Crosby should be proud, your QB Merka made some very clutch yardage. And he controlled the ballin the third qtr to run off a ton of time. The secret to stopping Leroy Dobbins is to keep him off the field, and Crosby did that very well. Trench made the game saving play, because we've scored a ton of points with that very play. It's tough to defend and Trench knocked it out of the park slapping that ball down, when the game was on the line. We just came up a couple of yards short. Dawson is going to be tough, but if you bring the fire to them as you did us, it should be a great game. The have a quarterback that will scramble, and if he doesn't have a receiver open quickly, he will take off, you need to put a spy on him. They have a solid all purpose back, but is stoppable, just watch the Friendswood films. Pressure on the QB and contain on the outside, they will run a counter and misdirection play on you. Crosby offense should be in good shape with their speed, and a hurry up offense seems to confuse Dawson. They have situational players for third down and short yardage. Good luck to you and hope the "51" player wasn't hurts to badly, it looked like the QB rolled up his ankle on the short yardage play. Hopefully not ligament damage and it's just a deep sprain.
Good information thanks your kids played well nothing toi hang thier heads about great game, i just want that kid whoo was talking massive smack earlier this week to get on these boards and eat some darn crow... O and who needs a balanced offense gl 348 rushing yards! 4tds between 2 players.
 2.
Your QB reminds me of the kid Sorenson sp from Texas High going to OSU. Just hope he does not get hurt lowering that shoulder.
Hahha other people are more likely to get hurt from him lowering that shoulder than him.... but he also has a hell of a stiff arm! Remember the play he ran for like 55 yards and the two guys were following him and he was like swatting them off, heck one of those plays i saw LT for a second with that stiff arm. Hes fun to watch and we get to watch him for a whole nother season,
 3.
Went to the game and I I have two questions for the Coogs. How in the world did you loose to PNG and get blown out by Ennis? Good job and your qb is a beast.
haha want the cliche answer? We played cover 2 against these teams and not against PNG or Ennis =P
 4. 51, was the one hurt fyi prayers for him. (ankle is what i believe i saw him rubbing) Cougars like to play dangerous i guess... As for Dawson, this line tonight was giant tbh... They had a great RB and a VERY good QB he threw 3-4 absolutely perfect passes tonight. Honestly tonight the bombs we gave up were more earned than us giving them up absolutely perfect  receptions. Great game, we'll be moving on to rd 3. One last note... a question for Motgomery... Those Coogs hit hard don't they =P
 5. Indians fans showing thier class thats what this thread is! no excuses, great job by the kids, and we'll getem next time... Great game when they got that onside kick i was like god must just be on thier side.
 6. game never happened thier was a first round forfiet in 4a div 1 this year what a shame.
 7.
Cougtalk finally shows signs of intelligence... :)  I was beginning to think he was mentoring the running back that was compelled to talk more smack to our cheerleaders!
HAHHAHa... Greydog you know you'll always have a favorite place in my heart and Lap... you little schnozer.
 8. GOD I LVOE YOU TOUPS! and don't let the bear back in the game in the fourth quarter lulz
 9. Crosby, they return Merka, and i believe a lot of defensive players...
 10. I just going to Point this out its a college stat but i think it holds credeance... SWC average yardage per game throughout the league in 97 was 245 last years i believe i read the big 12 was 400+ thats what the spread does to football it becomes more offensive because the system is designed to get yards. the difference i.e. a negative to it... Redzone percentagres go down... your defenders have to prevent the deep and big plays and try to stop teams in the redzone or with less field so the spread becomes less effective... You can play 1 on 1 coverage with 20 yards to go but not with 60 because of the atheletes nowadays... hence why the Bulldogs burnt the cougs a couple times... It was a great game... And the bulldogs defense wasnt the problem honestly... The offense you need to look at aswell... specifically that o line crosby was all over yall's quaterback all night. I just think this game came down to the lines as it normally does and Crosby was both bigger and stronger than the Bulldogs at the line positions and it was whyy the won.
 11. Firing him would be a mistake, 4a is a different game than 3a, and BH has learned that but ya'll stuck with crosby, and Dayton, and PNG 2x thats great for a team... fix the turnover problem and you might have won those games.
 12.
I guess they don't have computers in Crosby?!  Can anyone give them a tin can on a string so I can tell them how much they suk?  I can;t wait til tomorrow, cuz the butt whuppin is a comin'!
GL with that.

Thank you your possibly the dumbest person ive ever seen. That weak secondary Should be ready... That Weak Offensive line put the hurt to an all state line earlier this year (Dayton), and that QB thats alright is being heavily pursued By AM, with calls etc. from LSU, Houston, TCU, and a host of others... or and that RB hes not very good just ask Nederland... they'll tell yeah how horrible of a player he is. He must of watched the first to games of the season and nothing since...
Would not brag too much about A&M recruiting him. Might give the wrong impressions. ;D Best of Luck Coogs! Do 19-4A Proud!
LSU AND TCU ARE IN THIER TOO! Nah but thier who is spending the msot time with him regardless.

