Welcome back Jacob, and the rest of the family. Happy to have you back in the area.

Barbers Hills, Orangefield, Woodville and Evadale remain - as does Buna (the only team I didn’t mention when I originally posted). When the season started Buna was on fire, but then cooled down a little bit. Man did they pick the right time to catch fire. Best of luck to all our teams remaining in the playoffs. Pitching is great, and it keeps you in games but you will never win a 0-0 game. You gotta score runs so spend time working on scenarios, hit-hit and then hit again, and you gotta lay the bunt down when coach calls for it. Enjoy every minute players AND parents!

Dad, a Baptist preacher, always called Baylor - “Sodom on the Brazos.” He’s gone now, but that always cracked me up. The Christian principles that used to dominate the university are hard to find now days.

I read an article yesterday from a “national” news source. We were always taught growing up that news was supposed to be objective and simply to lay out the FACTS. This article was dripping with opinions, propaganda and was unabashedly one-sided. Then I looked at the author’s name and it was of middle-eastern origin. This was a National article that slammed Israel for defending their God-given country. Amazing!!!

Heck yea!!! I love SHSU. Graduated a LEO management school there, so I consider myself a BearKat!!!

Dang - in my son’s 4 years we played in some nice parks (Rice, SHSU, nicer 5&6 A parks), but Blue Bell Park is the cat’s meow. Go get ‘em Rebs!!!!!
