White is the standard colored jersey for away teams (since you don't know football). Teams usually have a primary and secondary color with white being the default for away games. My disappointment comes from my traditionalistic viewpoint. I strongly believe in respecting your schools colors. Just like when Virginia Tech used to be maroon and orange and last year they came out in black and red?! Never thought this whole fad would enter the high school realms..

But if you are talking about a personal foul (unsportsmanlike conduct), then its usually a judgement call. At least in high school in college anyway. The pros have more stringent guidelines (at least for my 'boys) but I won't get into that here. They usually let them get away with high fives or a hip jump, etc.

Nederland is going to win the battle in the trenches on BOTH sides of the ball. No doubt. Only way PNG wins is if they pass early and pass often. Nederland will be able to run the ball a lot better than these png fans are giving them credit for. Look for Nederland to be in control of the clock. Benjamin and Hopkins are two backs with different styles.  I also have a feeling we will see the wild dog this week. I would love to see Hopkins or Shaw as the wild dog.

Just heard the hosts of the Dave Campbells football hour talking about MCM on ESPN Radio. One host picked PNG and the other picked Nederland. This is going to be a battle. Nay... This is going to be a war..

The reason the bond didn't pass was because they pushed for too much at a bad time. PNGs bond passed before the economy tanked. Nederlands bond was up for vote after the fact. It was also too much. They wanted to completely tear down three of the elementary schools and that's just unnecessary. I personally voted yes but that's simply because of the stadium renovations. I think the vote was like 21 for and 79 against. Not sure what Nederlands gonna have to do to pass one. Making it more reasonable is a start though. Nobody said that the money from the refineries was to pays refs lol. The money certainly helps with funding projects and new equipment, etc. though. I'm not naïve enough to think that png will always have an upperhand on Nederland with these things though. Nederland is landlocked and doesn't have the benefit of two communities and refineries.

Going with the Raiders here. Vidor gave us fits with their secondary but their run defense was nothing to write home about. Just my gut but I doubt Bollinger plays. If he does, I highly doubt he'll be 100%. Lumberton - 21 Vidor - 17

I would like the png fans to list their excuses now. When nederland wins, what excuses are you going to give? We all know that you will all refuse to admit it when you get beat by a better Nederland team. So get them out of your system now because I will call every one of you out if you use excuses after the game... Most obnoxious people on earth=png fans.. The only talking the indians are gonna do is "we'll get em next time." I have a feeling Raines is gonna light up that weak png defense after Benjamin opens up the passing game. And I hope that receiver from png has his chin strap on tight because he is going to get hit in the mouth all night long.. Poor little indian boys...

I would like to see a return of the wild dog every now and then. It has been pretty effective. On the flip side of that, our running game has gotten better every week so gotta stick with what's working. As far as the passing game goes, you have to give credit to vidors defensive backs. I'm not sure another team has blanketed our receivers that consistently. Offensive line is doing a heck of a job run blocking. I'd like to see more improvement on our run defense to the outside. We give up big yards on the corners. DBs will need to step up big this week..

Lol some people I just don't get.. Who gives a flip about a ranking? Especially one based on a group of pollsters. Its not the BCS. Each team controls their own destiny. So just because you think you're team should be ahead of another team means diddily squat. Friday night is all that matters..
