You better be concerned about the SB but we will have an extra week of practice with our kids( for MD Madness) :P Good luck and I will see you guys out there this weekend for round two.  Really enjoyed playing all you guys this season, it was my first year in tackle.  My son still has two more years of pee wee ned white though so I will be back next year.  7-2 not a bad first year. ;D

Awesome football games today.  We pee wee white ned.  had major probs in the second half. Hats off to a great team today. Good luck to lumb. and WOS.  Enjoyed talking with some great coaches from lumberton white today.  Looking forward to Mid County madness now.

Yes PNG purple thinks it was a close game. I will set up a scrimmage tomorrow with purple. Just talk to your coaches we will come over there.

Really ,,, ??? I would put that right back @ you !!! The way this is set up ,, PNG (white) gets the real advantage here !!! LOL SRY Im sure you will take offense ,,, none really intended but come on be real!! I know our team is'nt scared to play anyone , if NED was moved to #4 we still play WOS hey thats great I want to see that rematch very badly !!! If you really want to play anyone , than support NED (white) and step up to playing 1 of the top teams to GET TO THE SB ,, not wait and play a top team in the SB !!! Im sry but im surprised that all of the coaches are'nt supporting NED(white) I am with the PNG purple team. There are a couple of things being discussed that really bother me. First of all, TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT ! At this point if you overturn a possible mistake by the board, then you force teams that have prepared for two practices for one team to totally change their gameplans to play another and confuse the kids. If it is indeed ABOUT THE KIDS, then this is wrong. Second, alot of you are saying how much this "benefits the PNG teams". If you have followed the league at all, that is a pretty ridiculous statement. Yes, we did lose to Ned. White early in the year, 33-20. We fell behind immediately on a blown call when the officials let one of their kids advance the opening kickoff for a score and then a two point conversion on an illegal formation. We have been wanting another crack at Ned. White since the minute that we walked off the field. We have played Lumberton White and we lost 14-0. Played hard and moved the ball, but had a couple of opportunities slip away. We were excited when we thought we would get another shot at them. Then I remind you, went to WOS and lost 13-6. This is the same WOS team that just beat Ned. White 35-7. We know exactly what PNG white does so when I say that they would much rather play Ned. White in their bracket, I am telling the truth. Just ask them. Guys, you have to beat the best teams to win it all anyway. I personally don't care who we play, as long as I can prepare my kids to play to the best of their abilities. I will argue with anyone that we played the toughest schedule in the league (Lum. white 8-0, Ned. white 7-1, WOS 7-1) so I am not ashamed at where we are seeded and wherever we end up, we will come to play. Some of you should ask yourself that if you played our schedule, reallistically where would you be at this point ? I think scheduling plays a large part in some of these issues that we are having. We need to find a better way to even up the schedules and make sure that everyone plays the same amount of divisional games ! Sorry about the rant but I feel like I should defend our team against some of you that think we are getting "some sort of gift". No offense to anybody mentioned above, just trying to make a case. All eight teams in the playoffs are GOOD TEAMS. You guys are a good team but do not stand a chance against Ned White. We let the score get to that by playing kids in postion that they would never play. We could have blown it wide open but kept sportmanship in mind. We let one player that ways 50 pounds run the ball at least 5 times. So if you want another crack at us I can set up a scrimmage before playoffs(NO PROBLEM)

You are so correct...I was highly upset with the WOS coaches not giving every kid their 10 plays. I later understood the coaches made a mistake and it wasn't on purpose. I was feeling really bad for those kids, I could have cared less if we loss. Heck we really did lose on the score board. WOS has an outstanding team, they still would have beat us if they played every kid their allotted amount of plays. As far as the seeding goes as long as every player gets at least 10 plays in does it really matters who their lining up against to play? If you REALLY didn't care who won, why would you take the forfeit? Just leave everything as is. From what I understand (from these forums) the coach said he DID INDEED play all his players the 10 plays. They just forgot to keep track of it.

I do admit that was bad judgement on my part. I am sorry. I myself am a volunteer. I volunteer for every sport my child participates in. (as a coach and board member) I spoke out of anger at the moment. I am man enough to admit when I am wrong. (Wrong for saying board members were incompetent) After talking with members of stjfl they have taken time out of their schedules and devoted it to this issue. However, The page on stjfl (playoff classification) is completely unorganized. The board states they take a little from here, there, etc... and throw it together to make the playoff scenarios (contradicting themselves numerous times in that one page). When an entire team of parents have questions, why? why? why? they need answers. I teach my children to stand up for what is right and wrong.

MY KID is one of them! That is why it SHOULD BE DONE FAIRLY!!!! oh and what are you on the board??? Lamar1996, or wait maybe your team was given a "break"

There definitely needs to be some changes in the rules for next yr. But you are #2. Playing a #7 seed team... (that should be #4.) They only teams getting benefited from the (miss communication/representation) is PNG. PURPLE & WHITE. White is STILL Playing #8 and Purple DOESN'T have to play #2!!!! (they get #5 instead)

I played in '96 WOS was always a dominant team as they are still today. Don't recall the score but know yall beat us

I can't believe all the post are complaining of their times..... We aren't even in the "RIGHT" seed. If anyone has a legit issue it's US, NEDERLAND WHITE -PEEWEE!

Only thing needed to be done is move NED WHITE to #4, Ned Blk to #5 Vidor Gold #6. PNG P #7, vidor blk #8. All the switch would do is move png p to the 10:30 game vs Lumb W and move Ned White to the 1:30 vs Ned Blk game. It would only affect Ned White. Lumb White. Nederland Blk. PNG Purple.

ICEWATER. Posted a new topic. Seems the rules were not followed as far as PW seeding. (per rules on stjfl) Will let everyone know what prevails today.

Thanks AllSportsMom, that is exactly what we (Ned white) came up with. All I can assume is they were drinking while/before configuring or they might have used SR div rules.

This is copied from stjfl website. , JR & Pee-wee Division 1st & 2nd place in each division will qualify based on division record (1st & 2nd place teams out of each division). There will be 2 wild card teams. Wild card teams will qualify for the 7 & 8th seed in the playoffs. To qualify as a wild card, the teams with the best overall record in any of the 3 division. There will be a total of 8 teams in junior and pee-wee respectively qualify for the playoffs. Wild Card qualifications & tie-breakers will be: Best overall record Head to head (if teams played) Points allowed Coin toss Seeding tie breakers will be: Best division record Best overall record Points allowed Coin Toss From what I read, best overall record should be determined before points allowed, as far as seeding in a division. Can this be explained, (as far as why PNG Purple is seeded above Ned White & Ned White became wildcard and not png purple?)
