Depends on a lot of factors. If deemed to have moved for athletic purposes the student tends to be ineligible for a single year. Typically for it to not be considered athletics purposes there needs to be a life event change like job that required moving or clear quality of life improvement for the student. Also, Divorces and custody can sometimes play a role. Also, children of teacher can move to any district that their parent currently teaches at. However, the district committee determines eligibility initially. If a player transfers from school A to school B, the school file all their paperwork and it's approved then it can be deemed for non-athletic purposes. However, as is the case is some transfers if a student transfers from school A to school B and School A contest the validity of the transfer then it goes through a whole process that can eventually lead to the State determining eligibility for student. The burden of proof is on the student which is about the least democratic thing we could possibly do but nonetheless why punish coaches when you can punish students. I did a deep dive about a month ago looking into these rules.

Keep that same energy for your Falcons.

Yea, I think the ability to manufacturer some points will be big if Crosby has any chance. That being said Crosby won't win this game by having the best player on the field that will likely be on the other side of the line of scrimmage so they need to make something happen. Fumbles, picks and tricks may make some puppies sick.

LBJ Austin is very good, but their district is subpar.

Coach P gets to throw the kitchen sink this week. If you've watched Crosby before we always throw something at the defense that we haven't done before. I have a feeling it might be some two QB sets. Give them a look they will have never seen before and make the boys on the field have to figure it out. Unlike previous years we don't get to rev up in the playoffs we just have to hit the pedal and go. I expect if we win the flip we ask for the ball. I expect us to score on the first drive, we do a very good job of scripting that first drive. I think this game will all be about confidence. If the Lobos allow Crosby to get some early confidence then this will be a barn burner. However, there's also the possibility the Lobos just complete impose on Crosby. Crosby needs a fast start, and need to turn in into a shoot out because we are unlikely to be able to contain the Lobos running game This feels worse than the Texas High game because we don't have the dynamic duo in the backfield this year nor do we have that defense this year. Crosby will have to play above their level of play this year and will have to score and not make mistakes. Crosby can score, we have excellent ability to mix, there is no singular point of focus that you can key on because we have 3 senior receivers that can make play, two runningbacks that can make plays, and probably the best TE we've had since like 08'. Z. George was the last time we had that kind of skill level at TE. Coach P has a little madness behind his play calling and offensive strategies in the playoffs. What other coach would have flipped their RB/WR in the playoffs? What other coach would have gone from 65% blitz rate against Texas High to less than 20% against FBM. I think we will have a great game plan and we have kids that believe they can beat Longview. Most teams don't think they can, Crosby legitimately thinks they'd be the 1 seed if they hadn't had so many injuries this year (it doesn't matter if that's true because the kids believe it.) That all being said the Lobos are a heavy heavy favorite.

5AD1 District 8 and Region 2 discussion.

O no top to bottom best district in HS Football I mean what chance do any of us really have. PAM is our only hope maybe they can beat the 4 seed if we get really lucky. We are just a bunch of tiny 5AD2 schools that can't play with the big boys. I mean Crosby is literally the smallest school in all of 5AD1. -

Crosby get's the unassailable Lobos we can't win it's an impossible game why even play it. -
Thanks to Thursday games this has simplified. Barbers Hill BH is the 2 seed with a win. BH is the four seed with a Loss of 2 or less. BH is out if loss by 3 or more. Crosby Crosby is a 3 seed if Porter wins by 3-9 points. Else 4 seed. Porter Porter is 3 seed is win by 10 or more Porter is four seed with win by 3-9 points Porter is out with loss or win by 2 or less. Kingwood Park 3 seed with BH win 2 Seed with BH loss.
-
In this scenario it would be tie broken via head to head. So Porter would be 4 seed.
-
No, if what was said above. Crosby is rooting for NCP by 5 or less as it would get us three seed. If what was said above is true then Crosby is the 4 seed in every scenario but an NCP win by 5 or less.

The way that's written is confusing... Either you said A. Points tiebreaker will be used to rank final 3 teams and only if the points total were equal between two teams would they use head to head. or B. You are saying that three way tie is decided by the point differential and then the last two teams are determined by head to head. I think you mean A but the way that's written its hard to tell.
