4. It's that time of the year again fellas!! Can't wait for kickoff!!! Wish an injury free game for both squads and safe travels for the Crosby team and their fans. Looks like perfect weather for the game too! Couldn't ask for a better opening day!

Tri-City ISD School: Tri-City High School Mascot: Cherokee Colors: Black & Purple & Silver Gotta keep the Indian theme for the ability to keep Cherokee. I mean let's be realistic anyway, Nederland folks know Cherokee is by far a better fight song. School Colors.. Black from Ned, Purple from PNG, Silver as the new color (Silver is a good medium between Gold & white)
Let's see, PNG wants to keep the same mascot, keep Cherokee as the fight song and keep the purple and then change the gold of Nederland to silver? Nederland then only gets to add black to what already basically exists for PNG? I think the delusional fan thread was a few days ago...........
If the Cherokee was to be kept as mascot for sake of PNG's historical background, then the football players will have to wear clogs to represent Nederland's history ;)

I feel like there are the same amount of people as SETX puts in the stands in pee-wee games. And these games are on ESPN!!!
I think FSN was there last year to interview Bum Phillips and I'm pretty sure it was the "Game of the Week" on their show. But I don't think the game was aired.
 10. He pulled a Trent Richardson-like move there at the end of that run.

 12. When did Gibson decommit from A&M? Was just running over their commit list and saw he was no longer on there.
 13. I know this topic doesn't belong on this thread, but it's much more active. Thought I might get an answer to my questions a lot quicker. Anyone have any info on the local junior high teams? Mainly looking for info on C.O., Central, Port Neches, and Groves middle schools. Info on schools other than these would be much appreciated too.

Nederland is very questionable this and will def struggle this year in district
Man, is this silly or what? ::) We'll see whose "noses get rubbed in the carpet" when it counts starting on August 31.
Quoting someone then getting the quote wrong is silly
Would you rather - We'll see whose "noses rubbed in the carpet" when it counts starting on August 31. Or - We'll see whose "noses" get "rubbed in the carpet" when it counts starting on August 31. Really, lets get real. You can't fairly judge a team from one scrimmage. That's ridiculous.

 18. I hear this scrimmage is so important that it is being aired on ESPN. :o :o :o Seriously though, this is a joke. High school scrimmages are the equivalent to NFL preseason games. A score might be kept, but who the heck cares about the final score? Scrimmages do have relevance in that they are a great coaching tool, nothing more. Getting starters some reps, evaluating back ups and depth, maybe experimenting with new packages or plays. The result of the game carries no weight. Like they say on Monday Night Football, "C'MON MAN!!"
 19.
I think Crosby's new fast paced, high octane offense will put up at least 28 the first half.  This forces Ned out of their offensive style and makes them throw the ball more than they are comfortable with and after a few 3 and outs or turnovers, Crosby really starts to run it up. Crosby 49, Nederland 28
This guy doesn't know what Big Ned's D is capable of
 20. I can't believe that someone said the Vidor fan base is bigger and more loyal to their team. That is silly. I remember when I was in high school (05-09) and when we had home games against Vidor, the visitor side of the stadium was only about 1/4-1/2 full, and that is being generous. Vidor has a great fan base, and I believe it will continue to grow from their recent success. They just aren't on PNG or Nederland's level yet. At home or away games, more significantly away games.
 21. Nederland - 27 Vidor - 10
