Dayton will be outclassed and outcoached.
OUTCLASSED and OUTCOACHED? Really? Now that was a low blow. These are kids you are talking about. What rock did u slither out from under?
I said this in another thread, concerning a game leading up to this one.
Well if you saw the way some of the Angleton Assistant Coaches conducted themselves on the sidelines, it will shed a little light on the way the players acted. Finis Vanover usually keeps a pretty tidy ship, but there was a lot of that street thug BS going on that really should be left off the field. And that goes for any team, the gridiron is a battlefield, but it is also a place of respect.  I don't expect that in the Dayton Game, I have never seen anything but a class act come out of there.
I meant every word of it. Never seen ANYTHING but a class act come out of Dayton High School. Jerry Stewart is as classy as they come, he's not always a sweetheart, but he's straight up and no nonsense. Here's a good article on him, and a kid who I am really pulling for down the road, because he is just a really great kid, great skills and even better attitude. [Hidden Content] Like I said before, I expect this to be one of the great games of this year, maybe any year. Truckloads of talent are going to take the field on both sides, and it will be the one to see. I met a lot of really great Dayton fans after our loss to Crosby at Leonard Stadium, they gave Waller a beating on the field, but were top shelf fans and players off the field. I have a lot of friends kids playing in this game, and look forward to the show.
nice post...it's mikehoncho approved...
 2.
Doesn't Friendswood have to get past Pearland Dawson first? Assuming they do that and meet up with Lake Travis; Friendswood will have to play even better than they did against Central to hang. Just my two cents. If FW plays perfect football; LT 42 FW 30 If FW doesn't play perfect football; LT 52 FW 13 If LT plays horrible football and FW is flawless; FW 24 LT 20 FW will have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to take this one. Just an opinion. That's what this is supposed to be. Don't go hatin!!!!
for that to be the score, LT would have to not show up...
 3.
Brenham wins this one. Dayton will be outclassed and outcoached.
even if the Broncs were to lose, I will GUARANTEE you it won't because they were outclassed, and definitely not outcoached...nice post though
 4.
19-4A is still in it because they have not faced Brenham yet....wish our second round opponet was 5-6???  Pulling for Dayton...but just sayin.....
regardless of 2nd round opponents...the Broncs beat a 20-4a team out of the box, then 2 more to reach their THIRD STRAIGHT regional final...just sayin' my money's on big Stew...
 5.
Ok so who on here can get it to Coach Stewart before Friday?
I would love to be a fly on the wall when someone suggests, to Big Stew, how he should motivate his Broncos I'm just sayin'
you're dang right they did...X Franks riding #66 to 200+ yards...that O Line made it happen
I've been saying all year that this O line is one of the best I've seen. Untill recently the rest of the offense has stalled from time to time. Looks the whole offense is firing on all cylinders now! Amazing blocking clinic in the Waller game, by not just the O line, but the receivers as well.
Armchair coaching but they have to keep giving Franks the ball.  That helped the offense in so many ways the other night.
I hope the armchair coaching comment wasn't direct @ me...I'm just stating facts...dayton's O Line owned Waller...
Not at all, haven't you heard I'm the best armchair qb this side of the Trinity.  With the run game there it really opens up Dayton's offense.
whoa...I'm still all fired up from the game Friday... my bad...maybe I was hearing in my head "Monday Morning QB"...but now, reading it in context, I see what you meant... and, I agree...let's ride those sweathogs up front through El Campo's D

