[quote name="Titletown2" post="1356030" timestamp="1355757994"] Congrats to Newton on a great season. I was at the game and Yoe won because they made the least mistakes. Penalties at crucial times and Yoe being fundamentaly sound and discipline were the reasons Newton lost. The first crucial penalty for Newton came as they appeared to have a saftey and got called for facemask penalty. Then, later they have Yoe stopped inside the 5 twice and both times they have penalties. You can't give a team the caliber of Yoe's extra plays inside the 5. The fumble at the end of the 1st half didn't help either. I guess though, according to some on this site, these are all the coach's fault. In the second half, penalties again cost Newton. Several times they would start a drive 1st and 15 or 1st and 20. The recievers also dropped some passes on some 3rd and 4th downs. Yoe didn't have the penalties and they tackled well. My point is there were several reasons why they lost the game. Instead for blaming the Newtion coaches why don't you just give credit to Yoe for playing a great game. This game was won by the team that made the least mistakes. Which in the playoffs, is usually the way they are decided. Newton will be back strong again next year.
