Give it a couple of years an I feel Darrell Barbay from Jasper will be in consideration. We will be having a competition between all the Barbays lol they are all fantastic coaches

So with coach Darrell Barbay taking the reigns how do you think Jasper will do this year? I believe Jasper will finish second in district. I think losing their running back from last year will hurt, but I truly believe the qb walker will do great this year. He made some great strides last year.

I'm afraid they might. Norris is the only one I can expect to pull a game. Wandy pitched a gem but the offense just wasn't there. Stros have to start capitalizing more with runners in scoring position.

I have to say our plate discipline has increased tremendously from last year. Now if they could work on the pitching the Astros will be a solid ball club. The starting pitching is iffy. I only have faith in Wandy and Norris and as far as the bullpen Myers. Also the fielding errors are killing them.

I believe this is a great hire. I just can't get my hopes up until at least after he has been there for three years.

Well if he sticks around Jasper could have a promising future. Then again with Morgan we could have also. I won't get my hopes up.

I really hope they can work it out and keep Morgan. With Morgan I feel Jasper has a promising future in all areas of Sports. I've met him and his brother and they are both stand up guys. I feel bad for the players. Everyone I have talked to liked Coach Morgan and what he was doing.

I have to believe Carthage is doing the same thing. Not trying to say I hate Carthage or anything but everything he knew and did was from Carthage.

Talked to someone involved in the program and was told coach Morgan was reported to UIL for having to harsh a workout program. I was told this was a big reason for coach Morgan leaving.

If I didn't know a lot of these guys playing for Jasper I don't know if I would want to watch Jasper football anymore. A lot of these guys are my friends but its like a soap opera in Jasper and its to the point now where all I have is College and NFL. Today has been one sad day.

The new Cleveland lol I was thinking more along the lines of Oakland with Al Davis lol Team goes 8-8 and undefeated in division.......FIRED. lol

Let's assume spreadguy7 could be right,it doesn't Explain all the coaches Jasper has went through in the past 10 years. Something has to be up on the inside. I believe you might hire one or maybe 2 bad coaches but this is just getting ridiculous. It's becoming normal to lose coaches rather then normal to keep one and that's just insane in itself.

After talking to multiple people it boils down to 1.) people were still complaining about him being hired 2.) He wasn't being given the full control he was promised and 3.) people were trying to get him fired by reporting him to the UIL for stuff that isn't even an infraction. Again this isn't anything set in stone but from talking to multiple people involved with the program all their answers seem to line up with the theory that Administration was and is the problem and coach Morgan did nothing wrong.

Ok so I just talked to a football player who said Coach Morgan told them why he was leaving. I won't say why due to not starting any drama but from what I am hearing it was for sure administration and maybe even some parents that made this happen.
