Nederland always brings a crowd whether its a 20 minute drive or 2 hour drive... Dogs will be packed in the house... I am hearing the same about Tyler this week. Very doubtful he will play. From what I understand, it is flu-like symptoms. I think he is going to get checked out for H1N1 tomorrow. I swear, Nederland has a curse written all over the QB position. Its highly frustrating to me. Seeing such talented players not being able to play for one reason or another. On the flip side, hopefully its nothing too serious and he will be back for district play.

I don't really think its envy as much as it is uncertainty. I am still not convinced PNG is as good as some think they are. I mean theyve played three pretty weak opponents thus far and squeaked by two of them. Texas City is not the powerhouse they once were. District is going to be a rude awakening I feel. Good luck to the ndns, but dont let that head swell too much...

I am very confident in this team after last night's comeback. Tyler Smith is one heckuva QB. He put the ball on the money last night better than I've seen any Nederland QB do in quite some time.. He hit schlett on a deep post in stride and I was just amazed at how he stepped up in the pocket and delivered a great throw. Last night was a huge confidence booster for this team. The way Smith played, along with the comeback, will give this Nederland team something to believe in and build on the rest of the year. I wouldve liked to have seen more of Lovelady on Offense, but he did an outstanding job on D. Hats off to Cardenas and Brady as well.

Congratulations on a great season... I am so proud of the Dogs for fighting like they did... as far as the game goes... congratulations to magnolia on moving forward.. and call it biased or whatever you want, but I havent felt like this since 2000 vs. Bay City... I feel like the better team didnt win tonight...

I was very very impressed with Smith last week.. He performed really well.. But if Bellow can perform to his full ability, and doesnt risk further injury, then he is the starter no question.. Nederland has a bright future...

Nederland has a great shot at this one I believe... I think even more so than last week... If you really look at last week's game, barring two big turnovers early and considering all the injuries, the score could have been a lot different... but thats what makes football, football... the same could be said about Grogans big runs, so Ive just kind of proven my point both ways... anyways lol... nederlands defense has been improving ever since the vidor game... and it showed against CE King... take it to em Dogs... As a former player from a few years ago... I can guarantee you that one of my best memories, is getting to Pasadena after an early morning bus ride for a playoff game and getting off the bus to a crowd of bulldogs fans lined up to shake our hands as we walked in... something little like that stays with you for a lifetime...

They are definitely not a fluke... The better team definitely won tonight. Congrats to Lumberton, Hanna is a hoss... Now on to Nederland.. Our defense couldnt hit water if they fell out of a boat.. Whats the problem and why is not getting addressed? Also, the offensive line tonight was letting guys get to Bellow left and right... Bellow has got to have more time than what he got tonight, or our passing game will definitely be in trouble... I am very disappointed in Nederland's performance tonight... If our defense doesnt get some major adjustments this week, including some possible personnel changes, then we wont make it past CE King in the playoffs.... truly embarassing... Edit: and I agree... very poor play calling tonight.. although I wont hold it against them because I honestly think a lot of that had to do with some tinkering before playoffs just to see what else they could add to their arsenal...

I think PN-G will... just a hunch... its been talked about for a couple of seasons now and this year was just the icing on the cake... I am also interested to see if LC-M keeps Moody around..

I'll make it really easy for everyone... For Nederland to win: 1. Control time of possession 2. Run Grogan and run him often, itll open up the passing game (Big Ned needs more play action!) 3. Defense must make at least a few plays, most notably on 3rd down 4. Nederland's offense must also be Nederland's Defense For Vidor to win: 1. Keep the ball away from Nederland 2. Avoid dumb penalities 3. Avoid turnovers and force Nederland turnovers 4. Refer to number 1 ^

No.. their offense... they controlled time of posession and didnt allow nederlands offense to get on the field.... therefore it would be their offense... geez i feel like im in a circus with a bunch of clowns dressed as pirates...

How about Asa Cardenas, Jude Vidrine, Ryan Brady, and Brent Salenga just to name a few... if Vidor lets them get open, watch out....

What makes you think Nederland can stop Reynolds? Or Peevey? Or Pitman? Or Teinert? Or Dart? What makes you think Ronning is gonna just lay down and die and not sack Bellow several times? Same for Strother. You've only faced one other defense like Vidor's ... Central. And you lost. Don't come in over confident. Obviously you haven't been reading about us... I think Vidor will contain Grogan. Vidor's defense definitely know how to tackle. Just a gut feeling, but I believe Vidor will come away with the "W" in this game. You always have a "gut" feeling that Nederland wont perform, or show up, or anything else... At least lately... Why would you think Vidor can contain Grogan, when nobody has all season long? Sounds like an indian with sour grapes..

I dont post much anymore, but this is kind of an ignorant, arrogant post.. I am not here to debate what will happen in the Ned/Lum game, because frankly Nederland's defense is ugly, and I havent seen Lumberton this year... But to say that Lumberton has the best chance of doing anything in the playoffs is pretty ignorant in my opinion.. Livingston has proven it can put up big numbers, Central has proven to grind the ball out and play good smashmouth football and also keep a very talented Nederland offense to 10 points, Nederland has put up huge offensive numbers this year and has proven their ability to score lots of points quickly... I think all of these teams have a great chance of going far in the playoffs... Not just Lumberton, who has gone to the playoffs one year... who's fans think the "L-Train" (whatever that is) is God's gift to High School Football... and who's stadium announcer has NO class whatsoever... making fun of high school athletes on the field is completely unprofessional... act like youve been there before even though you havent.... He thinks tact is something you put in the wall... on a side note... as far as central goes (and livingston), I was very impressed with the level of athleticism in these teams.. If you combined that kind of talent with Nederland coaching, you'd have a state team... Not to say that Nederland doesnt have talent, but on a whole, I think Nederland lacks in really big or really fast athletes... always have... but coaching.... Undeniably Nederland has the best in the area....