 11.
Dayton should be able to keep it close for about a quarter.  Final Waller 37  Dayton 14
thats more points that Waller's scored this season, combined...
 12.
I have been talking to Travis Stewart from DCTF over the last week via email about the lack of coverage the Golden Triangle has been getting and he sent this response.  If anyone could help him out with this the area coverage might improve or this has already came up and nothing happened, not sure but wanted to get it out just in case. "Sorry – I mistook your area. Your argument is well-founded, as that’s a bit of a “Bermuda Triangle” for us. We don’t have any contributing photogs from there and there’s not one super-reliable stat database for us to get good numbers out of (unless I’m missing one – I’d love to have one if you know of it!) We have to rely on the Chronicle mostly, and their numbers can get kind of shaky, especially down into the 4A Golden Triangle area. This season was especially tricky in those ranks, as 20-4A was a quagmire of closely-matched teams. Very difficult to predict. But that’s why we went out and added a blogger named Kevin Springfield, who’s in his first season with the site – you can get to his stuff via the Statewide Blogs center. I’ll admit we’re behind on coverage of that region, but that’s why we went out and got Kevin, a local – we want him to help us learn and follow the going's out there. Any help you can provide would also be quite welcome. We want to make sure we keep everyone in the fold as much as possible. Every region is unique, and we want to treat it as such. thanks much, and best wishes – Travis Stewart  | Managing Editor, New Media IMG | Dave Campbell's Texas Football | Texas Football.com O: 972-428-5721 • C: 713-449-8451 • F: 972-392-5880 2828 E. Trinity Mills, Rd. Ste 106 | Carrollton, TX 75006 [email protected]
this has been a problem for years...between this and the old "High School Xtra", they never give any love to the Golden Triangle/SeTX region and very little to the Houston area...besides North Shore and Katy...and LaMarque when they were killing everyone... They, instead, give copious amounts of coverage to horrible areas like west Texas (El Paso, etc) and the "Super Centex" region... I totally agree with you and am surprised that he wrote back, at all...much less with an admission of guilt... good email by you, kudos

BTW, Reagan was probably the worst team I've ever seen play, on a Friday night...so this score isn't indicative of how good LBJ is... Broncs win with a well conditioned team and out run them...
Mike Honcho, I saw you guys there in the press box.  We were the two guys on the end to your right.  And you're right, Reagan looked like the Bad News Bears.  When Reagan's O Coordinator started yelling for the flea flicker I almost lost it.
I think we were actually to your right, we weren't in Bronco gear...but you're right...I was on stand-by for the Statue of Liberty at any minute!!

 16. Well that about says it all! Thanks Captian Obvious! It's not X's and O's, it's Larry's and Joe's. What does that even mean? And welcome to the argument, apparently...the last 10 posts were comparing previous records...
 17. That is the best graph I've ever seen...I reached to adjust my monitor, but realized there was that much purple for a reason... I don't think we should start getting into coaching arguments...really fellas? I'd put Dayton's coaches up against anyone... I'm positive that Big Stew has proven himself in SE TX over the last 13 seasons...or maybe it's the following info: *Jerry Stewart (13 years) 116-47 at Dayton (71% winning record)* 13 consecutive playoff appearances Playoff Appearances 96,97,98,99,2000,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08 Bi-District — 96, 97, 99, 2004, 05 Area — 2000, 01, 06 Regionals — 1998, 2003 Quarterfinals — 2002 Semifinals — 2007 RunnerUp — 2008
 18. Not sure where to start...touche', you're really proven that Crosby folks are well educated. Your fine diction, accurate spelling and impeccable grammar has really set me straight. I'm sure most of the Div I scholarships were well deserved and you guys are right on track, with your academics. I know how difficult the admissions requirements for Lee College are, so kudos to you guys. One quick note, a forced fumble is a completely different than a fumble. I from what I heard/saw, most of the fumbles were "muffs", not forced by the defense. Whoever comes up with the ball is credited with a fumble recovery, not a forced fumble. Just as an FYI for you guys. No need for "crow", didn't forecast a Bronco victory, or score, etc... Go 'Broncs...congrats 'Cougs, you were definitely on your game Friday night.
 19. I agree w/ the flipper..."coug fan girl" comes out of the woodwork to give "Daytown" her thoughts? Looks like "Crostbie's" academics are keeping stride with their athletic program... I really hate to see Dayton's program lose at all...but to a town whose fans, that live less than 10 miles away, can't even spell their opponent's name, when I'm sure they've lived there all their lives...don't they still sell spirit ribbons on Fridays anymore? Perhaps she should spend a quarter, get one of those ribbons and study who the opponent is so she can effectively insult the losing team with some dignity. Fumbles...Dayton's setting records with the most fumbles in a 12-man football game...I think we're clear that gifting the opposition with 7-8 turnovers is the contributing factor in a loss like this... it's been a while since I've been here, but the "coug girl" person set me off... Let's go 'Broncs...pull this season out!! I have faith Big Stew will let the kids know what's what this week...I don't see another loss anytime soon...
