When Crosby is winning I think that it leads to everyone else getting interested because either A) they like to support the region (PNG, PAM, Beaumont Fans) or They really hate Crosby (Vidor, BH, Nederland, used to be Dayton.) So i'd be willing to bet that Crosby being good does wonders for the engagement levels of this website at the very least.

My final preseason rankings 1) Crosby because homer 2) PAM because they probably going to win district. 3) Porter because I don't like BH 4) Bh because they probably end up 2-3 in district. 5) LaPorte because they might beat PAM and make the rankings look dumb. 6) KWP because they aren't a Baytown school 7-9) Baytown schools so who cares.

Brutal opening test. this preseason will all be about seeing growth because in reality nothing matters until districts. Now who knows with all the unknowns with both teams but i suspect this will be a little bit too big of a test for the cougars game one of the season.

Your district has over $600,000,000 in debt that's being paid by taxpayers. Hope you don't have a housing crunch. You have more debt than Allen ISD.

I think the one thing i'd say is some of the most successful programs in the state do run the 21 personnel a lot. However, it also seems to be substantially less popular than all the various spread system, run fits change, the speed to the los changes and the big plays in the passing game tend to be even bigger because 1 miss tackle in a 21 a lot of times = 40 yards and in a spread = 20 yards. We have the running backs to make the system work now we need the commitment of the offensive line, never in the last decade in a half will there be more scrutiny on the offensive line than this year. Blocking at the end of the day is about effort and willingness as we've learned a whole bunch of times over the course of the last decade.

When you taught the coaches... I'm getting old. 21 personnel will be a stark contrast to what cougar fans are used to seeing. Puts a lot of pressure on the OL/RB's. I'm assuming some west coast passing concepts will be applied or does it seem to be a more vertical passing game? any major changes on defense or is it still some form of a 3-3-5 that's so popular in Hs football.

I don't see the team being ready by 4 and 6 might be a little to early. Third is probably best we can hope for this year. If it was week 8 and 10 then maybe.

What week do Crosby BH, and Crosby PAM play?

I don't want to see Cougar14.2 claiming he liked this hire in three years. Here's the truth about Crosby's challenges. 1) The Admin post Rio has been a revolving door/temp service until the newest Super arrived. She is extremely well liked in the community from everything I've read, people I've talked to. The football/athletics aren't getting as much special treatment as they used to and academics are clearly the Supers focus. 2) The HS hasn't had a principal last more than a year or two for a while. What are we on 4 Principals in 5 years at start of next year? 3) Parents are entitled as heck in the district and think their little Johnny is the greatest thing since sliced bread even tho they would simply be toast if let on the field. This district has a huge problem with parents blaming staff for everything and not taking accountability for their kids. 4) You aren't the biggest, highest paying, most talented or most stable job in the immediate area. This being said when we hired Coach P we were more unstable, less successful, had a super that clearly was there just to be the axeman and had major financial issues. No one can say that's not a positive trajectory it's just not a linear increase.