I love how this kid assumes his quaterback will have a head after this game. This is whats gonna happen to your QB [Hidden Content]
 15.
Well I guess Crosby did beat Neaderland with alot of sacs (way to go 10, 35, 30, and 24), fumble recovery's (way to go defense), and alot of offense (and not only Merka) Offense executed and controlled the game.  Teamwork and determination won that game.  Sticking to the plan and staying the course.  Neaderland made some awsome plays but could not pull off the win.  Hats off the Crosby.
They didn't need to use Merka...
 16.
A lame attempt at spin control. Ned recievers beat the safties deep in the first half too. The better team won, and maybe the coach thought the Dogs were going to rollover, but 280yds passing shows that we can move the ball when the QB had time to throw. And no the backups were not in.
well we had 250 rushing yards... By one back.

My teams offense ripped your Coogs for 30 first half points! And Nederlands offense almost ripped your Coogs for 30 second half points! Believe what you want! I know what I saw...the same Coogs on defense and offense in the 4th that were there in the 1st. The game is on the PA News. Go check it for yourself.
Honestly your right... the same exact players where in... Hints thier no longer starters lulz.
 20.
Cougtalk, I feel as though the better team won. It was a great game though and an exciting ending. Discounting the Dogs comeback the way you have is ridiculous. Blaming it on "subs" and "injuries" shows your lack of class. If that were the case then to make things fair you guys should have had to start your Defensive End at QB like we did, take your best WR out at the half since he hurt his arm, and have your starting RB play the entire game at RB and LB like ours did. No excuses, the better team won the game, but give credit where credit is due. The Dogs made a very good comeback. If you would have told me before the game that we would contain Merka the way we did, then I would have bet big money on the Dogs. Evans absolutely ate our lunch though and was the difference in the game. Good luck to Crosby the rest of the way.
Never said they didn't have a good comeback, i just simply stated the facts the coaches protected players (who had previous injuries) and it almost bit them. It was more of a response to people who thought Crosby's win was lucky i reccuring theme in the first 10 pgs. I don't have to blame a fourth quarter comeback on anything when you get an onside kick its easy to make up 14 points quickly... Didn't get the second one the cougars marcched a little ways down the field and kept the Bulldogs penned behind the 50 the rest of the game. Just wasn't as "close" as the score may ahve indicatedwasn't like you had the ball on the two and their was a fumble. it was you ahd the ball on the 35 and couldn't move it and a kid tryed to do to much and the cougars recovered. Simply put this game was a good one and shouldn't have been. But if thats Classless call me classless i assur ei prolly have more class than any other "poster' on here i'll eat my crow we its time but for now it doesn't matter COOgs won, conviniclingly stoped the run sacked the quarter back a million times and played a ok game defensively,, and a decent game offensively. I'm just ready for a bulldog fan to just be like Good game You won... Like every crosby fan after the PNG game and like EVERY crosby fan after thhose 9 years of losing to Dayton.
 21. My Props go to the Crosby Cougars Offensive and Defensive Lines They both controlled the line of attack in the Nederland game great jobs guys.
 22.
Friendswood is a great academic school with average SAT scores over 1100, and the town is so so. Your growth is due to being in close proximity to NASA and other major companies, but not too long ago there was nothing there. Congrats on living in a nice community, but what does that have to do with football? Ya'll are in a different division, and we won't be playing ya'll. Personally, I think Central beats ya'll this year, but congrats on RECENT good years in football. Historically, PNG ISD has did their fair share of academic success, not bad for HICKS ::).
Crosby could takem... Seriously though... I got Brenham in this one... SOrry boys but... I think that brenham is honestly the better team... Nothing against you guys just my prediction.
 23.
If there were wholesale backups in the game getting garbage time as you folks are saying, your coach is an absolute freakin IDIOT... since I don't think he is.... I'll make my own assumptions as to who the IDIOTS are.  Grow up, Crosby won, they did what they had to do to win the game, but get a grip if you think they played the backups in the fourth quarter, Flanigan is not an IDIOT and it would take one to pull the starters at that point in the game.  Mabye that's how you justfiy the fact that the game was close when many Crosby fans didn't think it would be.
It was LB's who had injury problems and A corner who did to... Not an idiotic call a tough call in that situation. So the only Idiot i see if you. Also i believe that was our D coordinators Call, flannagan i "believe" is decently handsoff because he trust his staff. The game Honestly wasn't that close alot of things did go thier way and made us sweat... But honestly they had 4 possessions in the game inwhich they even had a chance of tieing or taking the lead and none of them made it apst the 50 yard line. Watch the game then tell the fans (WHO KNOW THE KIDS) who was in and out/.
