  I think that coach Willaims philosophy will be the same as it was in 2000.  He will probably be flipping for a 2 out of 3 series.  Most teams in 1A only have one pitcher.  The rebels would rather take a chance that their sticks are bigger than the other teams.  It worked for him in 2000 ( i think they had a few guys that could pitch though) So we will just have to wait and see, but that is my guess.

  Its hard to get any info on 1A teams.  They kinda get left out with all the bigger schools.  Just trying to find some info on their possible competition.

If the big school wins, they should have, and if they loose their pride is kinda hurt. Coaches dont want that before the playoffs.

  What do you guys think about Evadales chances this year.  Kinda hard for me to tell with the rebels not having much competition this year.

  Come on coop.  Im not saying that they are going to win, im just saying that they need to see some good pitching, thats all.  Im not talking about teams like jasper, orangefield or bridge city either, lets not get carried away here.  Just looking for a few solid warm_up games, dosent have to be 3A teams, i was just saying

  Does anyone know anything about Shepherd.  I haven't heard anything about them this year.  What classification are they and what is there record.  Just trying to see if this is going to be a challenging game for the rebels or just another 5 inning game.  Hopefully the rebels can get some descent warm-up games with some 3A schools so they can see some descent pitching.  I think it will be tough for them to get a larger school to give them a warm-up game though because if you are a bigger school, you are supposed to beat them and it does you know good, But if they beat you right before the playoffs, thats probably not to good for your team moral.  Thats just the way i see it, but hopefully they can get some descent warm-up games.

Who do you got.  The Rebels have been pretty dominant this year. 

there maybe some exceptions to the 3a and down comment but i dont think in any way there would be a ten run rule involved in the first.  how many 3a teams are there in this area.  alot.  i still stand by my words though.  these boys are going to be pretty salty themselves.  maybe checkmate is right. only time will tell though. i wouldnt bet against them

Evadale will be very competative this year mr johnson.  they can play with anyone around here in 3a down. trust me

gotta keep this thread on top.  it has the potential to get reel good.

all the way to state every year? c'mon chron.  even in 1a you have to have more than one pitcher.  and throwing harder means that it only goes farther off the bat.

Checkmate you might be right, everyone on this thread knows that what you say could be a possibility but they are just being proud supporters of their team and you know how that goes.  Mart is probably loaded for a bear.  We just have to wait and see. Coach williams and his staff will be as prepared as they can be.  They will have given the boys all that they need to win the game, the rest is up to them. I hope for the best

Hey checkmate, is it just Evadales football district or their sports districts in general that are so weak because if im not mistaked, the rebels have 2 state championships in their pocket.  Just asking

if evadale has the talent that they are supposed to have then they should be better than the team that won state in 2000. (they were pretty good though)

yeah right,  if the dogs are that good then they shouldn't have needed to show their tricks.  they should have taken care of business and rested their studs for Friday night.  why does everyone hate evadale so much? are the JEALOUS?
