  1. And in some cases the actual Federal Govt (DOJ) cleared them in addition to those listed above.
  2. Bravo for them. I was surprised when I read this the WNBA was still in existence.
  3. "Momma".....from a 24 year old....always cracks me up. Oh so accurate.
  4. Prayers to all those working a beat tonight. You always have to be vigilant but please be careful tonight. So sad!
  5. Add another commitment to the team; Chet Jones to Lamar. Way to go Chet!
  6. Old Country - Milk Cow Blues by Bob Wills Newer Old Country - Rainbow Stew - Merle Haggard 80's Country - Fool Hearted Memory - George Strait New Country - All Crap
  7. Congratulations and welcome to the 'Dale.
  8. Besides watching my boys play, I absolutely love college baseball. What a season! Saw more Lamar games than I ever have this year. Hope to see them in Omaha soon. Man what a year. Congrats to Coastal Carolina.
  9. That is really pathetic they placed the national championship at noon. It would be completely different if it was noon on Saturday or Sunday. Shows a total lack of disrespect for the sport and the fans.
  10. The Gladiator 17U team is made up of HS players from all over SE Texas and SW Louisiana. The coaches have done a fantastic job of putting these boys in front of numerous college coaches. I have seen Lamar, SHSU, McNeese, DBU, TCU, UTSA and countless DII's - JU-Co's at our games. The boys already have 5 committed to play at the next level with several others receiving offers. The roster includes: (2016 graduates): 1) Jordan Johnson - HF - UA-M, 2) Andrew Wood - Hemphill - Alvin JC 3) Kyler Bumstead - Kountze - Alvin JC (2017 graduates): 4) Kelby Weyler - Warren - Rice 5) Trevis Sundgren - Silsbee - U of H 6) Daniel Bean - Evadale 7) Dalton Bennett - Jasper 8) Bryan Bergeron - HF 9) Caleb Edmonds - Anahuac 10) Chet Jones - Kirbyville 11) Kendall Kennedy - SHHS (La) 12) Logan LeJeune - PNG 13) Chase Partain - Silsbee 14) Nate Vidrine - PNG (2018 graduates) 15) Reese Durand - Jasper Not playing this year, but Trey Toney recently graduated from PNG and will be playing in Austin for Concordia University. A big thanks to the coaching staff Morgan Walker, Wes Koch, Sam Moore and James Bergeron for all the hard work and giving the boys an opportunity to be seen every weekend.
  11. They move into our district this year, and was wondering what they will have this year. I don't think we played any tourneys with them, or saw them anywhere. I know what everyone else has coming back, but curious about the Pirates.
  12. Pretty cool, looks like he had a great tourney.
  13. Well I went to ETBU, Lamar, Hardin-Simmons, Lamar-Orange and SHSU, but have followed Texas baseball since I was a kid. The smack that gets thrown out between the different schools gets old. I miss the old SWC days, and feel that is the way it should be. I don't get upset about conference loyalty. I would like to see them get a good coach, and feel like all those big schools can get whoever they want. UT, TAMU, TCU, TTU, U of H, Baylor, RIce, SHSU, Lamar, and several others - we have great baseball in Texas.
  14. So what is the latest rumor? Who is on the radar?
  15. Congrats to these young men - had a great season.
  16. Congrats to all three! Don't know the other two, but way to go KJ. Super happy to read that on Twitter.
  17. If I am not mistaken he did a very successful stint at SHSU.
  18. Gauchos vs Chantacleers! Wouldn't that be something. Florida is tough, but I like Okey State and TCU to make big runs.
  19. I couldn't agree more. Never have liked them, and this just helps with that feeling.
  20. Way to go Chase!!! Always have thought you were a phenomenal player.
  21. Very glad we (Lamar) got Coach Davis when we did. Now if we can Vincent-Beck upgraded Lamar will continue to see baseball on the upswing.
  22. Pet peeve:. Players at night wearing sunglasses on their hat....continue (sorry) just had to throw that out there.
  23. Both of those teams you listed will return a lot next year. The loss to Flatonia did not sit well with our boys.
  24. Not associated with TASO, but the last several years there are quite a few players on each team. I'm not sure they release a roster. There will be at least 20 on each team.
  25. Can't they go JUCO, which is not governed by NCAA? I can see Blinn or Kilgore getting very good / very quick with the right players coming in.
