I think Burkeville has a shot... They are under new leadership and direction and they are looking good..

It's going down.... Tomorrow night in Kirbyville.. Leggett vs Goodrich @ 6pm and Burkeville vs Spurger at 8pm.. The LOSERS will play Friday night at 6pm and the Winner will play at 8pm

Goodrich is a very atheltic team that likes to run the entire night... never really ran a offense, just jump shots to the middle # 5 and #12 and fast break lay ups.. number # 21 hit a few from the outside but #5 is their "big guy". For those who think we from Burkeville is just making excuses about losing.. fyi .. in the girls game against Goodrich.. the refs called literally two fouls all night against Goodrich girls.. Our girls had 16 fouls for the entire game. they also had bruises and scratches. one of our girl players was being choked on the floor and the ref called a jump ball....

If he's see that the teams are unequally matched, he will pull his starters and put the second string in... Now if the score gets too close while second string is playing he will change the players again to ensure the win.... What does it prove to run up the score on a novice team? and yes... As we have learned, a win is win no matter what the margin.

Itsa 4 team race  ;) [/quote] Not trying to jump the score way up, just saying I counted 20 missed layup myself and I didnt get there until close to the end of the second period. 20 X 2 is 40 , so I just added the missed pionts to the already scored points.. to say that..I didnt add any to spurger because the were making thier shots.. 100% percent Mustang.. [/quote] I was at the game last night and I don't think anybody tried to sway the game in any direction toward either team. Yes the ref's made some bad calls, both ways , but in the end Burkeville lost that game because they missed about 20 or so easy lay ups.. had they performed in that area the score would have been 80+ to 46.... also Burkeville struggle on Defense and rebounding as well.
