1. Cool Thanks WO-S Grad!!!
2. I was told tonight by a friend of mine... that the crew that does our games on the net are needing donations for the playoff game next week. I will go ahead and say I am pledging $50 and I challenge the rest of you to help me get the necessary monies needed for the joey and corey to be able to bring the playoff game to our alumni that are not able to be at the game or who live out of state.... are there any of you out there that will stand beside me and help Corey and Joey make the playoff game?

8. I would think that you would play to win.... as said in earlier post... you get a big lead and then rest your starters... let them get some work and stay sharp... but do not put them in a position to be hurt in a blowout game... I do not think a coach would put his players who he has tried to keep momentum with all year long makes them stumble going into the playoffs... I surely would not... you want to go in on a good note, knowing that in the end, you have to beat the best to be called the best..... In my honest opinion if you deliberatly loose a game so you do not have to play a certain team shows no confidence in your own team.... and if they find out you have done this to them... could put a very big dent in your relationship, not only with the current team, but players and parents coming up that will have no trust in the coach.... I say NO play the game and decide it on the field not over a playoff pairing...
9. From his comments seems to me that he also has a good head on his shoulders and isn't letting all this attention go to his head.... I wish him all the best in which ever school he attends and in life...

12. As soon as the first years Fuel ticket hits... this will come back up for discussion.... someone on the school board will deam the $$$ can be better spent else where... and you know he/she will be correct.... I think it should be an option to stay in the district your in or move over to a smaller school district... might not work... but atleast the smaller communities won't have to pay the higher fuel bill on travel....

