Honestly i think its the 3 defensive starters quitting, can't replace talent like that, im tellin yeah. I expect this to be Daytons only chance to show they belong in the playoffs, if they can't get up and play their hated rival, then they don't deserve the playoffs, but iunno thats just me. If they play the cougs close and lose thats one thing, if the get manhandled like GCM did them, i start questioning why this team isn't as good as we all expected.

Also that small defense made some very big plays this game including the first 2 drives by GCM in the second half Stoning 44 2x then preventing a pass to get the ball back, followed by 2 more stonings of 44 and then 33's big run. Also in not sure when you arrived, but before the 2nd quarter was over the cougs where about to go up 21-7 when a false start backed them up on 3rd down followed by a good GCM play on 3rd down, then the Cougs went for it on fourth and another false start... the tough thing is these refs weren't stoping the play so the cougs throw a pass and score a TD on that play. The Pick 6 we had at end of the 2nd got called back as well. GCM played Crosby well they made 2 mistakes and those cost them the game. The cougs didn't throw a pick and lost the ball in the air once (not fumbled because it never hit the ground) followed by a bad snap on fourth and inches... i mean to say the cougs got lucky in this game is a bit odd... we had 2 tds erased because of bonehead plays we made, not good plays GCM made, also the 4th down play with half a yard to go, was another instance where we should have scored but luck of the bounce went GCM's way. Great game, both teams didn't play the most crisp game ever, but the mistakes where by both teams, nothing was given to the cougs tonight because they gift wrapped the game just as much as GCM. I just really don't get all this flack after the cougars beat a team thats highly thought of in 19-4a seems like everyone who thought GCM would win has a sload of excuses but in the end all i really need to say is....wait for it.... Four years in 4A, and what, this year I think should make it 3 playoff appearances?  Not bad actually when you think how many teams are out there.  State Champions yet, nope; but neither is Dayton! I'm not taking anything away from Dayton as team, a community, a school or anything else....but to "consistently" bring-up this whole envy crap is just that...crap!  Yea, Dayton has won their district a bunch, but not this year.  Just let it go Lady.  Hear me good....BH has NEVER, nor will EVER envy anything about Dayton.  They are a barometer for an opposing team's successes because of their recent successes and nothing more!!  Go Dayton, win tonight and go Eagles, kick some GP hiney! Dawson is 8-0 and is going to play manvel and La Marque for the title the next two weeks. Montgomery is in Brenham's district... we put more points on them than any other team this season. Crosby is not turning the ball over... shocker given 2 sophomores run the show. And we Beat PNG, the Lee game was our CE King equivalent. For GCM to win your not going to have to score on us, your going to have to score a ton on us. As for your power run game, we can stop that... Dawson ran the same setup and they beat the cougs through the air. GCM is a lesser version of Dawson, but a team that hasn't shown the ability to throw the ball (the cougs big weakness). Cali is going to be all over your back this Friday. Something tells me 5 turnovers made the job for your defense easy against Dayton. your other win VS GP had 5 turnovers as well. So my full prediction is now... Crosby will force GCM to throw the football, and that will lead to GCM turnovers. GCM defense will face the quickest back they've played this year. GCM Defense will give up a TD pass of over 40 yards to the cougs. Crosby will Fumble the ball 2x but only lose it 1x GCM will have more turnovers than Crosby GCM will lose by 2 TD's GCM will rush for less than 200 yards of 50 attempts. Crosby will have 500 yards of total offense. The difference is this GCM relies on Turnovers for their offense to be able to pound the ball in. However the Cougs don't they consistently drive 80 yards for a score. As for BH-92 hes just picking GCM so he can talk trash when we meet for the game! I get GCM can run the ball, but don't forget Crosby might have the best back in 19-4a, he is certainly putting up those numbers. I just think the entire basis for the argument in support of GCM is based on two games. both time you received 5 turnovers. Here is what i mean by GCM NEEDS turnovers to score. Dayton 5 turnovers -> 34 points GP 5 Turnovers -> 45 points King 2 Turnovers -> 17 points Manvel 3 Turnovers -> 19 points Your best game of the year: Nederland 0 turnovers 20 points (14 points in last minute of 3rd or in the fourth) Also that's Nederlands best offensive performance of the season (points wise.) LCM 1 turnover -> 14 points (7 of them right before time expires in the 4th) Honestly your offense hasn't moved the ball on anyone this year.
