Thats not really a question that can be answered generally... It depends on the position of the player... For skill players (WR, RB, DB's, etc.) the focus is on Agility, Calisthenics, Quickness, and Hands... For Lineman its squats, power clean, leg lifts, and lots and lots of Ice Cream.... For positions like linebacker, its a combination of both.. you want the strength and power of a lineman, but accompanied with the agility and quickness of a DB.... Just my insight...

I completely agree with you... I think they will have to win both of these games to ensure a playoff spot... LC-M hasnt proven to me that they can win the big game... People always wonder why the Mid-County teams seem to always be in the playoffs... Its not cause we have extraordinary athletes by any means, we do have great coaches but so does LC-M... what it all boils down to is this: NED/PN-G finds a way to win... just ask LC-M... I thought Nederland's playoff streak was going to end when we were losing to LC-M late in the game, but they found a way to win late in the game, down two scores... Until they can prove that ability.. im sticking to my guns... No Orange County in the playoffs this time... 1. Central 2. Dayton 3. Ned/PNG (Winner of MCM gets third spot)

It's almost like death and taxes... alright I am not really that mean.. LC-M has definitely turned things around with Moody over there, but I honestly think last year was a false hope. Not real sure about tradition, but I will say the most spirited team I can think of is PNG... They fill the stands year in and year out... Cant stand em, but they have the spirit... Nederland does too, but seems like if we have a bad year, people find other things to do on Friday night...

Get your facts correct... Obviously you did not go to Reed... He did not accept the job until late last night, he had already contacted his players prior to accepting the job offer, henceforth Turgeon=awesome, BCG= The Devil.... Why dont you just move to Lexington if you are stuck so far up BCG's butt... He's gone, and we have a new coach, I could care less if BCG's name is never mentioned again...

It actually IS his myspace... This is common for collegiate coaches especially... It is a GREAT recruiting tool... Think about it...

Word is that the number one candidate is Mark Turgeon of Wichita State... I am not sure about the credibility of this rumor, but people are talking... I personally want Jamie Dixon... I just want someone with Texas ties, but even that doesnt mean squat to SOME coaches....

Nobody is stating that what Fran did was ok... Even at the time that happened, I thought he was being a little speedy with getting out of there... two wrongs dont make a right, and to say that A&M or his basketball players deserve what happened because of what Fran did is just speaking out of ignorance and out of your ___....

Trust me, if BCG had asked Kentucky to hold off the press conference until Friday Evening, allowing him to at least talk to his players and recruits, they would have let him... It wasnt like it really mattered when they had their stupid pep rally... they couldve even done it saturday or next week... All he had to do was ask UK to give him time to speak with his players... Something most coaches do in that situation...

Any coach that has any balls could have asked Kentucky to wait til further in the day to announce in order for him to talk with his players, recruits, and the students... I seriously doubt Kentucky would have had a problem with that....

As I have stated before... I dont hate him for moving on to better things and wanting to further his career.. Fine by me.. But the attitude up here and around College Station is simply this... We would all have wished BCG the best of luck and sent him away with a good feeling, but to be such a snake about it was wrong... For his players and recruits to find out the news by waking up, turning on SportsCenter and seeing THEIR coach in a Kentucky sports jacket is not a manly way to go out... I dont hate him for moving on with his career, but he could have done it very differently

Thanks lonestar.... Just listened to that interview... Could tell Billy felt bad about it, especially when asked if he had contacted his recruits at A&M... such a sad story for those kids... what a jerk...

Still frustrated... heard Dan Patrick ripped him a new one on ESPN today though... When asked about his verbal agreement to an extension at Texas A&M, GiLIARspie said this, "I don't have an answer to your question." At which point Patrick apparently dug into Gillispie even harder about his loyalty... I did not see this, this is just what I am hearing from other Ags... If you did see this interview could you shed some light on what happened..

I live here in College Station so I can speak for myself and at least all the Aggies I have spoken to and everyone is stunned... He never released a statement to his players or the student body....

What a snake... He better hopes he doesnt have to come back to College Station for anything, because I know about 45,000 people who would be his judge, jury, and executioner...

In most cases I would say yes, however I know BG... and its not about the money... its about his ego and what kind of legacy he wants to leave behind... He basically raped the student body and everyone who believed in him, just because he wants to be remembered like Coach K or Roy, but he never will be... I think he will be remembered as the coach who gave it all up and moved to Kentucky to have two mediocre seasons and then gets fired..... BTHO Gillispie!

I cant be as nice as lonestar was... I feel betrayed in a sense... Not just because he is leaving. Coaches come and go in all sports and I understand that, but recently he made several comments basically stating that he would not be leaving College Station anytime soon. Dont make those promises if you cant keep them... This sucks...
