Yeah, Lumberton is playing at Daytons homecomming. I am not sure if this is an advantage or a disadvantage.

well I think that alot of what makes a good team is decided by the size of the town your in. Lumberton is the smallest team in our division. because of that we have less budget. and if we get a good coach like we have now, it is by the grace of God, because he is worth more than what we are paying him. Our talent pool is cut way way down because we have barely over 1000 kids. So when you do have a winning season in a smaller town in your division, there is alot to be said there.

I uderstand not bashing a kid or even the coach if it gets too personal, but when all your doing is stating how an EX coach affected the welfare of your players, deleting that is reading too much into your rules.

that was considered coach bashing. Thats crap. He is not even in the district anymore. He was our own coach! We have a right to be mad at him!

The last thing I mentioned was about him being buddy buddy with our superintendent. That was why he satyed as long as he did... That really hacked me of...whoever deleted that...I dont even know if thats possible unless your staff...

haha about the band.... Pirate fan, thanks for noting that we don't all act like that. If we were watching the NFL and you were my rival, I would trsh talk every player till hopefully they never touched a football again, but in highschool football, there is a way and ettiquite (sp) to trash talking. Rule #1. Don't make it personal to the kids.

some of it had to do with his contract and somethings had to do with a friendship he had with the superintendent. Apparently they were old football buddies. I hate to say that cause I really like Gus. but Fuller lasted way too long.

I garuntee, that before the season we were really excited to have him. You can see that from earlier in the forum before the season started. If we weren't any better this year, I would understand because it takes alot of work to turn a team around from what happened last year. Thats actually the whole reason that Lumberton has been so crazy. We couldn't believe he has done so much in so little time. He has surpassed everyones expectations. No matter what, this community stands behind him.

well the team next year will be mostly the same team as this year with experience and a few brought into Varsity from JV. So they will have been in the same program since middle school. The Sophmores now were under Credeur before as well. Everyone is addapting very well. Credeur has a unique coaching style. He is really intence, and quiet. He commands your respect without ever saying a word. He is that guy that always beats you at risk because you werent watching Australia... Seargent York once said when you go turkey hunting, you have to shoot them from behind, so that the rest won't know what hit them.

your dang right...of all coaches...he deserved it more than any other. He could have beaten those kids with sticks and I dont think he could have hurt them more. I am not just talking about the devestating season, but the actual way he blatantly told the kids that he gave up on them mid season. Teenage boys idolize very few men in their lives and their coach is usually one of them. There role model was a weak leader, who gives up on them when they needed him the most.

Does anyone know...I hope he never coaches again, but I'm sure he is destroying the spirit of some other already struggling team somewhere else.

yeah, there is a unique relationship between the Pirates and the raiders...Each team loves to hate one another. The fact is that each team kinda wants the other to do well except for that one game. After all, there isnt much of a rivalry when the other team is no competition. I want to see the Pirates and the Raiders both really bring it. We actually have the utmost respect for all the teams in the district, but there has to be a loser in every game, and I think Lumberton is finally tired of it being them.

its from a chant we used which was kind of rediculous because instead of the answer being "who dat?! who dat?!" it really needed to be "everybody! Everybody!" Now for the first time in my existance, so far, the chant actually makes sence...

I dunno, maybe he drowned in some toilet water... Credeur is a good man, and I think he was respectful to his boss. Credeur is very reserved anyway. But then again, Fuller didn't get in Credeurs bussiness either...

you know, I am actually going to admit my, incompetence her...I actually meant to post that first post on here as a responce to the poll "who will win..." I hit the new topic button rather than the reply button...It wasnt just your typical "We are better than everyone else"post. I realize its a building year, but man we have some momentum and it feels great.

we would say, we still had a great team and to wait till next year. We dont go away.

actually we were both wrong...the post is talking about the 40-0 streak of credeur and the juniors.

actually, Fuller didnt care about the Raiders. He let the coaches in charge of the teams have full control. Unfortunantly Noone led the varsity.

Why would I look at the varsity record? We are a completely new team than last year. only a few players from last year are still there. and they deserve to be cause they are good. The coaches plan that was there didnt work. I choose to look at the record of the people playing and the coach thats coaching them, and that team wins.

I aint gonna lie, Its gonna be tough. I think everyone is aware that we have the heart for it. Everyone knows we want it. Now we just have to believe we can do it. I cant say I am not nervous about it, but we will be there with my Red and Blue on, and we're coming to play.
