Tarkington will have to play better than they did last night to beat Cleveland and Liberty, but they can. They made too many sophomoric mistakes. IMHO, they will play with Cleveland and Liberty, and they showed something new for Tarkington. They did not hang their heads and give up when they were behind. They fought back and won, a new course for Tarkington. It looks like these kids and their coaches have worked hard. Good luck to them.

Bet this is gonna be a good, competitive game. I'm going with CS in a squeaker, 21-20.

I had a hard time picking this game.  H-D did very well against a poor Hardin team, and Kountze ran up a big score against Shepherd (who also had a good offensive game).  But, I gotta go with Hull-Daisetta.

I'm going with Shepherd because of their impressive showing against Kountze, especially after a year as bad as the last. Good luck to both teams. It should be a good game.

Don't laugh.  I know it's Tarkington and I know they played Huntington, but Tarkington's sophomore quarterback Hunter Johnson rushed for 211 yards yards and passed for 78 yards. Those are good numbers and signal that better times are coming to a program that has struggled for decades. Congratulations to Johnson and the Longhorns.

Tarkington is much improved. Their QB looked strong and talented for a sophomore.
