1.
BH fans, I am not saying you shouldn't be excited that you made the playoffs, once your in you got a shot. What I am saying is that you have no reason to be on here posting about how great BH is this year and how they will be sending PNG home early. Every one of those statements is backed up by an IF. I agree some of these so called PNG fans have gotten out of hand with the comments, but like it or not at least the PNG smack talk is legit. They have something to back it up. No IFs. Anything can happen on a Friday night, but most of the time when you get to the playoffs the better team wins. 20 4A was 3-0 against 19 4A predistrict (including BH getting beaten at home against one of our last place teams). Outside of Dayton over our #4 I don't see it any different week 11.
Nobody is confused from BH, we know what is in front of us. But when poster after poster from PNG and their PNG brother from Dayton keeps blasting on BH, well you know it's a ... what's that word you guys like to use so much? Yeah! That's it, it's a PRIDE thing. We just like mixin' it up a little. And by the way, it IS just smack until the game is over, then one or the other can crow all they want. Just bring it, and whatever happens, we will be back to crow are to have some for dinner.  ;D

I received a negative karma for that one. Thanks! I see the prodding can only come from one side. Niiiccce!
UgotTRUCKED, You can give me that one negative carma, I collect them...... ;D ;D ;D  Matter of fact, I gave you a positive to not upset the balance of power.... ;D
Thanks! ;D If it was about their team they would have noticed that I wished the team & coaches well. That should have earned a positve one. ;D To be honest, I've never bothered with the karma portion of this board so I don't know how to give them. But I figured out how to get'em.  ;D ;D ;D

 4. Looking at the records PNG should win. More power to you if you do. But the rhetoric in here from you guys makes me look at you in a little diffrent light. Not only has your team changed since early in the season, for the better no doubt, but your fan arrogance is... well here ya go! And this also goes for the PNG wanna be that resides 20 miles north of BH. ERKLE 4EVER                    No Honor>>>>>>>Arrogant>>>>>>>>>>Pride>>>>>>>>>>>>Tradition Good luck to the PNG team and coaches.

Just pokin' ya!

The field ought to be a mess with the weather and remember what happen last time it rained ! I hope no one is overlooking NF we need a win to return to the playoffs and this has upset written all over it!! Still I trust in the Eagles to come out and take care of this game then take a week off to heal and get ready for the playoffs. BH 28 NF 7
Hey BHFAN and all posters. Just thought you guys may want to know that we will down one fan this week. BH EAGLE Herschel Williams class of 37 passed away at the age of 91. He is the gentleman who was always at the games with his son in law and grandson and until this year was generally about three or four rows up. This year he was in a wheel chair but still did not miss any games including the ones when he should not have been out in that weather. He got to see his last game last Friday night. He was a football and track guy at BH back in the day and got to see his Grandson play for the EAGLES in the late 80's. We will miss him but now he has the best seat in the house.
I didn't know Herschel, but know who you are talking about. He has seen alot of BH football and should be one that all BH Eagles admire for his dedication to BH! RIP Herschel and condolences to his friends and family. From the Baytown Sun Herschel was a direct descendant of Amos and Susan Barber. They were the founders of Barbers Hill, and his great grandparents. Growing up in Cove during the depression, his family farmed and raised cattle. Herschel attended grade school at Cove before transferring to Barbers Hill, where he finished High School and graduated in 1937. He played football, ran track, and continued to support the sports program throughout the years. During football season, if humanly possible, he would be there on Friday nights to root for the Eagles. He saw his last football game this past Friday night at the Hill.
I did not know MR. Herschel, but I would like to have. Rest in Peace Sir!

Not if you look like that pic and you have your natural, original plumbing. ;D Your going to have to update your entire stadium in order to get in that playoff rotation. 17. Every year BH gets the max out of its athletes ( IMHO ). Some people just don't understand that in the playoffs the athletes get better and the coaching gets better. You can out "coach/game plan" a better equipped team with good coaching once in a while but it will catch up to you eventually. Better athletes, better coaching is going to win most of the time. BH always has good athletes and good hard working kids. Do some research and look back at teams that go deep in the playoffs, usually there are some college football players on those teams, D1 more often than not. I bet you can count the players from BH on one hand that have played college ball over the last ten years at a D1 school for any length of time. Thats not knocking BH's kids/coaches, but rather I think it is a testament to the above described attributes. But that's just my opinion! I'll take our athletes/coaches anyday. Throw in a D1 prospect or two and watch us dominate. Go and Get'em Eagles! We can We will!
 18. hitman009 I'm not trying to put down your kids.....I think you have a great bunch of kids they are just not as athletic as other schools in your district.  Infact their character lets them win games. As for leadership and character, Price is one of the top in the state.  Very high up!! AS for your loses to "teams with Less talent"........  So you are saying you have better players than PNG, Dayton, GCM and Crosby, and you just lost those games because of coaching? ......... don't think so man.. if anything you were in those games because of coaching!!!!!  If you look at the stats, it would say the players lost because of fumbles, 7 in almost all the games.... Coaches don't fumble,  players do. they Usually fumble because a more athletic player hit them and could not hold on to the ball. Nothing against your kids......but the so called "problem", and I don't call a winning season and playoffs a "problem", does not lie on the field, but in the stands!!!!!!!!!!!! Very well said!

I know if you play in the D2 bracket there is one more game to be played than if you were in the D1 bracket. I just don't know were that extra game falls in the bracket.
With the 4 team playoff format, why would D2 play one more game than D1? If you have 2 teams in D1 and 2 in D2 how is there a difference in games played? Curious?
Back when only 3 teams from each district make the playoffs, there was a shorter road to State for the D1 representative vs. the D2.  1 team used to make D1 from each district and 2 teams made D2 from each district.  D1 had less teams with less games.  D2 had more teams with more games.
That's what I thought, I knew there were people in the know in here! Thanks.
 20. That use to be the case with 3 teams, but it should even out now with the 4 team format. Maybe some of these gurus in here can enlighten us.  :)
Is that the best you have...I think you have repeated that comment about a dozen times . Come up with something new or maybe it is a lack of intellect. And I guess you think Dayton is state bound. Give me a Break. I hope everyone from 19-4A does a great job and represents well......Goodluck to All from 19-4a the rest of the season and play-offs, to those that will make it.
If you want... I will save some Bronco play off football tickets for you when Barbers Hill is playing basketball. Dayton will have a much tougher time advancing this year, but certainly stands a better chance than Barbers Hill.
Are you still fretting about losing the disrict championship to Crosby? Look back through the posts, mostly everyone from BH has given Dayton and Crosby respect and expected you two to battle it out for the top spot. Enjoy your accomplishments, we're still rooting for 19 4A regardless.
 23. Congrats to GCM on making the playoffs.
 24. Congrats to Crosby! You guys deserve to be Champs! Your D stepped up with the game on the line. With that said, the BH D held Crosby to 1 TD each half. The O moved the ball plenty enough to win the game. Mental mistakes and turnovers is what hurt us. But that stops now Eagles, Let's make some noise! Take care of this last district game! Focus and continue to work hard. Are any of the players that were hurt on either team done for the year? I sure hope not.
 25. Not only is Viverette a great offensive player, but he had 9 INT's last year on defense, an all-state selection and 2009 Pre-season all defensive team in 4A for the Greater Houston Area.
