  1. I guess if you take last years record of 0-10 for the bears.... you think that 4-1 MAULING of huntsville still holds any water??? I have posted it saying " watch out of LC-M they will be a spoiler for someone this year and will probably be in the hunt next year".... I guess the Lions helped me proof my point tonight :-D
  2. I will say that tonight I seen a great game of football... there were some bad calls and some lost fumbles... but those happen every week... in a nut shell PN-G handed us our hats and politely ask us to get the heck out of their stadium... as far as the last score I didn't like it... I didn't seem sportsman like... but I can see 3 reasons it was done... 1) Intimidation factor... if PN-G and Vidor make it to where they have to play again in the play-offs... PN-G didn't want anyone on the Vidor sideline to even have a notion they were in this game at all. If think about it... you look back and see 28-13 vs 35-13... the first score gives the pirate players some hope that you know we could of won that game... 2) like has been explained before... in this tight of a race (or what was a tight race before tonights other games WOW on them scores ) you do not leave pts on the field if you think you might need them... 3) Every one has been talking how tough Vidor was all the way up to this game... and how PN-G has not played anyone this year yet... and they have the oppurtunity to send a shudder to the remaining teams on the schedule that WE ARE REAL, WE ARE HERE, AND WE ARE GOING TO SEE YOU SOON!.... another thing that wasn't in our favor tonight was the temperature... it was cool not hot like it has been in other games... so with us not getting long sustained drives we didn't wear down the PN-G Def., heck by the end of the 2nd qtr i seen 3 Central lineman with their hands on thier knees gasping for air... thats because we were physical with them and drove on them all night long... I do not think we punted until the 4th qtr in that game... here we were matched with our physical play and they capitalized on our mistakes... we didn't on theirs... PN-G Great game!!! You were the better team tonight!! I wish you all the best the rest of the season... Pirates you have to have corner back memory here.... It happened... learn from it..... and move on... do not dwell on this game... in 6 days we have another game and our Homecoming.... do like WO-S and Dayton did tonight and get back on track!! Our season isn't over and we are not out of the play-offs UNLESS we dwell on this game... And that is all I have to say on that... next up LC-M... Who won tonight against Livingston 49-41... I bet the Lions didn't see that one coming...
  3. Word on the street is that Udderback's Career in football is over... his back problems are not going to let him ever play again.... of course that is the word on the street... but all in all... things change and hopefully that kid can play again...
  4. Now that Moody is gone all the talent that wasnt playing Football has joined all the talent that was left on the field.... DO not over look LC-M.... they will be spoilers to someone this year and maybe in the hunt next year... ....
  5. sounds like 1 hell of a game!!!
  6. Jeff is a great guy who loves the kids who come through his program... he is the type of coach that only expects you to do your job.... The class act comments are right on the money... I hope he is here for another 20 years.. under his program Vidor is not the cellar dwellers they use to be... i am not saying people fear us at the mention of our team... but they do understand that they will be in for a war... Nice article as always Gabe!!!
  7. He was speaking of PN-G JV... What team are you talking about?
  8. Will the winner of this JV game take JV District? or is there another squad hanging close?
  9. No disrespect... but I am thinking this could be the same scenerio tomorrow night.... back and forth... last team with ball wins game...
  10. I wouldn't expect any other answer from a lawyer LOL Good Job daddy23!!! HAHAHAHAHAAHA
  11. You are correct NDN... I never refered to PN-G as 1 dimensional ... Just look at these 5 players on that one team offensively... and i am positive there is more talent... Not sure what the whole "Coach" thing was about... 12. Vidor's offense may be one diminsional... but what they have over other teams is that they just do not have 1 featured back... they have 3 backs that are in the top 13 of all the running backs in this area.... according to the rushing stats on this stat... that is pretty impressive in its self... I am not say PN-G can't stop us, just saying its a different type of 1 dimensional... usually you have to key on 1 featured back... in this system you have to key on 3 different players at any one time... that isn't as easy... This game will be a good one no doubt, I will be pulling for my Pirates, but good luck to PN-G, to have a new coach and all they are doing awesome... good luck and congratulations for you season so far... 13. HAHAHAHA i must say I think your name is an OxyMoron... due to the fact that nothing in what you have posted has given Central any credit... and being a good sport gives credit where credit is due... you say they are lucky? Lucky how? because they capitalize on other teams mistakes? That isn't luck that is just good football.... IMO I was very proud of Central's acheivments last year... had a 1st year OC that is now in Fort Worth. He came in here blind to the youth he had... and then as a team they got it all figured out and went deep into the playoffs.... i do not see that as luck... hard work... determination... and good old blood sweat and tears.... So Central my hats off to you... not because your lucky... but because you WORK HARD!... I belive someone on here has a signature that says "Hard Work beats Talent, when Talent doesn't work Hard" Or something to that effect... All I can say is I am a pirate fan THROUGH AND THROUGH... but when the dust is settled and the clouds have cleared... i pull for whatever teams are left standing in the play off race until the last one is gone... 20-4A RULES! ROCK ON PIRATES!! WOOO HOOOO .... and that is all I have to say about that... Go ahead Soulja you take a shot :-D I agree somewhat. If Central keeps getting lucky they could win district. PNG has the problem of now having to face some big games. Vidor very well could do it. They have the same problem as Lumberton. Have to win out to win district or part of it. For Lumberton though somebody will have to have 2 big ole L in the lost column. Livingston, Ozen, LCM, Nederland, The same got to win out. Lucky, huh? I bet you were one of the people that say we were lucky last year as well, right? : No I'm not one of the ones saying ya'll were lucky last year. I was one of the one guys saying look how weak the big schools are in the playoffs this year. I mean come on all the small schools won most of the districts last year. I bet if Livingston and Lumberton had the chance to have played in the big school playoffs they would probably made it to state not just 3 rounds.
