My predicition is that this game has always been and will always be unpredictable... one year its 22-21 and the next year its 58-57... ( scores not accurate but you get the jest)... I will say these teams either blow the others Defense up... or can barely crawl to the other side of the 50... it will be some bonejarring hits, some ups and downs... I hope my pirates finish the sweep... Freshman won 46-12, JV won 14-6... now lets see if the Varsity Pirates can bring it home... Good luck to both teams, fans and coaches...

To Gilbert... I totally agree that the players on the field are responsible for the way the game goes... but you see the difference between you and I is that you want to point out the kids... well if you knew anything about being a part of a team, you would know that THE TEAM WINS OR LOSES AS A TEAM.... its not who did what... there are 11 young men on that field that work hard every week to play the GAME OF FOOTBALL!! Mistakes are made by coaches, Players, refs and fans... but the coaches and players are all 1 TEAM!! as a TEAM PLAYER you strive to make yourself and all around you better than the week before.. instead of bashing any one player you should encourage him to do better... if you think bashing a player or a coach will make him do better you are sadly mistaken... IF YOU THINK YOU ARE A BETTER COACH THAN ANY COACH OUT THERE... GET A DEGREE AND GET YOU A COACHING JOB... The players on the field are only as good as they execute the plan/scheme that is presented to them... you can take a team full of players that play with heart and make 1 heck of a team... if they execute... if they don't you keep practicing until they are executing.... Vidor is undersized this year... and each week we get better as a team... these kids bust their butts all week long... and to have someone come on here and bash them is just very rude... you want to talk about the team... if they played bad talk about how the team played bad... don't finger out one kid...

It was a great game from kickoff to final buzzer. Very clean played game from both sides... Very few penalties... With our starting FB Clark on the sidelines with a High ankle sprain ( returns next week ) Soph #36 Justin Moore filled in quiet nicely... Our defense in the 1st qtr looked like it was a screen door trying to stop blowing rain... but they settled in and finally played some good defense... The offense was hitting on all cylinders even with the new additions of #5 Richards and #36 Moore. Speaking of #5 Richards... my daughter said he was the recipient of the Army Player Of The Week Award... Was presented to him by the Army this past week... Congrats... We did have some turnovers on drives where were marching down the field... for the most part of the night we moved the ball real good... and when we were stopped on 3 occasions it was turnovers... other than that I think we only had one that stalled due to a penalty... not bad... The rest of them was purely from the Bears Defense stepping up and holding us still... We did well in all 3 phases of the game, offense, Defense and special teams... even in this lose this was a major step for our boys tonight... 1) We played hard and well on the road, 2) We went up against a high powered offense and held them in check 3) even when we made mistakes we came right back out and played hard and crisp. I think our boys played very well and were just as sharp and ready in the 4th as we were in the 1st... Keep up the good work and stay focused!! oh yeah and from all the beatings they have been taking here lately... very well called game... only a couple of uh ohs.... Thank You Refs for not deciding the game calling it fair for both sides and doing a great job... after saying that last bit I think i have to go wash my mouth out... LOL TIME TO PREPARE OF CENTRAL!!!