Cause we will be  heading straight at you all night long.... and when we pop one... we are usually 15 yds down the field before anyone notices it.... 2 play from Scrimmage against PN-G BOOM 60 yds+ ... unfortunatly for us it was the only big play we made all night....
1.  Lake Travis (8-0)                      Bye Week 2.  Denton Guyer (7-0)                   Won  56-7  (Little Elm) 3.  Longview (7-1)                         Won  45-0  (Hallsville) 4.  Waxahachie (7-0)                     Won  43-36 in OT  (Cleburne) 5.  Angleton (7-0)                          Won  35-20  (Texas City) 6.  Dallas Highland Park (6-1)           Won  51-13  (Royse City) 7.  Big Spring (7-0)                         Lost  18-21  (Abilene Cooper) 8.  Schertz Steele (6-1)                  Lost  34-38  (Kirville Tivy) 9.  Hewitt Midway (6-1)                  Won  14-0  (Ennis) 10.  CC Calallen (7-0)                      Lost  7-28  (CC Flour Bluff) 11. PN-G (7-0)                                 Won  39-6  (Lumberton) T12.  Brenham (6-1)                       Won  34-0  (Conroe Caney Creek) T12.  Aledo (6-1)                           Won  48-21 (Springtown) T14.  Birdville (7-0)                          Won  42-16  (Boswell) T14.  Denton Ryan (6-1)                  Won  56-14  (Wichita Falls) PN-G should move up to at least #8 possibly even #7 !!!
The funny thing to me about this post is that the 3 teams that lost... lost to teams that were not ranked around them..... and Calallen took one on the chin.... ranked #10 in the state and loose by 21 and only put 1 in the end zone... someone wasn't pumping on all cylinders...
17.
Somebody surely had a perfect week this week.  Easy picks for the most part.  BH let me down and I missed just the 1 game.
Missed that one an 2 others....
18.
One thing that may help Nederland, is that Livingston runs a similar offense to Vidor.  The Nederland defense started to figure things out in the 2nd half.   Neumann should have them ready to go against Vidor.
That has been a bad thing too, due to the fact that Vidor's shedule followed Livingston.... so everyone had a 2 week preparation for us.... I think we have done pretty good even with that happening tho...
19. Just to clarify due to homecoming crowd plus the extras that come to watch our halftime show is the reason they were on the visitors side. I even seen a Nederland ISD bus in our bus area... LOL they must of had a bunch... After half time I would say the crowd thinned of the people who were not from Vidor or LC-M. I am not saying I do not like people coming to watch our half time show... I just wish they would respect us enough to sit on the Visitors side and let the Vidor folk sit on the Vidor side... I do not like the fact anyone told anyone to sit down because they were cheering for their team... I see no other reason to go to a football game other than to support a team, band, cheerleader, twirler or drill team. If you are there for the half time show please be courteous to the home team and find seating on the visitors side... even you want to pull for the home team let their fans sit on the correct side...  Good game to the pirates... we were pumping on all cylinders and really looked good... very few penalties from either team and nice ball control eating up the clock and the ground... DEF was very tight tonight... nice coverage packages... LC-M has some great coaches on their Sideline and will improve drastically next season.. I know the Def. Cord. Mike Pierce is a very competitive person. He graduated Vidor 86' and he will have that LC-M Def hard to get past in a season or two... He comes Coaching over at WO-S under Coach Hooks as does the head coach... they know how to win and will have LC-M moving in that direction soon... GOOD LUCK TO LC-M the rest of the way... AND GO PIRATES!!!!! ROCK ON!!
20. Dustin was a great kid/young man who touched a lot of people's heart!!!! He is missed and will always be missed by friends and family alike!!! During this Deweyville Pirate Season.... I think everyone should keep his family in their thoughts.. as they are reminded of their loss every Friday night that the lights come on.... Rest well Dustin as your family miss you!! He was a great young man that was lost to all of us, through a bad misfortune....
21. also PN-G, Central and Vidor make the play-offs Vidor and Central will go Big 4a PN-G will be small 4A and we will never see them... the only team that can change this fact is Nederland... which would knock us down into the small 4A category... anyone else and it will be like it is.... also we have to rebound and take care of business or we could go from the mantle to the trash pile... injury bug hit last week and we have some wounds to lick and move some kids around.... lets just hope player adjustment keeps the 3 headed monster moving down the field....
22. One thing no one is thinking about for LC-M is that # of athletes that have came back onto the gridiron.... The team they fielded last year was not the best team they could of fielded if all the players would of been on the field. Now that Moody is gone the ones that didn't play are back... So your talent level has increased... New Coach New Attitude.... everyone buying into his system... and all is looking good... I posted a while back not to overlook this team... they will be someones spoiler and Lions didn't listen... Vidor has get their heads screwed on tight... not forget about the loss to PN-G, but learn from it and move on.... we control our own destiny in 20-4A... I believe we have the advantage over LC-M this week due to Homecoming... and getting b*tchslapped last week... I just hope we do not do like Livingston did and come out like lions and go home like cubs.... Vidor 31 LC-M 17
23. IMO.... I think PN-G is the more rounded team.... not saying that Central doesn't have athletes, Just saying the offensive scheme that PN-G Runs they have more weapons at their disposal... I think that their Def Line is quicker off the ball than Centrals. By NO MEANS am I saying PN-G will pound Central into submission... I think it will be the district decider and that my money right now is on PN-G.... I haven't seen central play since Vidor played them so they might of gotten a bit better and are just as strong, remember we played them 1st district game... and a lot of time has passed... i will tell you this... the team Vidor played last night was pretty awesome... they can hit you several different ways and are effective on the ground ( Harmon ) and through the air ( Doty ). They are very well balanced on offense and are very aggressive on Def. It will be hard to slip by them.... again I base my opinion on a game from last night vs a game played 4 weeks ago... so don't burn me at the stake... I know that in 20-4a if you think you can walk over a team... thats the night you get a mark in the L column.... Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.... All I can say is we have got yall out of the way :-D Now we just need to take care of our business and not worry with either of you until that time comes.... 20-4A ROCKS!
24. On know it was a scrimmage but PNG handled PAM early. Both teams have gotten better every week. Id say their defense didn't prove they are a number 1 team, they did give up 40+ points this week. versus a second string D, the game once was 42-14 with the starters in cmon So what your saying is that PAM has no depth and if their starters get hurt they are in trouble??
