind of thing happens everywhere. Let the system handle it, broken or not.

Never see Coach Spell get much credit and this week it appears he's not getting any respect either. Over the years when Nederland has faced a tough opponent with a powerful running game, Coach Spell has always done a phenomenal job of putting a scheme together to contain the offense. I remember when I played for him, we were facing a back who had nearly 200 yards rushing every game and with his scheme, that runningback didn't sniff 100. I look for him to have an excellent scheme put together and maybe, just maybe we will contain this Livingston monster of an offense..

Wow 42 points being hung on Nederland. Maybe ill just go catch a movie instead. Ill tell Neumann and the boys not to even show up..

But seriously people, we are talking about a couple pf high school kids who used poor judgement. Every person on this planet has used poor judgement at least a time or two as a teenager. Its really sad that a couple of you are so consumed with some teenagers' lives that you just can't move on. Here's an idea, worry about your own life instead of some kids that you have no connection with. Appeal or no appeal, they made a mistake and paid a price. You don't get to decide when they've paid their dues. Get over yourself. You're making yourself look like a jackass.

Also, they seem to always want to do cheers while we are on offense. Especially the two bits-four bits. That's the worse time for us to cheer. Not their faults, I don't expect them to know everything about football.  But that's why the few of us in the stands start getting loud at certain points of the game... I have a Westernaire who bust her rear end everyday getting ready for the half time show. I would bet she knows more about whats going on during the game than half the stands. So DONT DISS THE HALF TIME. Take out all the kids and their supporters there to support the dogs that perform half time out of the stadium and you dont have the stands close to full. Yes I do agree I played at PNG and the crowd does get the team fired up but, silence the band, drill team, twirlers, cheer leaders, and flags and see how quiet the stands will be. [/quote] My intention was not to diminish the efforts of the other groups involved. It was directed at the band parents, etc. who leave after halftime regardless of the score.  They also cheer so loud at halftime but are dead silent the rest of the game. That was my point. Only saying that without the football team there would be no halftime show for their children to perform. I know the other groups put in a lot of hard work to put on a good show. I just hate the parents who don't root for the team and only care about halftime...

Booing happens on both sides. Its to be expected in a rivalry this intense. Just kids being kids who haven't learned how to be respectful yet. I hate everything PN-G with a "purple passion" but its very disrespectful to boo during a school song. I don't mind them booing when the team comes out or something like that though but not during a school song.

I wasnt trying to call out PNG fans for not being supportive. I cant even get the Nederland fans to be loud when the opposing team is on third down. PNG has the loudest fans of any school I have ever seen play.

I don't  think this one will be close.. PNG is in a do or die situation and will definitely be looking to rebound after two tough losses..

I love being the underdog in a big game. Takes all the pressure off and its where Neumann performs best. Nederland is going to have to play a near flawless game but they have the talent to win. P.S. I don't have any inside info so don't think I do, but I have a feeling we will see some new stuff on offense this week. Look for the wild dog comeback and a trick play here or there. No inside info, but I've seen what Neumann and Barrow have done in games like this before. Should be a fun game to watch..
