Big statement looking to be made by both teams here. I'm a Nederland fan and my pick may be viewed as biased, but I'm picking Nederland in a close one. There is just something special about this team. No doubt this will be both teams' toughest test yet. I'm willing to bet Angleton will be the toughest offense Nederland will face this year in the regular season. I'm looking for a game similar to last year's Nederland vs. Pearland Dawson playoff game. Come on guys, this is getting silly. You can't compare teams from what you see in a scrimmage. Nederland was not playing some select starters on D cause they were banged up and I think I remember hearing they put some D-linemen on the O-line to experiment. On top of this, coaches experiment with different packages and stunts in scrimmages. I'm sure Dayton was doing this too, and they obviously found some success. If you guys are really trying to compare Nederland and Dayton from that scrimmage, that's downright stupid. People can say Nederland this and Dayton that all they want, no one will get anywhere until these 2 teams meet on a football field for a real game. I'd like to think that'll happen this year in the playoffs, but since both teams are likely to finish near the top of their districts the chances are slim. Good luck to both teams this year, and here's to hopefully meeting up in the playoffs so this issue can be put to rest. 8)

[/quote] If I remember correctly he scored probably 6 or 7 of Dayton's 9 TD's that night.  I know for a fact he scored 3 different ways that night via rush, punt return, and reception. I can't remember if he had a passing TD that night or not. Without him, the scoreboard wouldn't have been near as bad a sight to Bulldog eyes.
