I know everyone was on the edge of their seats, but the Yellowjackets pulled off the homecoming win this evening. Was a great atmosphere tonight, and the parade was awesome this morning. Left a lil early to get back down to the lowlands but I think the final was 45-40.

Way to go Parker!!!! Have fun, outwork everyone and do what you love!

Depends on how long a bus ride that is. I mean if it’s anywhere close to 3 hours - it’ll be tough.

Now, if you’re coming off the West end of the loop take a left - right by the phone transfer center. I think the Sanchez Charter School out of Houston is coming to town; hope they don’t play dirty.

I’m sorry - I said downtown Chester when actually Aubrey Bradley stadium sits just off the 2590 loop. Anyway, just flag someone down and they’ll get you there.

It’s homecoming week for the Yellowjackets in beautiful downtown Chester, Texas! I believe the parade Saturday starts at 10, and the game will be at 5. Aubrey Bradley Stadium will be rocking, and covered in purple and gold. Better show up early if you want a seat. Looking forward to a great game.

How ‘bout them Rebels!!!! Man I read this thread as it developed and it was fun. I’m all about school pride, and wish the Pirates best of luck the rest of the season. Sure proud of those Rebels!

Nice win Rebs!!! A lot of trash-talking and nay-sayers out there. You just went out there, went to work and took care of things on the field - where it matters! River Bowl stays put on the Neches and on FM 105.

Brings me out of retirement to say.....CONGRATS to the Big Sandy Wildcats. I know Coach Hooker and the intensity, preparation, love and desire he brings to the field everyday. He brings that attitude everyday and challenges his players to outwork him. Fantastic season and just could not be more happy for the coaches, team and the entire community. I have two of my best, lifelong friends who work for Big Sandy and know this is really special for all involved.

I've enjoyed following the forums. Best of luck to all. Time to log-off and I guess attempt to concentrate on grown-up stuff. May the site have continued growth. So long from Chester86 aka Tim Bean.

Let me say I despise the UIL pitch-count. We had that game 1-0, and with 2 outs in the 7th had to change pitchers because of a stupid rule. That arbitrary number caused a complete stop in momentum, caused a new pitcher to come in and changed that game. Now, do not read me wrong - our sophomore that came in is a great young man who does a phenomenal job. He is a very good pitcher so please don't misconstrue that I am saying the loss is attributable to him. You win as a team - you lose as a team. This loss stings because I know we win if we allow our starter to get that final out. He was cruising, and held them scoreless for 6 2/3rd's.

Haven't talked to the coach specifically - but I'm guessing we're staying with our regular rotation. Daniel - game 1 / Parker - game 2, and Alex & Tyler in relief and on stand-by for game 3. But you never know - Coach Williams could always throw a curve and switch things up.
